Dream Cloud is such a gem of a café not far from Duluth area. The traditional scone was fantastic, perfectly baked and balanced. The miel latte with local honey was delicious, and the vanilla latte with their homemade syrup was just as good. The space itself is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated, giving it a warm, welcoming vibe. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they serve. A spot that delivers both quality and atmosphere.

A delightful coffee shop nestled on the scenic portion of highway 61 on the North Shore. First off, the coffee is delicious. I still have a bag of the Luna Decaf and all I can say is... WOW! The flavor is smooth and balanced, which is exceptionally rare in a decaf coffee. The interior of the shop is cozy, with a farmhouse feel; lots of wooden furniture and more agates than you got time to look at. The exterior has some nice seating amongst a lush garden (in the summer). 10/10 will be stopping by here when we're on the North Shore again!

I suggest sitting outside and watch the wonders of creation come to you! This was magnificent. I'm from Michigan and would come back here just for the hand pies, cappuccino, cardamom icing rolls and Lattes...which are only enhanced by this beauty outside....wish I could give it more than 5 stars

Such a cool vibe in downtown Duluth! We were excited about trying Dream Cloud because they are the roasters for 190 degrees Coffee in Lincoln Park. The coffee was amazing and we loved the live music on a Saturday morning!

Ginger matcha (unfortunately ginger was stronger than any matcha flavor) and absolutely delicious cherry latte.

Cute interior and lovely outdoor seating options. Baristas were friendly. Fun seasonal flavors. I appreciated they included matcha !

Best Latte AND a work of art. Take time to enjoy your delicious cup at the location so that you can appreciate its beauty.

After seeing a piece on television about City Girl Coffee Company, she had my ear because I am a…read morediehard coffee drinker. But, I drink coffee like my adult drinks--what I like, I buy. Nothing to do with reputation, popularity or price, but strictly driven on taste and preference. Now, that I have my own job and my own check (20 years as a home maker), I have a little more disposable cash to endulge my personal hobbies. Coffee is one. So much so, I really considered opening a small independent coffee shop. Therefore, it goes without saying, I know about coffee--from soil to hot cup with cream. So when women entrepeneurs were showcased that morning, City Girl Coffee got my attention. Especially when she said beans are roasted and ground the same day. And she talked about the history of the parent company Alakef Coffee; a company started by her father because he wanted a good cup of coffee. Since I was running out of coffee and taking a trip to the Costco for my coffee takes planning and a 20 minute drive, I decided to give a go to Alakef. The worst that would happen is that the coffee was okay and I would freeze it as my emergency stash. The best, I would have a great cup of coffee. So I ordered a bag of French Roast (I like strong, dark coffee) and waited for its arrival. My coffee arrive the next week and I ordered ground because the convienence. When I sipped that first cup, I knew. Fresh roast, smooth taste, no bitter notes and great taste. Gentle but good coffee. Nothing harsh. My subscription for French Roast and Brazil ordered. My husband stopped drinking coffee about 3 years ago joined me in a cup--he takes his black. He vowed to get up in the morning and join me for coffee. Take aways: 1. If you like coffee and want the convience of home delivery give it a try. Subscription would cost you less than take out coffee anyday. 2. Smooth and not bitter coffee. The dark roast is not like Starbucks bold-gentle smooth taste without the harshness. 3. French Presh will yield the best flavor. Good luck and enjoy the coffee. To Alakef, thanks for making me happy in the morning. https://alakef.com/

I saw they have frozen pretzels- which is perfect because I didn't want to eat it right now. I got two of those to go. I also got a blueberry danish for my husband- he approved! And two loaves of bread- the cheese curd and the rosemary onion in the one pound option. (They have a two pound and it's huge!) We enjoyed the bread toasted with butter and for avocado toast during the week. They offered to slice the rosemary onion bread but not the cheese curd- there's something about the cheese curd that they said they don't slice it. I can't remember. But it's fine/ we sliced our own. The pecan rolls and the cinnamon rolls looked amazing but I'm more of a savory gal. The shop was super cute. They have a sourdough class coming up. They have coffees and couches. Bathrooms for customers. Some merchandise for sale. They even have a monthly club where you can pick up or have your items delivered to you! Wow! I wish I lived in the area just for this bakery. I enjoyed reading about the business on their website/ two brothers!

And for me, part of the experience is slowing down to enjoy the moment. No small part of that enjoyment comes from drinking my coffee in a proper vessel. It could be a ceramic coffee cup, or a bowl, or a heavy glass, or a demitasse cup on a saucer. Different shops can have their own style, but if you refuse to serve a well crafted drink in something other than paper, that's an issue for me. Especially when the proper cups are right there! I see them. And I get that washing dishes can be a pain in the neck, but coffee shops can charge what they charge for beans and water because they are providing an experience. Sorry. Thanks for hearing me out. Beyond that, this place is lovely. The people are friendly, which should not be a surprise in Minnesota. The cortado was good, but hard to fully appreciate or evaluate in its sad little paper cup. My family was happy with their drinks. And the outdoor space is simply magical. This is a tucked away little modern coffee oasis in a remote part of Minnesota and I'm very glad it exists and can provide me and others the energy boost needed after hours of nature walks in the area.
