MY advice: definitely get the handheld CO2 cannon gun! Our friends were speechless and have never seen anything like it. It kept the vibes up the whole night (just look at the photos). We were having a hard time finding a relatively younger DJ in the wedding industry that would understand our music tastes and came across the Bilo Events page. When I saw DJ DUBYANG in the lineup, I knew it had to be him! We know that he used to play at Arena SF, and that's exactly the vibe I wanted at my wedding -- club/EDM music. We were totally right because he mixed the music sooo seamlessly and felt out the crowd. No notes!! 10/10. Fire set. Everyone had the best time. We keep getting compliments from people telling us about the excellent music choices. He also had a great pool party playlist he recommended for cocktail hour that was perfectly curated. It was giving Vegas day club. :-) We wanted to change the timing on our processional and grand entrance songs and they were able to loop and cut those no problem, even when we asked the day before the wedding. They use a custom wedding planning & music curation app that easily allowed us to upload the exact version of music we wanted from Spotify/ Youtube/ SoundCloud for all parts of our ceremony and reception and write notes that we wanted them to pay attention to. It was really easy to navigate! Winston checked in on us multiple times throughout the wedding planning process and had a few meetings with us. So easy to work with and so nice! He was able to understand the vibe we were going for quickly. Wedding day, everything went smoothly, sound was great, and he was a great emcee as well. We would recommend him over and over again to everyone! Also, they offer a lot of other services, such as photobooth and studio-esque photography. If I had known they offered this beforehand, I probably would have booked some of these services through them as well to make life easier.

We initially spoke with several other planners, but after our first call with Kimberly, we knew we wanted her to be the one helping us plan our event this past October in Sonoma. We insisted that Kimberly was our go-to with ASE. ASE has several levels of planning packages depending on what you are looking for. My Husband and I decided to go with the partial planning package and it was the perfect balance for us. We are from the Chicagoland area so having a planner in California where we were getting married was essential. Kimberly is also well-connected in wine country/the wedding industry and has relationships with many of the vendors who ASE has worked with over the years. This is a major perk, since she was able to point us in the direction of some of the best vendors out there! We always felt like we were in the right hands and were provided high quality recommendations by Kimberly. Throughout the past year of planning with Kimberly she was always kind and had such a positive attitude. Aside from being our wedding planner, Kimberly felt like a friend. Not only did we hear from several of our vendors how much they loved working with Kimberly and how organized she was, even several of our friends asked who she was because they noticed how on top of everything she was at the wedding. Everyone tells you how stressful wedding planning can be, especially since our entire planning process was virtual and during covid, but ours was carefree and fun! You also hear "something is going to go wrong the day of" but my husband and I can say that our day was flawless. If something did go wrong, it was nothing made known or visible to either us or any of our guests. When my Husband and I returned to our hotel room at the end of that night, Kimberly and her assistant had already returned all our signs and personal belongings to our room. They laid out my veil on the bed with our welcome sign so beautifully (see pic). Although this was a small gesture, we felt it was so thoughtful to walk back to at the end of what was already the perfect day! One final touch if you will! I have said to my husband on numerous occasions recently that I wish our wedding planning wasn't over and how I want to experience our day all over again and he agrees! My 14 month engagement turned into 26 months and I cannot imagine having gone through the challenges the pandemic and wild fires presented without Kelly. In addition to her gorgeous work, creativity, and connections in the industry, she is as genuine as can be and truly wants the best for her brides, grooms and their families. Not only does Kelly want to make your wedding planning experience as easy and fun as possible, but she also does an incredible job of getting to know you and making the wedding extremely personal. She got to know my husband and me in addition to our story and overall vision for our special day/weekend. Kelly goes above and beyond. For example, Kelly knew mine and my husband's love for Crumbl cookies and it became a shared love between all of us. She had the great idea to pick up Crumbl catering for our Rehearsal Dinner, which was also my husband's birthday, because she knew how special that would be for us. This is just the smallest example of Kelly's thoughtfulness throughout the whole process. Our wedding planning process presented extreme challenges between having to postpone a full year due to the pandemic and having to find a new venue/caterer/other vendors after our original venue burned down, but Kelly had my back every step of the way. She worked tirelessly to give us the best options while still taking our budget and preferences into consideration. The day would not have been possible without her and we are forever grateful for her dedication, her hard work, and her genuine love for what she does. Three months later, anytime we see our friends and family, they still talk about how perfect and absolutely stunning our wedding day and weekend was. I knew our day would be special but it was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. Kelly and the ASE team went above and beyond in creating the most special, beautiful, personalized and intimate wedding for us and I will forever be grateful. While planning our wedding, I put a lot of time and effort into finding the perfect (and affordable) vendor for all aspects. I was pretty devastated to learn how expensive lighting could cost and had eventually decided to go to Costco to buy our own lights and wing it! Upon searching Craigslist for used lights, I came across