Hotel is in a state of disrepair and is showing its age. It smells of musty humidity in the halls…read moreand rooms. The sauna was inoperable and padlocked shut. The hot tub has been filled in with concrete and is unusable. The pool was full of spiders. Overall dirty and unkept, including peeling paint, moisture damaged wood, and rust on many surfaces. Our room was ok except for the musky odor. Sheets were clean and continental breakfast was OK. Staff were helpful and polite.

Wish some of their top shelf liquor selections could be more comprehensive, but overall it's a great place to meet up with friends. The lunch menu has some nice selections, and the food was really good! I'd definitely recommend it!. Sandwiches, soup and incredible homemade kettle chips! We had no complaints and look forward to the next time we will be back in the area.

I went with my family for Easter lunch and was a little disappointed in the quality of the food this time. Everything is homemade from scratch though. They usually have this killer shredded roast beef that is mouth-watering and juicy but this time they only had ham, some weird chicken, and fried chicken wings for the meat options. I was disappointed. Now, their sides are a different story. They had delicious mac and cheese, an alfredo pasta, and green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, and mashed potatoes. Sweet potatoes=bomb.com. Green beans=delicious. They also randomly had spaghetti with marinara sauce. The spaghetti was dry and chewy but the sauce was fine. Nothing stellar about it though. For drinks, they offer lemonade, water, tea, and coffee. Keep in mind that the majority of the people that frequent this place on Sundays are older folks who like a good home cooked meal on the cheap. You really can't beat $13 for how much food you can get. And it's all home made. Their desserts were fine. They had a chocolate mousse thing, a strawberry banana thing, and something else that I can't remember. I don't care for nut crusts which was all these had but if you enjoy that type of thing, great. There really isn't any service except for plate-clearing. You pay at a table before you go in and sit down wherever unless you have a reservation, which we had. There are lots of older retired ladies that work there and they are just as sweet as can be. So if you're looking for a good homemade meal and you're in Delaware on a Sunday, you might want to try this place out.

I'm start to dig this design though: low key, low ceilings, low maintenance. but maybe add some low-fi wi-fi? even metered wi-fi if it's enough access for tourism and checking in on Yelp! I like the easy access parking and abundant room to roam. separate space for vendo-land is usually fine unless it isn't but there's no telling when or how until after it has ruined or saved the day. go figure

The AC was a bit loud but kept the room very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was well stocked. Whole wheat toast and hard boiled eggs would be good additions.
