The hotel sits back from the road at the southwest corner of the U.S. 30 and Sandusky St. interchange. It is easily seen from the road but the access drive is further south and not well marked. Upon arrival on Sat., 02.25.17 I found the lobby to be clean and well-maintained. Coffee and cookies were available. I found the desk clerk to be pleasant and professional. When I made my reservation on-line, I had specifically requested a room away from the elevator. However, after checking in, I found my room was directly across from the 1st floor elevator. Upon request, the desk clerk changed my room without hesitation. I had a room with a king bed and I have posted a few photos. The room was very nice though there were two small oddities. The first was a large empty space between the nightstand and arm chair. This made the room appear under furnished. The second was the room's small refrigerator does not fit into the cabinet in which it's placed leaving the door slightly ajar. The breakfast buffet on Sunday was average as far as selection goes. However, both the sausage gravy and cinnamon rolls were very good. There was also a friendly and hardworking attendant present that kept the area well-supplied and clean. If you want an expanded menu, a Bob Evans is within walking distance. If you're looking to stay in Bucyrus, this is really your only option but at least it's a decent one.

Very little to no effort to do their job and that's where the landscaping people stepped in and did it for them. They shouldn't have had to do 2 jobs at once but unfortunately with this staff they had to. No appreciation for military members I guess..

We had a…read moregood lunch at the onsite restaurant before paying the fee ($20 pp, regardless of age) to ride the property. There were not many people there, but I don't think the defunct-ski-resort-turned-ATV-park had been open for very long. The lodge/Bar/Restaurant building was clean and air conditioned with decent restroom facilities. Sunday was the fourth time that I've ridden the Clear Fork Adventure Park in the past two years. Unfortunately, the park was in the worst shape ever. The restaurant is permanently closed. They used to mow all of the ski hills and the land surrounding the adult and kids' dirt tracks. The kids track was so overgrown, I had trouble finding it. Almost all of the grass on the property was 2-4 feet tall. I encountered many thorny vines growing across the poorly-marked trails (dark-red spray-painted dots on trees mean wrong-way; dark-green spray-painted dots mean right-way). I used to like to ride this place on the weekend for safety reasons (rather than face the high-traffic trails at Wayne on weekends). It was a nice place to take the kids, and it's only an hour away from home. Unfortunately, it is not going to survive by charging riders $20 per day and failing to perform minimal maintenance on the property. The hours of operation are pretty strange as well: Wed - Sun, noon - 7 PM. We were told the resort has been sold two or three times, and it is currently owned by an investment group in Utah that owns 27 other resorts (this is the only one that is an ATV park).

After…read moreturning off the main drag, there is a traffic light that marks the entrance to the parking lot, but it (the traffic light) has not been activated yet. There is not even a large sign that lets the public know that this hotel exists. I am quite impressed with this place. It is a three-story hotel with all the basic amenities of home; hence, the name..."My PlaceHotel". It has an adequate lobby that has sturdy seating (some sofas and low chairs as well as a couple of bistro sets) and a large tv. The check-in area reminded me more of a curved bar than a hotel desk reception area. Next to it is the convenience store/pantry, which offers a nice variety of items, from foods, pharmaceuticals, and even housewares. At check-in, I wondered why this store sold pots, pans and other kitchen items. My room amenities would later answer this question for me. Once we went into the room, we were greeted by a FULL-SIZE refrigerator & microwave, coffee maker, spacious cabinets and a small sink, complete with cloth towels, paper towels and liquid dish soap. All these things were in the kitchen area. WHAT?!?! For hanging clothes storage, there is a nice-sized closet that houses a full-size ironing board, iron, hangers and a large clothes basket. While the bathroom was not overly spacious, it had an adequate size and contained my personal favorite- Neutragena brand toiletries. The size of our room with 2 queen-size beds was a bit more spacious than the typical hotel room. There was actually ample space to walk between the end of the bed and the desk that is against the wall. In terms of space, It really seems like this room is wheelchair accessible even though it is on the 2nd floor. I hope the other rooms in the hotel have similar dimensions and spaciousness. For recreation, there is a covered picnic area with two charcoal grills, a few tables and numerous chairs. Since the hotel is pet-friendly, there are about four stations around the grounds that supply bags for you to clean up after your beloved pet. Let me repeat... I just cannot stress just how impressed I am with this property. It offers just about all the amenities of home including a friendly and helpful staff. I believe we have found the place that we will stay on our repeated trips to Marion.
