Ice rink. basketball, pickleball, tennis courts, swimming pool...etc.) Came here for a dinner to celebrate the marriage of a newly wedded couple. We were on the 3rd floor at the Quichena Terrace. There were about 10 tables in the room. So, not a tiny intimate wedding celebration but not a super large one either compared to pretty much most other weddings I've been to in my life which probably had 2 - 3 times as many tables in the room. There was a 6pm reception and then dinner at 7pm. At the reception, servers were walking around handing out hors d'oeuvres to the guests. Service was kinda "meh." We were standing around in a corner and saw one of the servers walk up to some other people and serve them some hors d'oeuvres, inches away from us but then they turned and walked off in another direction without actually approaching our own group to offer us some hors d'oeuvres. That was kinda weird. I ended up wandering off into the dining room and grabbing an hors d'oeuvres for myself when I saw another server with a different tray of hors d'oeuvres on it. Other than the one server who spun on their heels without offering anything to us, service from everyone else was pretty decent. I think there were about 4 different hors d'oeuvres. Two of them had meat in them so I couldn't eat those. The other two had seafood in them, which I still eat being pescatarian so I was able to enjoy those. One was a prawn tempura and the other was a crab cake. Loved the crab cake! The bar had 4 different Mocktails available. My daughter and I both ordered something called a Stingray which consisted of pineapple juice, orange juice and soda. It wasn't bad but we both decided that we prefer the taste of a Shirley Temple over a Stingray. Dinner was buffet style. Lots of different options for various dietary restrictions. The food was very good. Especially the Sablefish. Oh wow...soooo tender. I couldn't resist going back for seconds! I try to eat seafood sparingly and veer more towards Vegetarian/ Vegan most of the time but this was one of those times when being Pescatarian is really a lot more fun than being Vegetarian! Hadn't had Sablefish in a long time and this was sooooo good! Not a member here so can't really comment on the facilities but was suitably impressed with the food!

I decided to join a women's boxing class with a friend, and not knowing what to expect, I went in with an open mind. There were about 20 people in the class with two passionate instructors. I loved that they paid great attention to the newcomers and taught us how to wrap out wrists and hands properly, as well as putting aside time to teach us the positions and sequences. During the class, the instructors went around everyone and made sure they were doing the moves correctly! As another review has pointed out, I felt like it was truly an inclusive group regardless of skill and fitness level. We were all pushed to our limits and left the studio feeling great. I love supporting small gyms so I am looking forward to getting another body sculpting workout in a non judgmental environment.

The cardio room is packed with treds, bikes, seated belt rower, elliptical machine and I think a stair climber. The weight room could use a few more key benches and one or two more machines. I mainly go around 7:30am-8am. There tends to be the same group of people everyday getting in a game of squash, badminton or fitness before work. It's never been packed and I've not had to wait for any machine or weights yet. I plan on speaking with them about putting in some new benches/machines, I'll have to write a follow up review to that conversation and outcome. I signed up for a year and don't see why I wouldn't sign up for another.

I have always brought my wheelchair to the games and this is the first time I decided to try the accessible entrance & wow I am sadly disappointed. On the way in we had no issues/staff was kind. Than after the game was finished, we waited in our seats till the arena was 80% empty, to than go to the same elevator, the elevator was full every time it opened with able bodied people going up and down. We decided we couldn't keep waiting for a clear elevator so we hopped on (a pretty full elevator) to go from level 3 to 4, & a father decided to shove all of his children in "Theres enough space" he says when there clearly was not. I was getting squished in my wheelchair (to the point where I had to request my bf to give me more space cause I was so uncomfortable) and there was a disabled older lady in front of me with a cane, she was also getting squishes up against the wall and looked/sounded like she was in a lot of pain (she also complained to me about able kids trying to use it on the way in). I wish I took a photo but I wasn't able to since I was so frustrated and trying to keep my distance from this lady in front of me. I couldn't help myself but to say loudly to everyone in there "Oh are the ramps broken?! Just so you all know this elevator is for disabled people and this lady is getting squished she looks extremely uncomfortable!" & Nobody said anything, So I repeated myself but louder and angrier looking right at the idiot father. Than as I am getting off the elevator I say to your staff (Older, extra large woman with grey hair) "This is for disabled people" & She had the audacity to laugh and say "bring a book next time" I am beyond furious I didn't get her name, but she should not be working for BC place at the accessible entrance with this attitude. If I see her again I will give her a piece of my mind as she did hers. Also please stop playing disturbing music at the beginning of your games. This is meant to be a family friendly venue not a nightclub that needs to beep out every second word of a song (thats how you can tell its not for children FYI)