A-Tough Lighting. Can't tell you how happy I am that I sent that e-mail. Tank was very quick to respond and we set up a time in the next few days for a consultation. We discussed ideas and he was extremely helpful in working with our budget. We immediately were happy with our decision Here were a few decided on that were delivered wonderfully: -Zigzagged Italian lights for our reception room -String lights outside over ceremony -Wall of lights that were roughly 24 ft wide by 30 ft high (turned out AMAZING) -Draped curtain of lights to the entrance of huge barn like door -Tons of uplighting creating pathways and great detail Tank was awesome. His personality was very energetic and so enthusiastic!. He was open to all ideas and gave us great feedback as well. His partner, Vanessa, was also very helpful and as a team they got things done! If you're looking someone who will be excited for your event, who's open to all of your ideas, someone who is professional, and someone who will create an overall great experience -- Tank is your guy! Everything went so smoothly, and I truly cannot imagine the day without her. Maria took care of every detail, including so many things we did not even realize needed to be done. As the mother of the bride, I was able to relax, be present, and enjoy every moment instead of worrying about logistics. That alone was priceless. She handled the setup, coordinated the ceremony, kept the entire day on schedule, made announcements, made sure the bride and groom had food and drinks, handed out champagne for the toast, and quietly took care of countless details behind the scenes. She even made sure the marriage license and all of the gift cards were safely collected and given to me while the newlyweds enjoyed celebrating with their guests. The music was perfect, and everyone had a great time on the dance floor. One of my favorite touches was when Maria handed out light up wands for dancing. It was such a fun surprise and made the reception even more memorable. Maria is organized, professional, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about making your day special. I've had no updates from Lisa since our last email on Feb 21 (over a month ago). At that time, she replied she was consulting with "industry experts" and will get back to me. Rather than reaching out to me personally she hired a lawyer to threaten me in the hope I will take my honest review of my experience with Blooming Wed down (photo of legal letter attached). I signed a wedding planning contract with Lisa and found myself needing to terminate it merely two months later. The process has been incredibly stressful and disheartening. Throughout it, I had the opportunity to meet with ~15 wedding planners both domestically and internationally, and gained a lot of insight into the wedding planning industry and contract nuances. I'll start my review with objective observations and end with my personal experience. **Strict Signed Contract** Lisa's contract is one of the strictest planner contracts I've ever seen. It does not have an Act of God clause that protects clients, meaning if anything happens (the venue is destroyed, a hurricane comes, the couple is sick, pandemic round 2...etc) she will not refund for any reason. She did not even give out refunds during COVID. This leaves her clients extremely vulnerable to unforeseen circumstances. **Problematic Payment Structure** This is how Lisa's payment is structured: flat $15k fee or 15% of the total wedding cost, whichever is higher. It's not unheard of for a planner to request payment this way, but it's incredibly uncommon. This arrangement creates a conflict of interest, as it may incentivize steering clients toward pricier options. Also, she requires 50% upfront, while many planners I talked to only required 30%. **Budget Transparency** Lisa's services are not for budget-conscious clients, or even clients who have a budget at all. In the two months she was my planner, she failed to provide any estimated vendor costs and we never talked about my budget. I specifically asked her for a sample cost breakdown of a venue and waited a month for her response. I never received it. All of the other wedding planners I met with sent me a cost breakdown for FREE immediately after the intro call. They did this without being asked to. **Communication Challenges** I've experienced a lack of responsiveness from Lisa during our entire two months together, from our initial interest form (1 week delay) to our most recent email on which she said she would consult about our partial refund request (it has been a month without an update from her). Between her vacations and other wedding clients, I never felt my project was a priority for her. **Personal Experience** I'm deeply disappointed with the services provided by Lisa. Our decision to terminate our contract was difficult. Due to immigration issues, my father can no longer enter the USA in the foreseeable future so my partner and I have to relocate our wedding to a country unfamiliar to Lisa, rendering her services impractical. We signed our contract November 2023, encountered this problem in January 2024, and immediately let Lisa know of our situation. Despite our efforts with Lisa to find a amicable solution and many touch-points with her, my partner and I eventually landed on requesting a partial refund. Lisa refused to refund any portion of the $7.5k , even though it is written into our contract that she has the power to do so AND despite her agreeing verbatim that she did not provide $7.5k worth of service. At this point we have no date (we were considering years 2025/6/7), no venue, no vendors booked. We don't even have a budget breakdown. We have only had one venue tour with Lisa. It's evident that she has only completed a fraction of the work (2% to be exact), yet insists on keeping the full payment. I dislike posting a one-star rating to a small business, but I feel the need to be transparent and caution future clients about Lisa. It is crucial to choose a wedding planner who demonstrates flexibility, understanding, and a willingness to accommodate unforeseen circumstances. Unfortunately, Lisa's refusal to adapt to our situation and the issues outlined above do not align with her premium pricing. For me, Lisa has broken my trust and it feels like theft that she is keeping $7.5k for one hour of work. I urge potential clients to consider these factors carefully before engaging Lisa's services.

