Sweet and sour chicken, pork, and shrimp

Driving through Fulton New York I wanted to bring some takeout home for dinner and saw the great reviews of Dragon City Chinese Restaurant on yelp. Place was spic and span clean, and the woman who took my order could not have been more congenial. She was informative and welcoming. I had very high hopes for this meal, as it was my first visit to Dragon City. I placed two orders: one for $86.51 and a second order for $14.90. This was a treat for my family because spending 100 bucks on takeout is rare. When I got home and began unpacking the food, I was missing a chicken and broccoli. I called the restaurant and they asked if I could come back and I explained I live 45 minutes away and had just been passing through, so next time I'm in the area, I can pick up the chicken and broccoli I paid for- and "next time" will be never as I was so disappointed in the food. The spareribs although meaty, were super dry and had no flavor. The outside of Crab Rangoons were too thick with very little filling which seemed disproportionate to the size of the Rangoon. They were so thick to chew, it was like they wrapped two wontons around the filling instead of one. (My family loves crab Rangoon, so I purchased several orders) The sweet-and-sour combo with shrimp, pork and chicken was so over fried as was the shrimp Shrimp Toast, that they both dripped with oil when biting into them. The orange beef was tasty but chewy, and the egg rolls were also thick and seemed over-wrapped. Weirdly, for some unknown reason, there were five large containers of red, sweet and sour sauce in my order. From the size of the containers, it totals 48 ounces of red sweet-and-sour sauce. That's a quart plus a pint! I'm not sure what's up with that! Perhaps it was an off day or something for the kitchen, but it stings in this economy to spend $101 for Chinese food that was unfortunately unpalatable. My new plan and my suggestion to anyone who tries a new restaurant for the first time- order something small to sample the food before you spend $100. Suffice it to say, the majority of our meal was uneaten and discarded because it wasn't worth taking up room in my fridge and holding onto leftovers nobody is going to eat.

Szechuan chicken and the rice is NOT fried

Nothing we ordered was good except for the crab rangoon. The fried rice and the lo mein were the worst I've ever had anywhere in the country. Forget New York or New Jersey or Pennsylvania. I've had better Chinese food in Alaska and Arizona. Everything was just wrong. And I KNOW it is NOT more authentic or anything, the fried rice isn't even fried.

This staple was in my pork lo mien. Will not be going to this restaurant again. It is probably a mystery as to what else is in the "food".

Good food, fair prices, shout out the General Tso's. Customer service is good, and it's chill to eat in or take out.

Good food and fast service. Surprised they don't have delivery (at least not when we called) but overall very happy with the food.

Phenomenal food!…read more We're in Syracuse for a conference, and didn't want to spend a fortune for mediocre food at the conference hotel, so we set out to find a good local spot via Yelp. Su Su Dim Sum came up at the top of the list, so off we went. I ordered a small (pint) of hot and sour soup and lamb with scallions. My wife ordered tangerine beef, and then we ordered red bean paste steamed buns to go for breakfast tomorrow. The soup was thick, full of chunks of tofu, plenty of vegetables, a little less peppery and a little less pungent than we like, but still better than typical Chinese restaurant fare. A bowlful of fried noodles came on the side. A great start! My wife, a veterinarian, suspected that the lamb was actually beef, but that question aside, the lamb dish was delicious, with plenty of meat, chunks of bell pepper, and abundant scallions, in a delicious sauce. The star of the night was the tangerine beef, lightly breaded and perfectly fried, in a savory and slightly sour sauce. A few broccoli florets, a handful of tangerine segments, and a wonderful thick sauce completed the dish perfectly. We packed up the leftovers, collected the steamed buns, and headed back to the hotel. We grabbed some menus to give to fellow conference attendees when they ask where we went out to dinner.

We love dim sum so we looked up the local places that served it & found Su Su. The space is simple & I believe it may have once been a diner at one point in time. The staff tried their best as there were a fair amount of to-go orders & walk-ins. (As I said it was Valentine's Day) We decided to order a few different things. Each one was excellent. The flavors & temperature of each item were fantastic. I really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice. We'll certainly be going back to try a few more things!

They have a lunch menu so we both choose garlic chicken with an egg roll. The women behind the counter was very sweet and accommodating. The egg roll was good with a crunchy shell and cabbage inside. The garlic chicken had a garlic sauce I've never had before (reminded me of sweet and sour) but it was good. Very generous portion of chicken. I was very happy with the vegetables which were mushrooms, onion, carrots & broccoli.. The price was very reasonable! I will definitely go back to try other items.

They had quite a few takeout orders while I was there. I decided to eat part of my food their while it was hot. The lady taking my order was very friendly. My food didn't take long and she brought it over on a tray. It's just a small dine in area but it was very clean. All the tables are by the front windows so it was very nice there. The wonton soup had good, light flavor, there were 5 wontons, they were a little small but I loved that the wrapper wasn't really thick and doughy like most places. My shrimp and mushrooms in brown sauce was hot and delicious. The shrimp were very good size and nicely cooked. It was a small order and it came with a perfect small size of rice. I'll definitely have enough for another meal.
