The density of the noodles fills you up so fast, and they aren't overly cloying or 'umay'-inducing when it comes to flavor. The dumplings also taste like they are made fresh on the spot, because the wrapper is so thick; it definitely doesn't taste like pre-packaged dumpling wrappers were used, and this is a plus. I also love how Kanzhu's price points aren't excessive, because I believe that there should be more places that give you ACTUAL bang for your buck. The Hofan is very flavorful and it comes in different versions (chopsuey, beef, sate beef and sate). If you're more of a rice person, try the best-selling Sweet & Sour Pork. These little morsels of battered and deep-fried pork are coated in their special sweet and sour sauce which has just the right balance of the contradicting flavors. It has pieces of pineapple, bell peppers, onions and carrots too that give it varying texture and really just a great meal.

I think that it's because the foods they serve really take long to prepare. I find the food a reminiscent of a typical Chinese food but I think they could've been more playful with the flavour.
