It wasn't a dead battery since the attendant at the station jumped my vehicle and all electronics were working fine and another warning light on the dashboard appeared every time I tried starting the vehicle, it just would not give it enough juice. We ended up calling AAA and we were first told that we should expect a call from a technician within 10 minutes. But we did not hear from that technician after waiting for 30 minutes. That was actually a blessing! We called AAA again, and a couple of minutes later, Corey Ray contacted us. He first asked us if we were OK and if we were in a safe location (almost unheard of in LA:-)). He immediately made us feel at ease and let us know he wasnt that far away. When he got to our location, he introduced himself that he was from Loughead Automative in Drain, Oregon. We were very impressed with how he conversed with us and assessed what service we needed or where we wanted our vehicle towed. He made suggestions since we were not familiar with the area. It turned out we did not need a tow after all since my vehicle finally started but Corey suggested I drive it around the block a couple of times and he would hang around just in case it conked out. Fortunately, my vehicle was fine. Corey then wished us good luck on the rest of our trip. Thanks Corey, for being a personable and respectable young man and inspiring my nephew to seriously hit the gym...lol. We got back to California safely but we will always remember that good people still exist and they are in Oregon :-)

I had to wait a little bit before getting in the yard, but they were pretty busy and the wait was well worth it. Rather than being given a map and and spending a good hour searching for the car I was looking for, they drove me to the exact location and pulled all of the parts I needed. The guy who was pulling them even told me showed me how to swap out future parts that I needed. They spent a long time searching for the exact size spare tire I needed and were even going to mount one on a spare rim If they couldn't find one. Just when I thought that It couldn't get any better, the guy at the front counter told me the price of everything including the spare tire and wheel: WAY cheaper than any other place I had been to. I in fact payed that price for a only a couple of parts that were smaller at other wrecking yards. Overall, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. And the prices are very inexpensive. I will be returning here whenever I am in need for any part.

The tire iron I had didn't fit my lug nuts so called them to see if they could help me. Was told they had one guy on and he couldn't come out because he was about to leave for another run. He hadn't left yet. I was across the street. It was maybe 3 min of work and they left me stranded there. After I hung up the guy was there for another 10 min before leaving. I got better help from strangers than them. It was 40 min before my husband was able to take off work to come help me.

I reminded DJ that I had been quoted $40 (the top of his range) on the phone. He wouldn't honor the price quoted. I told him I would take my business elsewhere and had it done at Les Schwab for $36. To clear up any misunderstanding I phoned back later and explained my reticence to pay 40% above his quoted price. DJ sarcastically apologized for "charging $5 over the quote". I reminded him that the quote was "$30 - $40". His response was "whatever!" and he reminded me that after he made the quote I had mentioned a higher bid I had gotten from a competitor. Then it clicked -- he had raised the price because he thought I was clueless and he could get it. It had nothing to do with their labor or costs but was purely opportunistic. A rip-off, in other words. Roseburg could use a good independent mechanic shop with high values. Unfortunately, HIS Automotive services is not that. Very disappointing. They know how to talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk.

He has asked for them back with text and calls MANY times over the course of the last couple weeks, and they do not even answer calls or reply to texts with anything other than false promises that he will return the call later. At this point my father has been forced to spend thousands of dollars on new drive lines, and lost over a month of income from doing business as a contractor. I want to warn anyone considering us this company, please find someone ethical. If Mike calls my father and makes restitution (return the drive lines, and pay for some of his loss of time) I will update this review. This should be criminal, but unfortunately it seems it is a civil matter. We are very reasonable people and my father was personally and financially hurt by this company. The stress from this situation has caused us all to lose sleep at night.
