Les met me over thanksgiving weekend to hand load a bedroom set I had purchased(for less than any other retailer) because his employees were enjoying the time off. Once I got home and began unpacking I realized there was a chip in the wood of the footboard. After a message at 11:30pm I got a response that it would be taken care of the next day(Monday.) The next day his employee called to ask when is convenient for them to come deliver the replacements. The customer service and value are unbeatable. And who doesn't want to support a local business? Completely satisfied with my purchase! Saw the bed I wanted advertised on Craigslist and decided to check it out even though the price sounded too good to be true. Not much in the way of a showroom, but I suppose that's how the prices stay so low. Chose the bed and mattress I wanted and was told the order would be placed on Monday with about a week and a half delivery time. Got a call four days later that my bed was in, picked it up from the warehouse today, put it together in a snap and can't wait to enjoy it tonight. Looks as beautiful as pictured! The first time (2009) we shopped at The Dream Merchant, we had a great experience. We had great customer service, the bed frame was in stock, and we were able to go to their warehouse that same day and pick it up. A+. The second time (2016) we shopped at The Dream Merchant, we had a horrible experience. Well, the sales associates who helped us at the store were great but everything afterwards was a headache. You can pretty much just copy and paste the other negative reviews of the DM for this review. We bought some furniture from out of state and waited several weeks for delivery (to be expected). Then we waited all day on our delivery date just to have them come and discover that a leg was broken. Fine. Sh*t happens. The delivery people left with the broken furniture and we discovered that they somehow got a big sticker stuck on our rug when they were unpacking and didn't try to get it up or tell us. We've scrubbed, but there is still glue residue on the rug. Fine. Moving on. Waited until the following Monday to speak with a manager and she assured us that she would reorder the replacement piece and have it expedited. Another week goes by and no communication from DM. We call and get another run around that it will be in soon. Another week goes by, same thing. Then another week and we call and they said the piece still hasn't shipped. Honestly, I don't even think they placed the replacement order to begin with. So, we're looking at almost 2 months since we placed (and paid in full) our order. We finally ended up cancelling our order and requested a refund. Maybe if management would have worked with us on the price a little or demanded an expedited shipment from the seller on our behalf, then we would be in a different place. We felt like we were annoying the manager Diane with our requests for updates. Save yourself some trouble and shop elsewhere. read more

My girlfriend and I saw an ad on craigslist for a bed she had been looking for high and low. We had been searching for about a week both online and around town. We went to several different furniture stores and we were very disappointed in the selection and were about to give up and order something online. When we called Dream Merchant, Les (the owner) picked up and was super helpful! We stopped by his show room and were immediately impressed by the selection. It's clear that Les knows what people want and he definitely is in touch with market trends! The show room is modestly sized but don't let that fool you! Prices are inexpensive, service was good, delivery was on-time. We purchased a Queen sized platform bed and I was surprised how sturdy it was for the price we paid. We have searched HIGH and LOW for a sectional that would work for both my boyfriend and I. It seemed pretty simple, Sectional with Chase and loveseat, NOT leather, big enough chase for two people to sit on, and not brown. No, that's impossible to find. We went to Dream Merchant and they showed us an Ashley Katisha sectional in the catalog that was EXACTLY what we wanted. I was relunctant to buy a couch I hadn't sat on. I made my boyfriend drive all the way to cheyenne to go to the ashley store so we could sit on it. It was perfect, and SUPER comfortable. They quoted us $1200 before tax, additional $200 for delivery. The couch would have cost us easily $1500. And they said it would take 3 weeks to get. We went back to Dream Merchant and was out the door at $897 and we got it in 5 days! Earlier than they had originally quoted us. The show room is not quite a show room, however, you cannot beat their prices. They have tons of catalogs to look through and fabric samples, just ask! Honestly, if you find a couch or furniture somewhere else that you like, I would call DM and see if they can order it for you cheaper. 5 STARS! read more

