Went to Two Harbors tonight for a basketball game and left Duluth early to grab a bite to eat beforehand. I've heard of this pizza place several times and have been meaning to give it a try. My dad and I walked in and we were greeted by a very pleasant and polite gal who made us feel right at home immediately. I didn't have my readers so I couldn't see the menu and just ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza. The place had a nice vibe and while she was making pizzas the gal was still interacting with us. The pizza came out of the oven and served in about 15 minutes. Piping hot and cooked just enough on the well done side to be perfect. The first bite burned my mouth, my fault for not waiting. Each bite after that was amazing. The pizza crust was thin, crunchy, but light and airy almost. I've not experienced that type of crust before. The sauce had a distinct flavor that was top notch and the sausage was flavorful but not overbearing. I looked at my dad and said this is probably the best pizza I've ever had. He said the same thing. Highly recommend this place if you're stopping in Two Harbors, passing through or just decide to drive up like we will be doing next week to try another. read more

I was optimistic to explore this small town pizza place for the first time! I placed an online order which was super seamless, they use the Square platform and took Apple Pay which I always appreciate. Unfortunately when I arrived there was no greeting from any of the numerous staff. The two front desk employees were very busy with their registers and the phone, and it was 5 minutes before I was able to speak to someone. The main lady was a bit short with me, (and I saw her be much shorter with other customers). They were really busy, so I can sympathize with the stress, but some more manners would have went a long way. Unfortunately my pickup time was 15 minutes later than the ETA I was given online. When it came to the pizza itself though, they really delivered! It's possibly the best BBQ Chicken pizza I've had, even though I was surprised by the inclusion of dill pickles. Just found one of my favorite pizzas I've ever had... this place was fire! I mean they home make their own dough, make their own sauce, and their own ranch. I'm only sad because I wish this place was close to where I live, but I'm absolutely going here every time I am up north! They work like a well oiled machine and crank out these incredible pizzas. I also loved how they folded the crust so that you still get some sauce inside. SO GOOD! Great service as well and super friendly. Cute diner! They had a really unique selection, as well, and if you want to try more than one you can do half and half even if they have different sauces!. And we even bought some cute things from the gift shop. I didn't take a picture of this pizza but the crust and sauce are 10/10 they sauce the pizza and ten fold over the crust so you get sauce in every bite of the crust which i loved. The sauce is flavorful and so is the crust and the toppings were good if not a little sparse. Their home made sausage I recommend. We got a sausage and banana pepper pizza and it was ready quickly and their large is actually large. We didn't go inside except to pick up the pizza so i can't comment on ambiance but the service and food was great. read more

After driving all day, we checked into the Airbnb and were just going to pick up pizza anywhere ... meaning , whatever ... just some pizza. Called and they had an hour plus wait.... Ordered anyway and went to Castle Danger's brewery for a pint or two. Val, sitting next to us on the patio, said they were having their pizza delivered. We were looking for some food on a mid-October Monday night and there wasn't much available in town besides Culver's and McDonalds. We looked up places as found Northshore Pizza. I will say when we drove by we weren't sure if they even had seating inside but we are glad we checked it out. The service is a little unconventional, you seat yourself, serve yourself with paper plates and they have a jug of water, but the pizza makes it all worth it. We had the Meatza, the BBQ chicken and the Sicilian Bread. Awesome. The guys working were great too. They were busy with takeout orders. The phones were ringing constantly. Tried this place out on a Sunday night, they do close at 7pm. We tried calling, but it went to the voicemail, which said they were really busy, however, no other customers were there when we picked the pizza up. Anyways, we placed an order online. Sadly, this is my update from my visit a while back. After my five star experience the first time, I was excited to order from Northshore Pizza again. I wanted to order around lunchtime at noon, but the earliest to pick up was at 2:00 pm. I figured they would make it fresh around then and it would be worth the wait after last time's awesome experince. Excitedly, I headed there in the snow and pulled up to the drive thru pick up window. Shivering, I read the sign at the window which told me to ring the doorbell. There was no bell. It told me to call a number. I called and no one picked up. I knocked on the window. No response. In the cold, I walked around confused until I found the front entrance and saw someone inside. My heart lifted. She walked slowly to the door and peeked out and told me to head back to the delivery window because I should not be in the front. I had no chance to speak as she shut the door. I trudged back to the delivery window which was once abandoned and which she would appear. I was shivering in the snow. She pulled out my pizza from the warmer which had clearly been there for a while. She said, "Have a nice day." The pizza was good but not quite as good as last time. It wasn't fresh and was warmed. I would give it 3.5 because I know last time was a definite 5 star experience. I just assume it's a fluctuating experience but for the lack of consistency, it dropped to a 3.5 star. read more

