I loved Dram Yard! This will definitely be one of my go to places for date nights or anything. I loved the vibe, the outdoor fire pit and bar, and of course the food! They have valet parking or you can find street parking. We came on a Saturday at 730 with 3 people. Our server was great and she explained many things on the menu. My dirty martini was great, and the Valkyrie and Moscow mile were hits, too. On to the food, I ordered the burrata and beef tartare. The beef tartare had a spicy kick to it. I enjoyed it very much. The greens with it were a little plain but I would order this dish every time I am there. The burrata was delicious but very hard to cut. Excellent flavor. My pics of these two entrees did not come out well. The pork belly was excellent. Just melts in your mouth. The market catch of the day was excellent. However, you will need someone to come over and prepare it for you. I can't wait to come back. read more

First, I'd love to emphasize that the food is from garden to table, just can't beat that! Secondly, ambience is romantic during the evening and during brunch, it is so well lit and maybe it's the placebo affect but I believe the oxygen in the air is better due to how many natural plants they have. Last but not least, if you get a chance to eat at dram yard, request to sit at Bri tables. Bri is by far the best server i've had in Wilmy. She's very tentative but not over bearing, she's very lovely, friendly and genuinely cares for her customers. I keep coming back and only sit at her section. read more

Wow ! First time here and we will be back ! I ended up taking my girlfriend here for a birthday celebration. Neither of us had ever been. It was a lovely evening and we reserved a spot outside. Such great atmosphere. Our server (Virginia, I think...) was top notch ! Sweet and very accommodating. I was torn between two items. One of which was the Shrimp and grits. Unbeknownst to us the Dram Yard Restaurant was closed for a few months so my husband and I were happy to find it opened last night. We had originally planned on only having a drink at the outside bar and then go off somewhere else for dinner. To our delight we found that Dram Yard had not only revamped their tedious former menu but they also had a new chef. What a difference that has made for this restaurant. The menu choices were so much more interesting, so much so we had a difficult time deciding what to order. We were not disappointed in our meal decisions . I had the Blue Crab Agnolotti in sweet potato sauce sprinkled with fresh herbs and a few slices of Thai chilies and my husband ordered the Chicken and Dumplings with ricotta gnudi, mushrooms, Swiss chard and lemon thyme brode. You'll see from the pictures that we devoured our meals and immediately said let's come back next week and try some other menu items. And if that weren't enough their cocktail menu was just as exciting and we've already decided to try some new cocktails on our next visit. The ambiance outside is a plus during good weather and they have tables for al Fresca dining. They are undergoing some renovations to the attached hotel and hopefully once that is completed it will be even more inviting. Praises to the new chef, bravo! We will be back. read more

Really gorgeous inside and service was good, my server was really nice, patient and helpful. I was unaware it was mainly a tapas place (a few main dish options) but I should have looked into it more. Me and a friend shared the chicken and dumplings and Brussels. Fairly small portions for 16-17$ and considering it was a shareable, and both were incredibly salty and we maybe had like 8 whole Brussels and the rest were just the outer shells which were basically inedible. Iv been here once before with a different menu and that food was much better. read more

The new menu by the new Chef, Joe Wolfson, is so amazing! We just went with another couple and ordered a ton of things that our waitress recommended. Everything we ate was unbelievable and very creative. My top favs were the brussel sprouts, uni carbonara, burnt rye agnolotti, and the smoked trout dip. We also had the butterscotch mouse/pudding for dessert and I felt like I could have had 5 to myself. The service was phenomenal. Dram Yard definitely offers an upscale dining experience in the quaint downtown area of Wilmington. After Yelping several restaurants in the area Dram Yard really caught my eye. I sat at the bar, which is right as you enter the space. I love the open kitchen concept where you can see your dishes being prepped. I also loved that I could see the seasonings were fresh and properly stored so I knew I was in for a treat. My bar mixologist was really sweet and friendly and made a really strong dinner suggestion. She talked me into trying the Half Chicken with Green Charmoula and Charred Shishitos. The chicken was so tender and juicy and with every bite you could taste the perfectly blended flavors of cilantro, garlic, red peppers, parsley, and other herbs that go into making the green charmoula sauce. I also loved the sweet and savory kick of the charred shishitos. Once those flavors are paired with the chicken it is a party in your mouth. With the wonderful food, service, and quaint outdoor seating area you cannot go wrong. I highly recommend Dram Yard for a date night or just a night on the town. read more

