this place is..interesting!! everyone in the salon is nice and very welcoming. the nail techs really listen to what you want and make sure you like what they're doing. i have loved my nails every time here, and usually get a discount for being a student. the only reason i'm taking off stars is that my nail tech asked for my phone number-which kinda made me uncomfortable!! someone being flirty as they hold your hands and you can't leave for an hour isn't the most fun thing ever. read more

I got my nails done on 3/7/19 and not only a day later one of my nails comes completely off while im away from Lubbock visiting my family for spring break in Houston. So not only did I have to go to a different and pay to get my nail fixed but also have different colored nails. Then the following two days three more nails came off. The woman who fixed my nail told me that my nails keep coming off because whoever did my nails used very little glue. I expect more from Dream Nails since I've been coming to them for over five months. I pay for quality and this will be my last time coming to this establishment. read more

I had an older gentleman who sat on his phone the whole time and my dip-manicure was obviously the first experience he had with shellac. He pulled out the brushes to do acrylics and the woman working next to him looked, and just handed him the bonding polish and walked away. I had nex-gen on my nails from back home and told him they would soak off in acetone, he proceeded to try and rip off the layer of Nex-gen until finally realizing I was right.... my nails were like bubbles, they were so thick, and had no shape at all. I went to target immediately after to buy a nail file and a buffer. Also, his drill slipped several times due to his attention being else where and my cuticles are cut up. I would have put zero stars but the least amount I could put was one star. I sent my daughter there on her 21st birthday to get her nails done they had to switch technicians in the middle of it because the first one was cutting her fingers. She came home $50 later with cuts on four out of five of her fingers and in tears. Do not go to the salon! And to top it off the nails look like absolute crap. They better hope no infection occurs! read more

I had been here one time before and got dips done and was happy with them. Went back yesterday and an older gentleman did my nails and I'm not sure if he couldn't see or was just really bad at doing nails. There was powder and nail polish all over the side of my fingers and they were very uneven and bumpy. He said they were finished and if I wouldn't have said anything he would have left it like that. After I asked him to fix them he cut my finger with the drill on every single finger and then sprayed acetone on them. They were all bleeding when I left. It was an AWFUL experience and he didn't see anything wrong with it. read more

I called ahead on a Tuesday evening asking for availability and they said 20 min. I headed over ten minutes later and waited an additional 20 minutes with no one offering any service. I decided to make an appointment for the following day at 12:30. I got to the salon at 12:15 and walked out at 12:45. I was only greeted once and asked to pick a color. I sat for thirty minutes watching the workers come in and out, talk to each other, and work on the only two other clients in the salon. I wouldn't give them a star at all if I didn't have to. This is place is terrible, it looks clean and is appealing because of the 20% off banner but I guarantee that it is not worth it. This place was not sanitary, the workers were not clean and did NOT take their time. In addition they were unable to keep up with all of the business that they had. We waited for about 45 minutes, when we first got their the workers told us it was gonna be 20$ for a shellac manicure when we were leaving to be charged it changed to 30$ for a crappy job. I will never be going back to this place and hope no one else does, I was cut and was bleeding and the worker was not phased and put some sketchy oil to make it stop. There were no licenses displayed in the salon which was also very sketchy. read more

My mom came into town last weekend so we went to go get pedicures. The environment was nice and it looked clean. Something that did bother my mom and I were there were no cosmetology certificates on the wall. The pedicures felt rushed rather than relaxing. Overall it was a nice place, not sure if the employees were certified, and the 20% special would be the only reason I would come back! read more

I went in and asked the man for acrylic nails, instead of acrylic he gave me powder which is $15 more and then charged me for powder when that is not what I wanted. On top of everything my nails are sloppy, the skin around my nails are stained from the color, the shapes are all uneven, and he used his finger nails to push back my cuticles instead of a sanitary tool. read more

Nope, just don't do it. Waited an HOUR for a pedicure because there were only 5 people working. They refused to give us an estimate for how long it would take ("well we're really busy..." they weren't even full.). Then, the water in the pedicure bowl was COLD and when I asked to have it warmer they said that they couldn't. That's unacceptable. Then the man who did my nails spilled my drink and didn't get me a new one. They don't have the prices for shellac explicitly on there which is extremely misleading. My nails aren't well done at all, and all in all it took me TWO AND A HALF HOURS for a mani-pedi. Terrible. I will never come here again and I highly recommend that you do the same. read more

I want to give this place 0 stars. I went to Dream Nails & Spa because my normal place was closed and I was more than disappointed. I paid $40 for dip and my nails ended up looking completely different than the color I chose. It was see-thru and didn't look at all like what I asked for. While I was getting my nails done the man had his phone in his lap and he constantly looked down at his lap to see his phone while he was doing my nails. He would also watch the football game on TV instead of looking at what he was doing to my nails. There were gaps and inconsistencies. When I showed him that my nails didn't look at all like what I picked he became irritated and told me he could do shellac over and I said okay. He filed off half of the dip and was so aggressive he filed off part of my skin and I started bleeding. I now have dip and shellac on my nails with the shellac having little circles and being uneven at the base. And he still charged me the full $40. He didn't do any "manicure" type things to my nails on top of everything else. He sat me down, put on the dip, watched his phone and tv, got irritated, made me bleed, and charged me full price. I wouldn't even give this place one star honestly. I went in with my mom for a pedicure. I don't normally trust nail salons in Lubbock normally but decided since this place was new we would try it out. They have 0 color selection. If you like red or pink polish-this is the place for you! The owner ended up doing my pedicure. He was very rough. He cut my nails way too short. Cut my cuticles to the point of bleeding. He then spilled some paraffin wax on the floor and got angry. He proceeded to take it out on me and be very rough. He would smack my legs to alarm me which leg he needed to work on. When he wrapped my legs in the heated towels- he tried to yank them off to the point where he was repetitively picking up and dropping my foot down over and over again just ramming it into the stool of the chair. I walked out crying. I cried pretty much the entire pedicure. He never asked me what was wrong so I told another lady i was unhappy. He came out with a huge smile on his face asking what was wrong like he didn't know. Terrible customer service. I have been in the customer service business since I've been old enough to have a job. He also slapped the nail polish on my toes so I had to ask to get them repainted by someone else so that I wouldn't have to deal with him anymore. I am beyond traumatized. He is a terrible human being. I will go with my instinct next time and get my nails done back in my hometown. I will make sure this place gets no business from anyone I know. I will not get a pedicure for a while in fear for being mistreated again. I have never been hit and certainly never paid to have someone hit me. I am astonished someone runs their business like such.
