    Andy Man in the house!

A hidden gem in Greenpoin, Brooklyn with the most eclectic stules of furniture and some of the best vinyl record selection one can dream of! A very cool vibe and with a great atmosphere and great music playing on the background. Also, they have fishing gear in the back. Super interesting and an odd mixture of all! If you want to step outside of reality for a bit and get distracted by the overwhelming site of a collage of furniture art and fishing decor and gear and a gazzillion records ranging from vintage to new then take a walk into Dream Fishing Tackle!

The poor reviews this place has received are warranted and accurate. My experience -- I dropped my bike off on the 19th was told I would receive a quote for the repairs. Initially the ballpark quote was around $100 and these repairs were *necessary*. 12 days later no word from them. I tried calling just their phones aren't working. When I told the guy working that the phone lines were down he just shrugged his shoulders saying "yea they're down. No repairs done after 12 days and now the cost of repairs was $150. I was pretty pissed at having to physically come in to the shop to get a status update on my bike. Regardless, when I told them I wanted to take my bike without having them service it they charged me an ASSESSMENT FEE(?!). I've been riding bikes for decades and have never been charged an assessment fee for just having a repair shop look at my bike. Isn't that what they're paid to do? When I took it to another (read: better) bike shop down the road they too laughed at the idea of an assessment fee. I hate this place. I have spent hundreds of dollars in the last three months at their shop and they are constantly looking at ways to up charge me. In the end, the other bike shop said my bike was fine and needed zero repairs. As stated earlier, the negative reviews you see about this place are spot on. I will never return and I encourage all bikers to visit Bike Plant or another -- literally any other bike shop -- in the area.

John is remarkably endearing, knowledgeable, and I got a sense that he wants everyone that comes in through his doors to succeed. In person, he can give you the best prices, talk you through situations that you think might hinder your chances for a license, and he offers opportunities to expand your license and skillset. I'm confident that I will do my future endeavors in his establishment. Sal, the instructor, is a stand-up man. I couldn't imagine a better person to teach the class. He goes at a leveled pace, checks-in to make sure everyone is caught up, and class participation is mandatory with Sal making the environment more engaging and wanting to come back. YOU WILL GET MORE out of the class if you stick with your saved consecutive dates. He will teach you how to handle your weapon and the laws. However, Sal will also teach about needing a strong moral compass, patience, and a clear mind when carrying. In conclusion, Sal is impeccably thorough and you will learn a lot more than the average class which will only have you more comfortable using or not using your weapon.
