I've only been here a couple of times, but every time I'm in Wilmington it's a destination. Great business concept, although you need to have some discipline or you can unknowingly rack up a large tab, as well as get really inebriated. Basically they have 50? help yourself taps, which include wine, beer, and seltzers. You get a bracelet and "scan" it at the stations of your choice, which begins the pour process. The bracelet tracks the number of ounces and price per pour. I don't know the limit for beer, but you "time out" at around 3 glasses for wine. BUT you can one up or whatever they call it to keep drinking. Yay! They serve food as well, but I haven't tried anything. Cool building, laid back atmosphere. I recommend checking out the daily specials or happy hour to save some $$. read more

This bar is amazing! The staff is friendly and well educated on beverages. I ordered a vodka cranberry and OMG IT WAS THE BEST ONE I HAVE HAD SO FAR! The best part is you can't taste the alcohol so it gets you more buzzed! Love this place and I'll continue coming back. read more

One of the best dive bars in Wilmington! They recently just got a major upgrade with murals on their walls. This place is great for social gathering and to stop by and get a drink. They have themed nights every week with bingo on Thursdays and every once and awhile emo night. I know i love coming here for their "missles". Next time you are downtown i highly recommend this place! read more

We took shelter from the rain and stumbled into The Pour House in downtown Wilmington. Step on down to this no frills basement bar. Our bartender, Sammy, was very sweet and hooked this Basic B up with a frose, but this seems like a standard beer/mixed drink bar for sure. read more

This is one of those places that you take for granted and then miss desperately when you move away. It's a local Cheers, forreal. You can just show up and you've got friends there, provided you can hang with the local charm-- and trust me, it's charming. Pour was the first bar I ever stumbled into in Wilmington, and it's been a go-to ever since. I don't like reviewing my "hole in the wall" hangout spots, too often but this one deserves some immediate "press." The staff are great, super enthusiastic and have tons of patience. There are more regulars here than I've seen at any other bar in town. They really work hard to get involved in the community, support our troops and veterans, and welcome any soul of any kind that walks in their doors. It's the people that make this bar what it is, and what it is is your classic military, neighborhood dive bar. Pour House is located on the main street downtown, on the corner of Market and Front St. It's a basement pub with little seating and not the cleanest restrooms you'll ever experience. You come for the quality conversation and good drinks. They do watch parties, participate in downtown bar crawls, holiday parties, sex toy bingo, and much more. Check their social media for upcoming events! Drink wise, they have local beers on tap from Edward Teach, Wilmington Brewing Co, New Anthem and more. They have all your general bar drinks, whiskey coke, gin and tonic, bloody marys, etc. All the locals rave about their cold brew coffee shots! I haven't had those but I have had the Orange Creamsicle shots and they're out of this world good. Checkout the specials board, they know what they're doing and come up with cool new stuff often. Great service! We stopped in during the Bloody Mary bar crawl. They have charging cords at the bar and offered us water and tums in addition to our drinks. They also let us use a card even though we spent less than ten bucks which was the minimum. When you come here the first time, look for a stairway down from the street near the corner. We almost missed it. read more

First time going downtown to bar hop and this place wasn't what I expected it's a good starting point if you want to grab a drink and then move on. I liked the inside it was different. Those stairs though are a doozy so make sure you are drunk or tipsy cause it could be a bad night. The drinks are reasonable, it didn't take long to get the bartenders attention and if you want to watch sports it's a good spot too. read more

This a fun little stop in a downstairs basement (basically). It is a typical bar-y bar bar. Plenty of liquor, beer, and fun. It is a hole in the wall in a good way. It's a small area, but had plenty of seating around the bar and throughout. The service was ok, not anything crazy and over the top...but decent. I would stop back when visiting Wilmington. I would recommend to others for the classic "hole in the wall" experience and vibe. read more

Great Irish pub in the center of downtown Wilmington. Ilene is a little blonde bombshell and a killer bartender! Great service, great space! But watch your step as you come in the front door. I didn't realize from the bright sunshine into the dim pub there was another step down and nearly took out my teeth on the back of a barstool! Other than my usual clutzy danger, the place is great! read more

Don't come here for the food! Haha I'm sure it would be better if you could still pour your own and all...and they did have quite a great variety of beers...but they weren't anything to write home about. We ordered appetizers while waiting for friends, and when they got there we told them we needed to go somewhere else to eat....two out of three of the appetizers were inedible....spinach dip and the Mac and cheese. I don't frequent this bar often enough but I've been to plenty of Joe's pub crawl events. It's a military bar, the staff is always laid back and they host a lot of fun *adult* themed events because bars are for adults - that like to drink. If you want a chill, no nonsense place to imbibe - The Pour House is the place for you. Awesome basement dive bar. They have something going on every night: sex toy bingo Thursdays, hash run Tuesdays, football/food on Sundays, just to name a few. TRY A MISSLE ;) it is a MARSOC bar but everyone is welcome and made to feel at home. Lots of good looking people and tattoos, ha. Draft options, cheap PBR, and pick your poison for liquor-- whatever you need. Bartenders have been nothing but amazing, personable and hilarious; love them. "I'm not drunk, I'm from Wilmington" merch is there too; so many people ask me about my sweatshirt! read more