They are made on-site as far as I know. - Full bar with domestic and import beers, spirits including scotches and 6 beers on tap. Cons - A little bit stuffy in some way with metal plaques on the walls from old events, this place really has 125 years of history - A private member's club, so you won't be able to just walk into the venue to enjoy the view - There is one pulldown screen on stage and the projector was decent but could be a bit better - Audio was also not as loud as it needed to be and it was already on max - They had wired mics, no wireless Damage -A few thousand dollars. Protip - No free parking that I know of, only hourly and daily rates.

Bar staff were full of laughs, good humour, and friendly. The venue is wildly charming, the main hall has a wrap around licensed deck that looks over Coal Harbour providing stunning views day and night. Our guests from the prairie provinces were in awe all night. Emelle's catering, exclusive caterer, provided food and service for the wedding and we couldn't have been happier. Food was 5 star, and service was friendly, efficient, and unobtrusive. Venue and alcohol service costs are very affordable, especially in comparison to other local venues. I love the fact that this is a ladies-only facility. I tried Gold's Gym and felt very out of place there. This is a warm and non-threatening environment and the front desk ladies are always awesome and helpful. The only thing of note is that the music/microphone volume in the classes is unnecessarily loud but the last couple of times I've been there it seemed quieter, so maybe they've recently addressed this. Overall, great little facility in a convenient location. I hope it's there for some time to come.

You can not even see your bill receipts. you have to send a request and wait for ever and they may get back to you or may not. To be able to see your bill you have to provide a membership number which is in an agreement which was once mailed to you. There is no other way to get that agreement. You cannot easily freeze your payment and you have to you HAVE TO go to a club physically to cancel your registration. They technically steal from your pocket and in this busy life where every thing is online you can hardly do any thing to stop them.

Prior to sign up the crossfit, my friends worn me about how crossfit work out would break down my body(causing injuries), and this was true if you workout like "no brainer" or "inappropriate way" you would high risk for injury. However, the Crossfit 604 gym have totally changed my idea of the crossfit. During the class, two coaches constantly look for your forms and they approach you right away to correct your bad form to prevent potential injury and maximize the result. It's been for 3 months with Crossfit604 and my physical strength and mental capability for getting our of stress are already beyond my expectation. Of course, there are a lot of rules to follow. I am not sure how often it changes but I don't care of it, because most rules are made based on common senses. We are from all around the world and share the different cultures together. However, we mostly share the similar common senses to each other. Let's take it positively about the rules. Having strict rules means your right as a gym member will not be offended by other members. This is not like your a casual local gym. We pay more membership fee to receive a better service and bring the better result. I have met several amazing people already, and they were willing to help me if I came to then asked for help(one point tips or lesson, but do not ask them a lot. Their time is important too).

What a great way to start our vacation with a WOD! As crazy as we were, we settled to do a workout the day before the SeaWheeze Lululemon half marathon. The coaches were aware & wanted us to go "light" for the day. Check-in: - 5 Canadian dollar drop in fee! That is surprisingly the best price I've ever dropped in a box for. - They have iPads to check you in, sign up with your name & info, enter in your credit card info, & you're in! - Gentleman up front took care of us since we came in a little late trying to find this place. Informed us where the bathrooms, place to put our belongings, & equipment. WOD: - We're coming from the US so anywhere other than the US counts in KILOS! lol. Had to calculate our pounds real quick. - Easy dubs, lunges, squats, & snatch strength. - They use a flatscreen TV to type out their WODs! how cool! Box: - CF604 is fully equipped with a huge rig in the middle. - Bathrooms have showers in them. - Very well organized & clean box. - Community looks big & they have a CrossFit games/regionals history! - Coaches are very well adaptive, encouraging, kindly introduced themselves, & kept a look out for our safety since we were doing cardio the following day. - They take good care of their equipment. One of their rules: *Do not drop the barbell with ANY black colored plates on them. The only time they may be dropped is when the colored plates are on!* Purchased a CF604 shirt for $10! That is another plus for their good prices! They automatically charged me through the card I entered in from checking in & I was out the door satisfied with a shirt & a good sweat session. We also wanted to grab breakfast nearby & they gave us recommendations between Chambar & another location. We were told where to be careful not to walk near downtown & go through their more "safe" streets. Thank you, the food was a good recovery after that WOD!
