I have participated in various obedience classes with my dog over the years, so my dog was somewhat trained. She's a 4-year-old, American Pit Bull Terrier, with no major behavior issues. Although, she did not like when other dogs barked at her (or me) and would react for short bursts until they passed us on our daily walks. What I really appreciate in addition to their expertise, clear direction and upfront approach is that they didn't sell me on what I didn't need. José made it clear very quickly that it would not be the best use of money to board and train my dog, Piper. Instead, he offered me a customized package that would maximize the training and my money. That's badass. I have gone to other evaluations where trainers were trying to scare me into pick the most expensive package by over inflating the concerns I had. I left those feeling overwhelmed both by the price and by the evaluation itself. That is NOT the experience I had with José and Monique and it made the decision to choose them so easy. The day of I called to verify some things and one of the ladies I talked too thought I was one of her employees instead. she immediately started talking so I didn't get a chance to correct her and I let her speak, I don't interrupt. she continues on to talk about ME and my situation TO ME. While doing so, she told me that were coming to get my animals today and that they were going to a foster, but not to tell me that when they came because they told me they had a family and they just want to get my animals from me, once they do that they were going to just block me. When I finally said, okay hey look you're talking to COLTEN. The guy that owns those dogs. She hung up. I called the owner or supervisor whatever she was, and explained what had happened. She tried to tell me that's not how they operate and yada yada but then I never heard anything back from them. I'm not sure why they have such good ratings. They might have some situations they help and good for them. But if you want to KNOW where your dog goes because you love and care, stay away. If you don't want to be lied to, and made believe your animals has a family already when they don't (which was the only reason I could go through with it). Don't go here.

Our dog, Charley, is somewhat challenging as he had a rough start to life, having been found roaming the Phoenix streets, gravely ill and depleted, with a homeless woman who tried her best to care for him. But after getting him healthy, we met with IAN, a senior official for Robs, who then assigned one of his best trainers, JOEL to work with Charley. We are so impressed after only two sessions. Two sessions! We had already tested the waters by used the boarding facility to great results so we were confident moving forward with training. When you know you can leave your baby for several overnight stays safely and happily (even luxuriously in the large, clean dog suites they provide) that peace of mind means everything. She spent 10 days at Rob's Dogs in the hybrid board/train program. Joel has been very helpful to help us understand her behaviors and how to manage them. She is much improved and getting better every day. We have several training sessions left that I look forward to helping her learn new skills. Rob's Dogs facility in North Scottsdale is very nice.