Better than watching reruns of Cheers. Seriously, it's an actual bar. Not a club, not a restaurant, not for families. They aren't trying to be anything besides a place where adults go to have someone pour their drink like a pro. Good spot to meet up, not too crowded, and I've never waited more than a minute for service. I get treated decent even if I just sit down and have a Coke. It says something when the staff at the tourist bars stop by after their shift, and fwiw I think the owner should run for being the mayor of front Street. read more

I stopped in here to grab a beer while my wife was shopping on a lazy Sunday. The bar tender was dropping f bombs in a conversation with a patron like he was practicing for a stint in the Navy while pouring my beer. He puts the beer in front of me and tells me there's a $10 minimum for credit card purchases as I slide him my card. He asks me if "I want a shot" to bring the bill up to $10? I reply no thanks. He saunters off. I'm half way through my beer and I ask for my card back, he reminds me of the $10 minimum, and I tell him that's not an issue, but it would be great to inform people of that before he pours a beer. He then points to a small sign on the wall stating the $10 minimum policy and says "Don't play with me". I told him I have no intention of "playing with him" and he takes my half full beer. I guess he was probably stoned or having a bout of roid rage, so I left after getting my card. There are too many friendly servers and establishments in downtown to have to deal with the likes of this place. read more

We came in several times last evening during Riverfest and tipped cash in their tip jar on the counter. The owner was a complete jerk and yelled at us in front of everyone saying we didn't tip. We will never go back there again, I hope they shut down. Worst bar in town. read more

A special thank you to Sarah, whose service was outstanding. She was cheerful, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which made for a peaceful and unhurried dining experience. For drinks, I ordered the Ghost Town, while my wife enjoyed the Venus Flytrap. Both were beautifully prepared and easy to see why they're among the restaurant's popular cocktails. The food was equally impressive. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara, and it was exceptional. We in no way felt like it was $90, the portions were not enough to sustain us and we felt incredibly cheated and somehow conned/robbed of over $200 for each of us couples out. Very disappointing!

Such a unique and different menu we started out with the Big Wes Lil' Weiners which was 4 smoked Jalapeno and cheddar sausages wrapped in an empanada crust served with an arugula chimmichuri dipping sauce. So innovative and delicious, sauce had a bite to it and the sausages were juicy and crispy with the empanada crust, highly recommend. I wanted to house made roast beef only available on the weekends but it was sold out, no surprise. Opted for the Ghostface Fillah instead. Shaved ribeye, arugula, horseradish on delicious sourdough bread. Perfect amount of ribeye and the all of the components worked perfectly. Saw quite a few people getting the burger as well, people rave about it. We also got an order of the garlic parm curly fries which couldn't have been much better, place just has such a fun menu putting their twist on American staples, perfect spot to grab a bite and watch a game. Our server had food recommendations, limited seating inside but just the right amount, worth any kind of wait you might encounter.

Note that the parking close by is expensive and they won't seat you if your whole party isn't there within 5 minutes of texting that your table is ready. So yep- plan to wait and sit around. Inside it's pub style, bar available and good music, but not much seating which explains the wait ;) We ordered the 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich, the Hot Roasted Pork Sandwich and the Reuben. Our waitress recommended not getting the onion rings app and to do it as sides to save money, and man, we had SO MANY leftovers. The pork sandwich is super good but so filling. I could only eat half with all the onion rings! The Reuben was absolutely delicious and I would 1000% get that again. The best thing on the menu in our opinion: the Cheese Steak Egg Rolls with chipotle mayo- OMG. We will DREAM about these!!! I haven't seen these talked about much- TRY THEM, they were literally mouth watering and I would have eaten them as an entree and not an app! Overall we would come back again, just be prepared to wait forever for a table and you won't be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I stumbled into this bar after a nice dinner on a Monday night! The bartender was absolutely amazing he had a (beard) and so accommodating! We learned what a Missel was(amazing)! The plan was for us to stay for one night but because we had such an amazing time here we decided to stay another night! This time we had another bartender (Blonde girl from Connecticut) I'm terrible with names, who was just as amazing! Even the door guy remembered us! You guys rock, and we will be making that a go to spot when we come to visit! P.S. no one would let me play Creed hahahahaha! Keep up the great work! Service was amazing! read more

There is a smaller bar area in the front, though it is not always opened. The larger bar is in the back. Back area has TVs and plenty of seating. Don't miss the outside seating with side views of the river, along with a nice view of some hotel blocking your view of the river. The margaritas are damn good. Highly recommend. Crowd is mixed, with a edge to more younger drinkers, especially weekend nights. In case your wondering, no food. Just booze.

It be one thing , if we were being obscene or disrespectful.but nope ...... and all the other folks hanging out at the end of the bar looked like they should of been cut of ! So I am left wondering how I am supposed to finish my drink and leave immediately without having a to-go cup. I ended up having to leave my drink there. I'm extremely disappointed I feel like this would be a great venue if it wasn't for the staff.
