My BF and I drove 1 hour from Manhattan to look at a car advertised for 60k, upon arriving the salesman Bryan tells us it's actually $75k. He literally told us we should have "read the fine print" on the listing, which details the extra fees. When my BF brought up his interest in an extended warranty for the car, Bryan then MADE A FAKE PHONE CALL (obviously thought we were idiots), and said "Mhmm yes, I have a buyer here, but they want a warrantee. We had a terrible experience here. They had no problem waisting our time, keeping us waiting way past our appointment time. We clarified price of car and "extra fees" on the phone ahead of time to make sure we didn't waste our time driving all the way out to long island. The car ended up being 15-20k higher than the listed price and that price kept going up for some unknown reason. The finance guy Rico, was incredibly disrespectful and we ended up walking out. If I could give them 0 stars I would. My son was paying cash for the listed car price. Since he was paying cash they added another $5,000 in dealer fees to the list price that does not include sales tax and registration of the vehicle. If you finance the car it is an additional $4,000 in dealer fees. I had asked them what the dealer fees were on the phone so my son would have the right amount of cash on him to purchase the car and they refused to tell us. Now I know why they want you to finance the car so they can add the 4K in hopes someone doesn't see it and get the 1k kick back from the finance company. I communicated through Facebook Marketplace with the people there and was on my way to see a vehicle. They told me they were closing soon and not to come by. So I made an appointment for the next day and told them which vehicle I was interested in and that if I like it I would purchase it. I kept getting nothing but generic responses that were automated from their social media sites. I finally called them and told them I was coming in and they said great speak with Alex or Billy and we will get the car ready. When I got there I half hour later they told me the car was sold. We were surprised by that revelation, but we were still ok.......THEN she dropped the bomb on us and started telling us the the "car is certified pre-owned, with a 1 year factory warranty, etc., etc.." , which all sounded GOOD to us, but......wait for it...................... and then she said "so the FULL price is $37,500". !! This was nearly $10,000 MORE than the advertised price. We were Disgusted that our time was wasted, because we went to the store with the full intention of purchasing the car, based on the advertised price. The salesgirl then had an instant personality change, and acted very snide, and started referencing the "fine print" that I am sure NO ONE reads initially, (See picture of FINE PRINT that I have attached, which at BEST, is highly ambiguous and wasn't even CLOSE to the $10,000 price increase we experienced) and we were disgusted with the deceptiveness of the price, along with their business practices, and we clearly and loudly communicated that to the salesperson and the rest of the shop, and promptly left. READ the "fine print" photo that we included in this review ! Note that it also says that if you want to "pay cash", there is a 20% INCREASE in the price of the car as a "dealer convenience adjustment" !!!! The "fine print" says that the additional "cost" that we were told by the salesgirl is ONLY if we WANT the car to be "certified", but we were NEVER given an Option to decline that "feature", it was a MANDATORY cost !! It also says that the "internet price" is "A "REFLECTIVE" (whatever that means..) after $1995 down" , and that the price is a "special promotion Price". Disgusting and totally deceptive and intentionally ambiguous !!! Do not EVER purchase a vehicle from them !! They are the epitome of a "used car salesman" caricature. If they can't be straight up with you from the inception about the PRICE of the vehicle, I am pretty certain that they will be deceptive about every other part of the vehicle (history, condition, mileage, warranty, etc). If they lie about one thing, you can be pretty sure that they lie about other things. We are in the process of reporting them to the Suffolk County Department of Consumer Affairs, as well as the Better Business Bureau. If after reading this ACCURATE and HONEST review from 2 highly educated people who have purchase more than 40 cars cumulatively during our lifetimes, and you still do decide to go there, we highly recommend that you save your daily shower for AFTER you visit them, because you will definitely need one. read more
