I tried out this nail salon today in the hopes of finding my go to in Lubbock. I went for just a…read morebasic pedicure and a dip-powder acrylic nail set. The pedicure was well worth the reasonable $35 (this is as low as the price goes for pedicures for their menu, FYI). I chose the lavender scrub and the owner, Kim - who did the pedicure, was very meticulous and sweet...easily my favorite nail person I've ever had. Then, to the not so good. I have very small hands and nails so I understand it takes a lot more effort to do them. I was taken care of by a male worker in the salon who I never got the name of. In summary, my nails were done precisely the way I chose and all that jazz. BUT I had at least 4 fingers that could not stop bleeding from my cuticles being cut so deep. One finger was actually oozing blood as the nail technician repeatedly apologized as he tried to stop the bleeding with pressure and nail glue (btw: wtf???). It just so happened around this time it began to become super busy. Instead of perhaps giving me a discount or checking on my hands, he just apologized and moved to the next guest as I grudingly paid and left. So why did I still give it such a high rating? The owner, Kim, is absolutely amazing. I ended up requesting a full refund from how sensitive, scratchy, and swollen my fingers that were cut had become. It's nothing crazy and I know every tool they used was clean, but I wasn't willing to pay $40 for that kind of fingernail work. Kim recognized this and was actually going to reach out to me after the rush had passed to come back in. She gave me a full refund and was so sweet/apologetic. I've had some terrible nail experiences where nail technicians pretended to not even know me. Kim was so kind, sweet, and genuinely apologetic. All and all, the experience was about 60/40. The pedicure was fantastic by Kim. The ambience was clean. Decent nail selection plus a free refreshment. My dip-nails are looking better now that the swelling has gone down and the technician actually did some decent work besides the 'Cuticle Crisis'. Honestly, in all businesses mistakes are made. It happens. I just so happened to be the person it happened to. But what matters is how the mistake is dealt with and Kim really blew me away with her kindness. I am willing to give this place another try and I think anyone in the area should too! Plus I haven't seen one bad review up until my visit. Thank you again Kim and see you soon!

It took an unusually long time but it was good and the people were friendly. It seemed clean. Then last weekend, I called to make an appointment for 3 pedicures and 1 manicure. I brought my mom and her friend. They both enjoyed a pedicure and my mom got a manicure. However- about 5 mins into my pedicure, we had to stop. The woman who was giving me the pedicure was super rude. She did something with the tool that removes gel polish on the side of my toe. It started to swell. She then cut my toe nail below the bed. It started to bleed. I stopped the pedicure immediately. The next day - my toe next to the toe she cut was also swollen and had puss coming out of it. A week later - both my toes still hurt. I've been attending to them daily, trying to stave off an infection. Im beyond grossed out and the woman was soo unbelievably rude to boot. The people who worked on my mom and her friend were polite and they enjoyed their experiences. I've never gotten an infection or had my toe nail cut below the bed to the point of a bloody toe before. I won't be coming back. They clearly have a female staff member who shouldn't be working there. If you hate customers, don't work in a business where you cater to customers and their feet all day.
