The ladies at the OVI provided some really great suggestions, especially as the weather was not up to par for outside events. I was given pamphlets of things to see and do as well as suggestions to eat. Some of the places I knew about but there were places, like the Jocelyn Castle, that I wasn't aware of and even while at dinner with locals from her job, they were not aware of. I highly recommend that if you are visiting, that you stop in and get some information from the locals that may take you places that you hadn't planned to go, but glad you went.

The Visitor Information Center is in the Old Market, and while you are here (maybe to spend time in our fantastic newly-renovated city park!) you can drop in to this volunteer-staffed office and look through the plentiful and well-organized pamphlets, and also talk with people who are familiar with the things our city has to offer!

This is a lovely hotel option in downtown Omaha. The rooms…read moreare spacious and clean, and the staff are friendly. The hotel restaurant is also superb. A couple of things that prevent me from awarding the hotel 5 stars: - One of the two beds was very uncomfortable. It was the bed next to the window. The space between the bed and the window was tiny, so only one side of the mattress ever seemed to be used making the bed uncomfortable. Thankfully I had the second bed as an option for my 2nd night's stay. - I opted to sleep on the 2nd floor, but I wished I hadn't as there was a lot of noise from the street. If I was to stay at this hotel again I would choose a higher floor. - Do not park in the dumpy garage. It is awful. I used valet for the rest of my stay after parking my car once.

The bus drivers and tour guides complained about tour owner. Bus drivers and tour guides never followed tour itinerary and we arrived at motels at 10 o'clock at night with no supper.
