Basic diner vibe. Hard working waitress. Good diner food. Mimi's has been in business for years. They obviously are doing things right.

Another stop on a whim because it's always full so it must be good logic..... Tried the hot beef and boy it didn't disappoint Generous with beef and gravy with a nice smooth rich gravy.

You cannot beat that price. My dad and I came here for dinner. He had the spaghetti and meatballs and I had the chicken special, a breaded chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Each came with a salad and bread. Our dinner came to less than $12 for the two of us WITH tip. Wow. I would like to come back and have breakfast, as I have heard they're amazing. I know they're packed daily for it. As for our dinners, my chicken was very tender and juicy, although it lacked a little seasoning. The mashed potatoes were potentially made from instant. My salad was great. For $3.99 for my dinner, would I really complain? I don't think so. My dad had a steak dinner here the week before and said it was fantastic, so perhaps it was just an off night. Service was excellent and the owner is very nice and friendly. All-in-all, I say give them a chance, especially for breakfast. They're just starting up and obtaining a liquor license. They have a huge bar area that will at some point make it a great place to get a drink and watch a game. It's located right across from Battle Island Golf Course as well. I'll update my post once I've had a chance to eat her again, as I have a feeling I'll be back when next visiting my family.

Seemingly in the middle of rural upstate NY is this gem of a restaurant. The server and everyone on the staff that interacted with us were simply lovely! Kind, helpful and joyful. I ordered a turkey melt with onion rings, and my friend had a burger with fried which she claimed was one of the best she had eaten in a long time. Accompanied by "sassy sauce" our fries and onion rings were dipped in this delightful yet spicy accoutrement! My turkey melt was delicious- carved turkey- not slimy cold cuts, cheese and banana peppers were a perfect and delectable combination on lightly toasted bread- simply marvelous! For desert- and they are all lovingly homemade, I had a mixed berry pie with ice cream and my friend had a slice of Dutch apple pie! Both equally and fabulously delicious! We left stuffed to the gills and so glad that we turned the truck around to try this hidden gem! Don't pass it up- stop by- it's worth it!

The "hash" was 30% onions and smothered in cooking oil. Toast was good though. The place wasn't busy and it took 40 minutes to get food, and order was incomplete. So we checked out of a hotel down the road, and instead of enjoying their free breakfast of cereal…read moreand maybe a waffle, my wife suggested Wade's. She had been here before, so I'm thinking sure why not. We walked in and sat right up at the counter and the gentleman that was working the grill was super friendly. He's basically cooking for the whole restaurant with another guy next to him and yet still found the time to welcome us in and take our order. I got the southwestern omelette that is made with homemade chorizo hash and he asked if I would like some jalapeno chopped up in there to which I said sure why not. Comes with a side of toast and potatoes... My wife gets eggs benedict, and they have a menu item called the Benny extreme which is the same basically but it comes with tomato and spinach, so she opted for this. She also ordered a cinnamon swirl pancake. I'm thinking hey that sounds pretty good, so I asked if I could also have a cinnamon swirl pancake. The gentleman taking our order just kind of looked at me and said are you sure? So now I'm thinking to myself yes yes of course I'm sure I've had pancakes before, some places I go to I get a whole stack of them, I'm thinking I can handle one and I'll use it as like a dessert item. He says okay, smiles, and they prepare our food. Everything tasted wonderful. The hash was excellent, at least I think it was I mean I've never had it before but no complaints. The only surprise I had was the pancake. It was on its own dinner plate. This thing was freaking huge. We could have easily shared one and maybe had leftovers as we also both ordered breakfast in addition to these two monster pancakes. Now please understand I was in no way upset. While it is true my wife could have warned me about the size, and he could have said something as well, it was okay. I still finished everything and most of my pancake. Over all the service was great, like I said this guy was cooking for the whole restaurant and he's still found the time to check on us and made sure our coffee was full. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area however it might be a little while because I live a couple hours away. The only thing I wish I had done that I forgot, when you order toast with your breakfast, the bread is homemade and they sell it by the loaf. White, wheat, rye, they have all of it. I meant to buy a loaf and I forgot. I look at it now though it's just an excuse to go back, and of course to grab another one of those pancakes... The only other thing that I could mention is that the place is a little smaller than I had expected. Everything was nice and clean so that's a bonus however for the business they're doing, and the number of people waiting to get a table, they could use a larger dining room.

When my partner and I walked in, we were greeted by a man at the counter and mentioned it was our first time visiting. His response was about as uninterested as it gets. Instead of offering a menu or any guidance, he simply pointed off to the side and told us to order when we were ready. Not exactly a welcoming first impression. The space itself was small, with a few tables, drink coolers, baked goods, and smoothie options. After placing our order, we waited...and waited. After exactly 40 minutes, I finally asked about the status, especially after watching another couple come in after us, order, and leave with their food before we received ours. I understand that takeout and delivery orders are part of the business, but in-house customers should not be completely overlooked. There was no communication, no sense of urgency, and no effort to acknowledge the delay. It genuinely felt like we didn't matter as customers. And for what? Two sandwiches--a roast beef and a turkey. Having worked in restaurants myself, I can confidently say that should not take 40 minutes under normal circumstances. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. We will not be returning. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.
