Lo mein was good but all 3 meals with sesame chicken was so dry and hard you could not even bite into it. If we had know this we would never have went there. We ordered from Dragon City in Fulton. Her fave spot. We ordered a myriad of dishes that were all tasty indeed. Shrimp and vegetables, beef low main, steamed dumplings, crab rangoons, chicken in garlic sauce, veggies in garlic sauce, broccoli in garlic sauce, wonton soups, sesame chicken on low main, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken and snow peas. A giant order for only $92. Lots of food with lots of leftovers. Not going to go into any details. No need to. It was a good representation of Chinese food. All made to order specs. I would assume this place does mainly take out. The restaurant itself is very small and busy, it does not seem like it was built to dine in. The food depends on your preference I guess but personally, I didn't really like it. The fried rice is good, the Rangoons are okay, the lo mein was average and the general tso was all spice and no flavor. Dragon City is hands-down, the best Chinese restaurant in Oswego County. Even people from Syracuse stop by. It's the attention to quality and the friendly staff that keep us coming back. Driving through Fulton New York I wanted to bring some takeout home for dinner and saw the great reviews of Dragon City Chinese Restaurant on yelp. Place was spic and span clean, and the woman who took my order could not have been more congenial. She was informative and welcoming. I had very high hopes for this meal, as it was my first visit to Dragon City. I placed two orders: one for $86.51 and a second order for $14.90. This was a treat for my family because spending 100 bucks on takeout is rare. When I got home and began unpacking the food, I was missing a chicken and broccoli. I called the restaurant and they asked if I could come back and I explained I live 45 minutes away and had just been passing through, so next time I'm in the area, I can pick up the chicken and broccoli I paid for- and "next time" will be never as I was so disappointed in the food. The spareribs although meaty, were super dry and had no flavor. The outside of Crab Rangoons were too thick with very little filling which seemed disproportionate to the size of the Rangoon. They were so thick to chew, it was like they wrapped two wontons around the filling instead of one. (My family loves crab Rangoon, so I purchased several orders) The sweet-and-sour combo with shrimp, pork and chicken was so over fried as was the shrimp Shrimp Toast, that they both dripped with oil when biting into them. The orange beef was tasty but chewy, and the egg rolls were also thick and seemed over-wrapped. Weirdly, for some unknown reason, there were five large containers of red, sweet and sour sauce in my order. From the size of the containers, it totals 48 ounces of red sweet-and-sour sauce. That's a quart plus a pint! I'm not sure what's up with that! Perhaps it was an off day or something for the kitchen, but it stings in this economy to spend $101 for Chinese food that was unfortunately unpalatable. My new plan and my suggestion to anyone who tries a new restaurant for the first time- order something small to sample the food before you spend $100. Suffice it to say, the majority of our meal was uneaten and discarded because it wasn't worth taking up room in my fridge and holding onto leftovers nobody is going to eat. read more

We've enjoyed ordering takeout here for years, and have found that Dragon City offers by far, the best Chinese fare in the Oswego/Fulton area. Some of our favorites that we have repeatedly ordered, include: hot and sour soup, sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, kung pao chicken, spring and egg rolls, and beef lo mein. Nothing we ordered was good except for the crab rangoon. The fried rice and the lo mein were the worst I've ever had anywhere in the country. Forget New York or New Jersey or Pennsylvania. I've had better Chinese food in Alaska and Arizona. Everything was just wrong. And I KNOW it is NOT more authentic or anything, the fried rice isn't even fried. read more

I ordered the Shrimp with Mixed vegetables.. the shrimp pieces were nice and big...nicely cooked...the broccoli tasted odd, so I discarded all of them, but the other vegetables tasted good. Staff is very friendly and order times are that or less. Orders are always correct and cooked fresh with great portions. Order here quite a bit and when the food is good, it's good! But when the food is bad, it's really bad! So it's a gamble with 50/50 odds. Just ordered tonight tho and noticed and whole new trick, and don't get me wrong I know times are alittle tough and prices are going up but they aren't that tough. So tonight I order two of their combination platters that looked amazing and full. Kind of like I was getting my moneys worth. Well little known to me that when I got home and opened the containers I realized that the "new trick" that they are doing is to make the container look like you have gotten quite a bit of the main dish and quite a bit of the side dish, but in all reality you only got a very, very small amount of the main dish... it's just sitting on a inch and a half of the side dish to make it look full and to the top! Like really guys? I just spend 10.00 for five pieces of sesame chicken and two pound of fry pork fried rice! Like I said times are getting "alittle" tough! I've tried multiple times to like this place. Food is bland, no matter how much you emphasize you want it extra spicy, they have no heat at all. Tried a noodle dish that was supposed to be spicy, I even asked for it to be extra extra spicy. No heat, they simply added hot sauce to the bag. It was supposed to have pork, chicken and shrimp. Seemed bland. Sweet and sour was over cooked. Chicken lo Mein was bland. My kids who normally eat it from other places we've been too wouldn't eat it from here. We love this place! We compare any other Chinese food in the Syracuse region with Dragon City- it is our standard. Ling Ling in N Syracuse and Empire on Erie are good, but we prefer Dragon City . It is always a special treat for our teenagers and little ones when we bring home their takeout. No complaints ever at our house about their food. It is worlds beyond the Chinese food at Great Northern or Destiny malls in flavor and price. My wife has eaten here since she was a little girl growing up down the road in Phoenix, NY. I was in the mood for some Chinese food so I drove an hour to this restaurant because of all the 5 star reviews here on Yelp. What a tragic mistake............. PROS: The service was incredibly fast. My entire order was done and packaged in less than 5 minutes. I really thought I was in for a treat. CONS: The food was terrible and worse than that I was ripped off by this business. I splurged and ordered "scallops and beef". When I got home and opened it and carefully went through the contents, there was ONE small scallop which had been cut in half unevenly. That was it for the "scallops". The beef was shaved paper thin and cooked clumped together. No attempt was made to stir the beef in with the vegetables so there were just 4 small clumps of shaved beef. What this dish actually consisted of was green peppers, onions, water chestnuts and carrots. There was about one ounce of beef. I also ordered friend wontons. They were old and refried, rubbery and just awful. They immediately went into the trash. I don't know who is writing all of these 5 star reviews but I no longer believe in Yelp\s ability to control fake reviews. This was THE SINGLE worst Chinese restaurant I have ever dealt with. Stay away unless you enjoy being lied to and ripped off. read more