Environment: Not a very warm and happy environment. Only the male host/manager and the waitress with red hair seemed attentive . Our waitress wasn't interested in the food they served and wasn't attentive at all. The kitchen atmosphere seemed low key and detached. It felt like a unhealthy team environment. Food: The Bibb salad was great. The honeycomb was a great idea! I had the bass. The flavor was bland and the dressing didn't pair well. I still can't believe their side dish to that $40 meal was a bowl of white rice. Really no imagination to that dish overall... maybe try a red snapper with beans and rice or even a seared veggie?? My husband had the burger and he seemed to like the meat but the bun was bigger then the meat and it came with lettuce... nothing else. We both paid and left and no one said goodbye or thank you. This place needs some work internally and they need more talent with the food. read more

I've been here twice and really enjoyed the experience! First think you'll notice when you walk in is the decor.... banana leaf papered ceiling, tall windows, hanging decorative rope and lighting... absolutely srunning. The food is really good and portions are surprisingly large - the first time we were expecting small plates and ordered two appetizers (cauliflower and chickpea fries) and the bread and it was way too much food for two people! We didn't even have room for the entrees. Bread was very oily but tasty. This would be a great place for a double date or small group dinner to have enough eaters to try more things on the menu! The service is very professional and the cocktails are very well done. Sitting at the bar is a great option if there's a wait for a table. I would recommend getting a reservation if you can. This restaurant ask for a credit card to hold your reservation and would charge our credit card $10 per person for no show but on arrival had not properly prepared for us and did not have our table set for the number of guest in our party. The hostess tried to put our large group into a small booth. The hostess responds was we needed to cram into the small space. After moving our own tables together and having to search out extra plates on our own it was clear that the establishment is lacking the customer service experience that one would think the price demands. Front of house is not prepared with training for the level of service that the price demands. The cocktail selection was very nice and everyone enjoyed their choices. Our out of town were very pleased with the food selection and the quality. They rather enjoyed sharing the small plates and having a small meal to share. We ordered 8 sides and 3 proteins and the portions were incredibly small for the price. My suggestion is stop for a drink and a snack but don't go hungry... you will break the bank! read more

Dram Yard is offering a very limited drink and food menu due to Covid but still worth a try. I went based on Yelp reviews about the incredible food but learned that they only offer about 1/6 of their normal options right now (understandably). I can only comment on cocktails that were right on! I had a dirty martini and my partner ordered a ginger cocktail that was amazing. Service was good considering a reduced staff. The outdoor seating is well done and enjoyable. It does sit on a busy street so just something to be aware of. read more

We were excited to try a place we hadn't been but left a bit underwhelmed. It wasn't bad, in fact the food was good. Not great but good. My cocktail was ok. The decor is lovely as are the pottery dishware. It was only about half full when we visited but very loud. For a place with a more fine dining menu the noise is problematic. I had the pork oso bucco which was delicious but the curry it was served in was extremely hot. It was tempered with the papaya salad served alongside. My dining partner chose the chicken and dumplings which was delicious. Again nothing was bad, it's just that nothing was outstanding. I doubt we'd come back as there are many places we prefer over this. The staff was all friendly and attentive. read more

What a wonderful find in Wilmington. We dropped in to the Gazebo Bar for a cocktail and a place to relax. Not only is their garden just beautiful and shady, but the drinks were great and the small menu delicious. Do not miss the fried beets and the amazing onion rings! This is also a small hotel and I'd love to stay there sometime. All COVID-19 policies and procedures were in place, and the restaurant team was great.