Too cold to sit on a patio, too Covid to sit inside a restaurant. Staying at Superior Shores and decided to find pizza. Person who answered was great, professional but funny... dressing for my salad? (which was fresh and green and filled with vegs) "we only have a choice of ranch or ranch" It was 20 min until close so just happy to be able to order food. We chose the ranch; it was a good decision. The pizza was really good. Again we were hungry and just glad to be getting COVID free hot food - but I'll order their pizza next trip up. Sausage was flavorful, plentiful and the sauce was tasty. Shockingly there was too much cheese. MN/WI normal amount of cheese so I'll remember to order 1/2 cheese next time. So for those who worry IF there is enough cheese; don't! Lastly, about $3.50 for delivery - still a great Covid free deal and the delivery person was fast and friendly. Still tip them - staff split the tips so be generous and thankful you are a) supporting a local business and young workers b) keeping your Covid risk low c) comping them for the risks they are taking and d) enjoying great pizza and salad in you pj's. Heading back to our cabin from a day trip to Duluth. we were too tired to cook, and weren't really interested in going to a restaurant. We found this place in Two Harbors and decided to give it a try based upon our fellow Yelp reviewer's comments (Thanks Yelpers). This place is located right on the main drag in Two Harbors. One of the pizzas that stood out from all the others was the Loaded Baked Potato based on comments we read. I gotta tell ya this was awesome and will make a point of getting it again. It is basically a potato skins, sour cream, bacon and onion pizza on ranch dressing. Sooo good! Delicious! We typically order thin crust, the Northshore pizza was phenomenal. Homemade crust, made fresh every morning. Veggies were the perfect amount with the generous but not overwhelming meats. I am not a fan of green peppers, with that said, the pieces were small, no complaints. The individual salad was a 2-person ensemble of crunch and fresh greens.. The coffeeshop was closed argh. right? 5:15 on a Summer Sunday night and had the pretty much worst service for the INCREDIBLY high price. We placed a order to go at 5:15 for 4 14" pizzas and a small side salad. They it was a hour wait.... WOW. The problem came when we tried to pick it up. We told it would be another 15 minutes. So after a hour and 15 minute wait for 4 medium pizzas and a salad they had one small container of red pepper. They told us they had no more. It was literally just enough for one person to use. We asked for Parmesan cheese and they acted like we put them out. They gave us two small Containers. All of this for $87.99 Yes.... $87.99 for 4 medium pizzas and a small side salad. The pizza was good but not worth the wait or the bad service. We are from TEXAS and expected Minnesota Nice and good service. Instead we got overcharged, hangry family and crummy service. read more

Omg, this place takes forever...if you take the train and stop for lunch this place will eat all your time before you have to board again. Pun intended. 45 minutes AFTER placing the order I saw it being made...we got it under cooked and barely made the shuttle cause we couldn't get them to put our leftovers in a box. Well, I hate to attack anyone, but I don't think I would recommend coming here. It was very strange. The whole business seemed very unfinished and all over the place. The pizza part itself was not very clean when we arrived. Eventually someone did come out and clean the tables and take away the bottle of cleaner that had been sitting out. The decor was very strange and mismatched- and some of the signs on the walls were still wrapped up in plastic like they hadn't been opened. Many of the signs had nothing to do with pizza or food of any kind. Attached to the pizza restaurant was a gift shop. Also a little strange. There were signs outside advertising for ice cream, but when a woman and a child came in asking for it, the woman at the front told her they didn't have ice cream. They also advertise for coffee and tea. I'm assuming that would be served from the table in the gift shop, but I don't know, since we were there for dinner. As for the food, my pizza was just okay. I ordered a 10" Hawaiian pizza. It was 97% cheese, the rest was crust and then like 6 small chunks of pineapple on top. I probably wouldn't get it again. My cousin ordered the chicken Alfredo pizza and she said it was pretty good. read more

Great local pizza with a lot of options. We got two 11" pizzas, the jalapeño popper and sausage with sour kraut. Both were really good! A neat trick they use is pushing the dough out flat, adding sauce, and then giving the dough a small roll along the edges. This keeps the crust full of that sauce and adds to the overall pizza. read more

Pizza was to DIE for. I got the Alfredo pizza, crust is one of the best crusts I've ever had (coming from a native Chicago girl!) we went back the next morning for coffee/bakery. Her oven had broken but the owner said come back in 30 mins for fresh baked goods, she was making scones/cookies (not really what we wanted) she asked my little brother what he wanted and he said cinnamon roll, she told us she would special make us some and come back the next morning. -I wish more places were like this!
