I ate lunch here after a round of golf and a bit of gambling while at Riverside Casino and Golf Resort. (NOTE: This dining venue is located WITHIN the casino floor, so children are not allowed to patronize this restaurant.) Here are my thoughts below! Food: I order a "Book Burger" which is essentially the restaurant's take on a bacon cheese burger. The burger came with a side of fries. The meal was very average to subpar. The burger itself was dry and did not have much flavor. The patty was very thin and looked like it might have just been a frozen puck before it was prepared. I'd rate the meal a 4.8/10. Service: Despite the subpar food, the service here was very good. Attentive waitresses and prompt service! Ambiance: My motivation for coming to this sports bar was not for a specific game/viewing party. However, this place would be EXCELLENT for those who enjoy gambling and want to catch an Iowa/(Insert your team's) sporting event. The bar has a calendar of upcoming viewing parties they host throughout the coming weeks! Ample TVs and good vibes abound! All in all, if Draft Day stepped up their culinary abilities, this would easily break into a 5/5 sports bar. read more

Madison was our server. She did a great job continually checking in on us. They do have all local taps, but I was hoping for more in the draft beer department; the taps seemed limited. The burger was nicely prepared. Good flavor and didn't come dressed, thankfully. They don't have MLB Extra Innings as indicated on their website, which is why I made the trip in the first place. read more

Draft Day is a little nook with an entrance off the casino floor to the right of the main entrance. For those of you who are familiar, it was added as part of the recent renovations in place of what used to be part of the poker room. It houses two TopGolf simulators and several other casino and billiard games in addition to its own bar and kitchen. In case you didn't know (like me), TopGolf isn't just golf games. There are several golf options suitable for golfers and non golfers of all backgrounds, but there are other options available including baseball throwing and even hockey! The menu is upscale ballpark or street food with a twist with a big focus on shareables - an "American tapas" style, I believe is the term the chef used. Crowd favorite with our group seemed to be the pretzels, but we also really enjoyed the Killer Tiger Fries. They offer local craft beers, if that's your thing. My boyfriend highly recommends the Exile Beatnik Sour. Not many places seem to carry it and it's one of the few he indulges in occasionally. Stop in for a break from the casino floor or also good for small or medium groups to golf (or pretend you know how) and enjoy some snacks and drinks. read more

I dig Draft Day. An adult oasis resides just off the casino floor. (Since it is off the floor, it is a 21+ crowd. NO KIDDOS ALLOWED. And that's ok.) Step inside and you'll see retro arcade games galore! And a few TVs to catch the game. A cool lounge, for sure. I've inhaled their sliders, unique hot dogs, wings but my favorite is The Draft, which is a sampler of some star dishes. And I have to note, every server I have come across has been prompt, professional and personable. A stellar experience more times than not, which isn't always the case at casinos. My last visit, their cocktails really stood out to me. The jalapeño margarita is bomb dot com, ya'll. Plus, the fact they serve a plethora of local craft beers is very much appreciated. While I am not a golfer myself, I think it's rad that Topgolf Swing Suite simulators live here. I mean... we live in Iowa. Hitting the links isn't really possible in the frigid (and snowy) winter. Additionally, it is smoke free. Which I, as a nonsmoker, appreciate SO SO much. And YOU GUYS, this will be the hub for upcoming sports betting that was recently legalized in the state of Iowa. Riverside Casino and Resort has added this great new venue to appeal to those of us who don't want to sit at a slot machine. Draft Day is a great intimate venue for a group of friends to hang out for a casual evening. Their tapas type menu has something for everyone and is well priced. The bartender really impressed me. I described the type of cocktail I like and asked for a suggestion from their menu. He prepared a wonderful Cucumber/Strawberry cocktail. It was refreshing and a nice treat for my taste buds. We enjoyed the pinball machines, the Top Golf, and the great little conversation areas. The best part was that the area was not a blanket of smoke. They have a circulation system in the floor that filters out the smoke from the casino and there is no smoking in this venue. Do yourself a favor and grab a group of friends for a fun interactive evening of food, cocktails, and games. read more

What a cool new place!! Riverside successfully brought a big city vibe to our local community. The Top Golf simulators are a nice addition to the casino - and something this area has totally been missing! The tapas style menu is very on trend and everything I've had from the menu is delicious, including the drinks! Ask the bartenders for drink recommendations - they've got some fun ones!! Overall a fun new vibe (arcade style vs just casino) and great for the younger (30 somethings) crowd. Great for a night out with friends or a large group outing. Riverside is really becoming a total resort and encompassing more variety, and they're doing it well! Bonus: new vent circulation system that runs every 30 minutes so this area of the casino doesn't smell smoky!! Total plus in my book. read more

Ok we stopped here for a night after 10 hours if driving. Walked into the sports bar which was so loud it was obnoxious ! We have been to many sports bars but they were never this loud. Ordered our food after waiting 10 minutes to be acknowledged. I received my food and the waitress had no idea what my husband ordered ( even though she took his order ). He got his food long after i got mine . We have patience for poor service but acknowledging us instead of ignoring us is my suggestion. read more

Love this place! The atmosphere, food and beverage choices are great. My wife & I stopped in before the Rodney Carrington show to grab some food and a few drinks. They were busy and we were lucky to grab a table within a few minutes of arriving. Our waitress was very attentive and quick with ordering and getting our check to us, so we could get to the show on time. Much appreciated, especially with them being extremely busy that night. My wife got the Thai Shrimp Salad and I ordered the Book Burger. Both were delicious! We will definitely be back with friends to rent the TopGolf bays for a fun night out! First I really like the atmosphere. From there everything went down hill. Had to ask twice and wait 20 minutes for a side of ranch. Came to watch the games and before our food was out they had brought our bill. Then they did not take off the happy hour price for the beers. Once that was straight they charged my friend for the wrong bill. Great atmosphere horrible customer service. Two stars because of service. read more
