After a rather unfortunate experience with a different groomer a little while back, I looked for a new groomer. I'm glad my dear Edith told me about Romp. While I haven't known them for years on end, I know that I can trust them because they always treat my precious little cavalier like I do. Although this place isn't exactly around the corner for me. It's a bit of a drive, a little out of the way, which is sometimes hard for me because I don't drive as much as I used to. Caring, attentive, and extremely precautious, they may require more preventative meds than other doggie day care facilities, but it is for the protection of your dog, as well as other k-9's. Romp is by far the best dog groomer I've found yet!! They took great care of outlets wheaten terrier Olive!!! She went in looking like a hood rat and left looking like a billion bucks!! Romp is THE spot for doggie daycare, training, and agility. Matthew, the owner, always treated my dogs like they were his own and was always so kind, responsive, and helpful. My two mini Australian shepherds lived for Wednesday agility classes - such a great way to practice training and let them get out tons of energy. And my husband and I loved going too- always fun to spend some time with Matthew and the others in class! I also always felt comfortable leaving my dogs for daycare. Love Romp! Matt, the owner and his crew are patient and communicative. Our dogs were at Belly Rubz in Scottsdale and suddenly they closed down. I took my 2 fur babies for a visit and they did great! One of my dogs normally goes BAZERK when I pick them up (thinking he had a horrible day) but he barely barked once at Romp! Romp is an exceptionally special place. It is so evident by the way my normally fearful little dog finally feels safe and loved when she is staying there. She has always trembled when we had to have her boarded for a vacation, but at Romp, when they take her into their arms, it's clear that she trusts them, and she can tell that they are genuine. Our dog is petrified to be around other dogs, and owner Matthew and everyone there are more than happy to give her individual private attention. They made her feel safe with her bed and other items from home all set up in her room, and they spent playtime with her letting her do her little tricks for her favorite treats. She clearly had fun at Romp and rested well, because she was her same happy self when we picked her up. (At previous places, she had lost weight, looked unrecognizable & had nightmares for several days.) I also love how Romp has a T.V. playing quietly at night to lull the dogs to sleep. I finally feel comfortable leaving my dog, Porsha, with the very experienced and caring people at Romp for boarding as well as grooming. And, you can see in the photo that Amanda does an amazing job of making Porsha look like a cuddly-clean & fluffy dog who actually loves to get her picture taken as soon as we get home. read more

I agree 100% with the other review that says this is the absolutely best place to your dog if you love your dog. We adore our Niko and he absolutely loves it here he's been going for over 3 years and they have the best daycare, boarding and Grooming. They go above and beyond for your pet and your dog gets to play all day before going into his private Suite in the evenings. He even gets another 9pm evening potty break. We live in Phoenix and drive over 17 miles to take our pet here that's how amazing it is. We've looked into other places that are closer and none of them compare with their cleanliness and love for animals. You will be hooked! read more

I've used almost all services at Romp (training, daycare, grooming, and boarding). The entire staff is incredibly helpful. I put my dog, Mason, in boarding for 2 weeks, and she was still healthy and happy when I came back. I trust the staff 100%, and I know she's getting amazing care and attention. She absolutely loves this place. When she goes for full days at daycare, she knows exactly where she's going. Being a puppy, she's obviously kind of rambunctious and the staff will put her in a calming area if she's being too much for the other dogs. They always let me know when this happens. Grooming is always awesome at this place as well. For training, Mason went for the 6 week puppy class, which is a good foundation class for new puppy owners. From what I remember, she was a handful (disrupting the class), but Matthew worked with her and offered private sessions apart from the class. He even brought a pig ear to distract her when the class was listening to instructions. When she was older, I had to put her in a training boot camp only because she needed impulse control training, which I was not equipped to handle on my own throughout the week (didn't have the time either). Otherwise, we would have continued with the next training class (I think it's beginner?) BUT I wouldn't hesitate to enroll a new puppy in his class again. Shout out to the staff. Romp is the best. My large dog is now 14.5 years old which literally makes her 100 years old. They take the best care of her. They are very thoughtful. They send regular picture updates and because they know I worry, they send a detailed note about how she is doing. She is always excited to go and the staff happy to see her! She was there last month for two weeks! I opted to send here there on a trip this last weekend rather than leave her with a family member. It is comforting too that her vet is next door and they have a great relationship with them so if something is wrong I know they will communicate. Look No Further! Romp truly cares about all of the dogs that enter the facility. In fact, it's hard to tell who loves who more, your dog or the staff to your dog. I currently have a 4-month old border collie who just absolutely loves and adores this place. Every time I bring him in (twice a week), he greets the staff like he hasn't seen them in over a decade from how much he misses them in the couple of days that he hasn't seen them. Did I mention this is my second dog that I have sent here?! My previous puppy loved and adored this place too. Trust this place, Matt and his team (especially Christine and Emma) constantly go above and beyond to make sure your dog has a perfect experience every time. I'll admit, I'm definitely a crazy over-protective dog mom. This is literally the only place I will ever trust to leave my pups at! I had a 15 year old dog who became very fearful of car rides in her old age but Matthew and his team here at Romp did such a great job at making her feel comfortable. Matthew and his team are awesome. We left our nervy 6 month old pup over the holiday weekend and he went from being shy, barking and nervous of other dogs to a big happy social flirt :-). Matthew went above and beyond with this care of both our pup and anxious 'mum' in providing daily updates and videos showing Sherlock at play with his tail wagging, getting involved, and lots of happy play in the stress free small dog play area.