Step One: Go online and find a piece of furniture you are looking for. Step Two: Call Dream Merchant and see if they sell said piece of furniture. Step Three: They will give you said furniture for the lowest price possible without them going out of business. Seems like most of the reviewers out there have at least experienced step three. I'll start by saying that I'm a self professed 'tight wad'. However, I am a tight wad that believes in buying quality furniture so as to not have to spend even more money down the road replacing pieces. I really like the Coaster Furniture series. It appears that company made furniture with the military in mind. In other words, despite being made in China, their line of furniture is tough and if you like rustic like I do, you won't be disappointed. I bring up the military because I'm in it and I my furniture has fallen victim many times to the dreaded government sponsored mover. Side note, some of my other furniture pieces are several quality and/or price levels above what Coaster offers, but I recommend them none the less. Bam...two reviews for the price of one...you're welcome. So with that said, I called Dream Merchant and told them what I wanted. I was ready to conduct a quick draw with my 'tight wad' knowledge of what the items were going for elsewhere online. I was surprised that the owner Les was willing to give me the lowest price without being prompted to do so. Simply put, he'll give you bottom dollar. Good dude (Les that is). The store manager, (Diane I think), was on top of it. I guess her performance is hit or miss based on previous reviews, but I thought she was great. Dream merchant is OK... things here are pretty modern but most things modern fall apart easier. We prefer to pay now for things that are classics and hold up longer. The bed we bought from them started to fall apart underneath the mattress so I say they are OK.as long as you buyout cash. DO NOT WORK WITH ONE OF THEIR FINANCE COMPANIES "SIMPLE FINANCE". They are the worst, I'd advise only if your honestly truly desperate and can pay it off in 2 to 3 months otherwise interest will rip you big time. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our experience buying from Dream Merchant! The sales associate who helped us at the store was incredibly helpful and gave us her undivided attention while helping us pick and choose a bed and a dining table. The prices are great and so far we are impressed with the quality of our purchased products! The employees at the warehouse where you pick up the furniture were also incredibly friendly and helpful! We picked up our furniture on a Saturday so it was a little busy but there was only one person in front of us. We only had to wait a few minutes but one of the employees came out and apologize for us having to wait. The service was great and the owner was even there helping it and spoke with my husband. I purchased a king size bed from Chris in February 2010. I selected a "firm" temperpedic mattress. The bed was always a little stiff for me...and after 7 months, I felt strongly about asking them to switch the bed out for a traditional pillow top Sealy mattress. I knew it was way over the 30 day period, but I thought I might as well try to exchange. Chris was the most accomodating salesperson I have ever encountered. Not only did he switch the bed out, he had the new mattress delivered and the old one taken away. The new bed is wonderful. I really liked shopping here. I thought prices were excellent, there was no pressured feeling to choose something, discounts were freely offered without being pushed. Plus Les and his staff were extremely polite. It took a lot of time to get my wall beds, but that wasn't their fault and he was very good about keeping track of my order. Each time I called he went to the trouble of calling the manufacturer for me and giving me a polite detailed update. When it took even longer for the beds than anyone anticipated, his salesman nicely offered without me asking to deliver them to my house free of charge. I have Bought furniture from dream merchant several times prior to this instance. This time I needed beds for my children, I was in a pickle so I got the beds financed. I ended up selecting bunkbeds in August 2019 and had white glove service when they delivered it. I moved in February 2020, I try to take the beds down so that they could come with me to my new house. Only to find out that the screws were stripped and drillbits broken In the screws. I had a professional moving company to try to take the beds down and they couldn't get the screws out.nI left the beds at the old apartment. I called dream merchant the following business day which was Monday, and explained to them what happened. I thought that I would get some kind of understanding, all they said is you should've called us when this happened. I ended up leaving the beds there and they're still trying to charge me for it. Bottom line I would never buy from them again. I'm still waiting on a phone call from the owner and never received want to try to make this right. read more

