We worked with The Drapery House on a number of projects over the years and spent more than $30,000 on custom window treatments and design work. Their craftsmanship and design expertise have always been exceptional -- no question there. Earlier this year, while cleaning out my home office files, I came across documentation from a project dating back six years -- one that had never been fulfilled. To be completely transparent, I had forgotten about it until now. I reached out to request a $200 refund for the uncompleted work. Despite providing clear documentation and context, my request was handled dismissively. It's disappointing that after years of loyal business, The Drapery House refused to honor such a simple, good-faith request. It makes it clear they do not value long-term customers. It's also worth noting that The Drapery House is not BBB accredited, which may help explain the lack of accountability we experienced. It's a shame when a company known for quality undermines its reputation over something so small. Talked to Al over the phone and, similar to the other 1 star review, he made me feel like I couldn't afford them. Said it would be $2000 for custom drapes. This guy doesn't even know what I want and he's throwing numbers out. Wouldn't do business with, if this how you treat a potential customer, I don't want to know how you treat a real customer. read more

Terrible Experience Here is the story, I walk into this place looking for a curtain. There are no lights on and no one in the place. I stand around for about 5 minutes and a man comes out and makes me feel like a complete stranger. The guy is a total dick. I ask him for a curtain and he tells me in a weird tone that all of their curtains are tailor made. Implying that I couldn't afford them. He doesn't even offer me anything or any options. It maybe the worst shopping experience of my life. I can't believe I am saying this, but I hope this place closes. Awful Thanks read more

We just purchased new drapes and sheers for our dining room. Julie K was our consultant. The first fabric we chose was no longer available. Julie went out of her way finding new samples. She came to the house with several books and lo and behold she was able to find a sample that we fell in love with. She went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied. Her recommendations for trim and Sheers color complimented our fabric choice. The drapes were installed today by Al and his helper. They did a wonderful job. First of all try to find a custom draper nowadays ; good luck with that ! But not only did I find one but I found the best & nicest one in the Drapery House Inc. I found them right before they closed on a Saturday; how many businesses want a needy customer walking thru the door then ?!! They could not have been nicer ! I love these guys! We just renovated our house and didn't want to just put up curtains from Wal-Mart. We put so much work into what we were doing that we wanted the drapery to be the cherry on top, so we called Drapery house. Al came within the week that we called. I was very honest with him about my inability to pick out things that match the rest of the house, and gave him creative freedom. He assessed our house, asked a couple of questions and pulled out beautiful fabric that my husband and I loved immediately. It was muted enough in color to blend with our style, yet had designs on it to give it character. Once everything was in, Al and Jose came and put everything up in record timing The entire staff there at Drapery House was professional, very nice and a pleasure to work with. Regrettable experience trying to set up an appointment. I emailed a month ago regarding having custom shutters on my new place. Email with Julie and got the specifics . 10 windows . At the time I wasn't ready and moved in. Two weeks ago I called to make an appointment and the office staff wouldn't help me and told me I needed to email Julie again. I emailed again and finally received a call from Julie. Set up an appointment. Called yesterday because I couldn't recall the time. Called again today any office staff advised me I wasn't on the schedule. They said they would give a message to Julie and I mentioned that had a similar experience with another vendor. I advisei taped paper to the windows.and i was on my way to work.. And hope that julie could call me right away. Within 15 minutes I got a call with from an angry Julie. Asking me did I "want to keep the appointment or not." I asked why wouldn't I. And she accused me of telling her coworkers I was disgruntled?.. I'm not. And she didn't appreciate me "taking it out on them" I advised her I didn't want to do business with them. My friend in the car even said I would never speak to someone who is a potential customer that way. ... I don't recommend the drapery house if you have to work with Julie. read more

We just completed the final phase of replacing cellular shades on the first floor of our home, that had become dingy, dirty and outdated over 14 years. This was a big undertaking as our home is all windows. We spent hours going over options. Both Bob and Chris, brother-owners were very patient with us giving us the information we needed to make a wise decision. This is a family operation, with brother-owner Al in charge of the installs. The Drapery house does a lot of commercial work, but we were treated with the utmost respect that some businesses would only bestow on their best and largest customers. We have done the big box store routine, and it just does not pay. The Drapery prices are very competitive. Joe C had a complaint of having to wait a couple of minutes, we did to because these guys are hands on busy. We were not dressed in a way to make them think we are wealthy etc, but as said before we were given the proper attention. We will be back. This time to get a Ethan Allen chair reupholstered. read more

We have an odd size and shaped window and had been told by other professionals that there were no options to provide a shade. Al came up with a perfect solution that looks beautiful.