Horrible, horrible experience. If you are looking to buy purchase, I highly advise you not to buy from Dream Merchant. I spent roughly $3k on furniture from this store and had the delivery guys show up 4 times to replace the merchandise that was damaged. The second time a desk was delivered and was completely dirty with packaging material put together in the desk and it was dirty from the warehouse hands and was visible because of the glass, dresser was damaged completely, computer chair was covered in dirt all over the cloth from the truck. The third time they showed up with a new desk around 2-3 weeks later with the owner not willing to discount the desk because his employees lack of care. This time the desk was damaged again and 2-3 weeks later they show up again and took the desk back apart and I noticed additional damaged and I called in to notify Diana the GM and she started to get smart with me and then said "I'll let Les call you because it's better I not talk to you".. This has been the worse experience, ever. As an owner of a digital marketing agency, I also noticed they also disabled Facebook Reviews due to the amount of negative feedback. I will be sure that everyone knows about my experience. Something needs to change with the way this company is run. Not sure how they been in business this long with so much negative feedback. Purchased an item a week ago and was told that it would be ready for pick up in a week on Friday. As the day went by never heard anything so I called and was told that there was a problem with the item being delivered and was then given Saturday as the pick up day. I protested and was told that the item would be ready for pickup on the stated date. The facility has closed and I still have not heard anything about my purchase. I had visited the Dream Merchant a few years ago and the inventory was more futons than "real" furniture. I saw an ad for an upholstered bed on Craigslist so I decided to go back. Boy, I was surprised at how much they have upgraded the inventory. I found a LOVELY modern, tufted, upholstered bed that was a great value (way better than most places with this kind of Room & Board or Crate & Barrel style). I was planning to buy the "Heavenly Bed" that they use at the Westin Hotels ($1800 for just the mattress and box spring), but after trying the Gel Active Memory Form bed at Dream Merchant, I decided to buy there instead. With the mattress and the entire platform bed, I am spending less at Dream Merchant than if I had just bought the other mattress and box spring at Nordstrom's.....and I actually like the bed better. While I was there, a satisfied customer had come back and was trying out a memory foam pillow on "her bed" (the same Gel Active bed I'm buying). I overheard her asking the salesman, Chris, if he noticed how much straighter she is standing and walking since sleeping on her new bed for two weeks. I thought that real life testimonial was quite an endorsement and they didn't even know I was eavesdropping! I recommend this place for anybody who wants a good quality product at a fair price with good service. You're not going to find one-of-a-kinds here, but they have a good selection in their small showroom and lots of catalogs you can look through if you're looking for something not shown in the store. Chris is knowledgeable and very fun to work with. I showed him pictures of my new house and I got some great design advice from him. read more

I love the Dream Merchant! My Fiance and I stopped in after seeing a queen bed frame that we wanted on Craigslist, while we were inside we decided to look through some of the catalogs (they have a pretty good selection of furniture to look at and we will be back for our future end tables and coffee table) While looking through the catalog we found a bed frame very similar to the one we liked, but loved far more! We put it on the 3 month layaway. Very pleased :) We got it paid off but the frame we ordered was out of stock at that time, due to being new and the manufacturer having sold too many. We ended up waiting about 5 weeks, everyone was very prompt and gave us information on the shipment details and everything every step of the way! Its been delivered and we paid to have it set up. I really don't know how they have such a high rating? We saw an ad on Craigslist for a bunk bed and the picture looked amazing when we went to the warehouse it was not available so we found another one. We picked up the bunk bed and when we brought it home we were disappointed to see that the weight capacity was only 150 lbs. Now the memory foam mattresses are already 50 lbs leaving only 100 lbs. That doesn't make us feel comfortable especially if the girls jump on the bed. We didn't open the box and let the owner know we want to return the bed as it did not fit our needs. He indicated returns were not allowed even though we did not open the boxes yet. He stated that the information for returns was all over the store. Now... We bought the bed over the phone. And they take payment with a credit card. We had no chance to even see the office by the time the payments were made. This place is a scam and I'm sure a lot of these reviews are fake. When I initially wrote my review I was somewhat frustrated due to a part that needed to be replaced, this has been resolved and as such I wanted to write an update. The furniture we got is of excellent quality, two bunk beds with drawers and made out of solid wood rather than chip board and not only was the price really good for what we got, the owner was extremely helpful. The Dream Merchants studio is unassuming but by virtue of the fact it is not in Cherry Creek means the overhead savings are passed onto the customer. read more

This place is completely unprofessional. I order a bed back in February, I didn't receive any call I was the one always contacting them. It took them 3 weeks to tell me that they didn't have the product. Then they emailed me pictures to change to another style I choose another style and I didn't received any calls for the following weeks. I was called last week that the bed should be in this week and I never received any calls after that. I called today to get information first called I was told they were going to call me back an hour went by and nothing, so i decided to call when I did a guy name Gilbert put me on hold, this consisted on putting the phone down for 20 minutes I could hear him talk and everyone around. I got tired hung up and called back Gilbert answer again and I told them to cancel my order he just asked if i was charged on my card i said yes and he just said OK I will tell them to give you your money back and he proceed to hung up. NEVER purchase anything from this store! The service is horrible...the owner is absurd, unprofessional, rude, unsympathetic, ridiculous ...shall I go on? We purchased a memory foam mattress and after less than 1 year, the foam was separating and defective. After many emails and phone calls, we finally got them to honor the 10 year warranty and deliver another bed. However, no one calls to let you know when the delivery is...we had to call and have them contact the warehouse. Then, the delivery never shows up. Once again, we call and find out that they are running behind. Bottom line, don't waste your time shopping at this hole in the wall furniture place. Its not worth the hassle, frustration, or minimal savings. You save a few dollars up front, but then it falls apart anyway and you end up buying something else. read more