Firstly, she knows Nestldown through and through as a venue - it has a bunch of uncommon and often difficult to navigate rules and restrictions. This meant that we didn't have to worry about surprise venue fees or fines, and instead could focus our attention on how we wanted to use the space instead. Lisa set month-by-month goals for us, which meant we were always confident that we were on track and didn't forget about certain things. This made the process so much less stressful for the both of us. She handled communicating with and following up with all of our vendors too - a blessing that can't be understated. Wedding planning is a constant stream of decision-making, which Lisa made so much easier by listening to our wants and needs and suggesting vendors, designs, timelines, hotels, and so much more. She made it so that our responsibility was to choose between a few, generally all great options rather than having to sort through the unlimited amount of choices. As an aside, Lisa has impeccable taste and knew how to execute our vision better than we could have dreamt of. We're still in love with our table settings! We were most impressed by the wedding day itself - Lisa managed all the stress of logistic so we could enjoy the day without a care in the world. Sometimes we could hear time-pressed questions being asked by vendors over the walkie-talkie, and Lisa responding to each of them expertly. None of those logistical challenges ever made it to us - and while with us, she and her team were focused on ensuring we had everything we needed and were having a good time. Our wedding went off without a hitch, and everyone had an amazing time!

She was so kind and accommodating (even when I made some last minute asks two weeks prior to the wedding) and willing to work within our price point. I sent her a few example photos of what I wanted, and she took it from there! While we never met in person leading up to the big day, she's communicative and asked a ton of questions to make sure she could bring our vision to life. SHE DID! (See photos.) When planning a wedding, there are so many details and decisions to make (ie: stress) over. Don't make things more complicated than they have to be! If you've found Anna - CELEBRATE! I didn't see a lot of examples of Anna's work in the style I wanted beforehand so I wasn't totally sure how the arrangements would look, but the flowers were even more beautiful than I had hoped. She really nailed the loose & romantic look that we'd talked about, and since we didn't really have "wedding colors" she incorporated the fall tones that we wanted perfectly. She was at the venue to set up right on time, made sure all the arrangements were placed in the right spots, and came back at the end of the night to pick up the larger vases and trees we'd rented from her. The more I look at photos, the more I realize just how much Anna did for us that day, from the fairy lights strung around the manzanita trees, to the 6-foot leaf garland at our head table, to the aisle arrangements in galvanized buckets. The flowers at our wedding were probably the one thing I had the highest expectations for, and Anna gave us something so beautiful and memorable.

Jessica: Jessica was our main point of contact throughout the planning process, and she was truly amazing. Whether we had questions or requests for the decorators, MC, DJ, day-of coordinator, photographers, videographers, or HMUA, she was always there to help. She was patient, kind, incredibly organized, and never made me feel like my questions were too much. Our Service Instruction worksheet was so detailed that every vendor knew exactly what to expect, which made the entire day run seamlessly. Decoration Team: The décor for both our ceremony and reception was absolutely stunning. Just two weeks before the wedding, I made a major change to our reception backdrop, and the team worked hard to bring my new vision to life. Jessica even arranged for me to see digital mockups after we discussed how important they were to me. Because of that, I was able to completely refresh the design from the inspiration I had shared over a year earlier. My advice: be as specific as possible about what you like and don't like--it really helps the decorators create your vision. Everything was executed beautifully. MC Eric: Eric was phenomenal! We specifically wanted a bilingual English/Vietnamese MC, and he exceeded every expectation. Even our hard-to-impress Vietnamese aunties and uncles couldn't stop complimenting him. He was charismatic, organized, and handled last-minute changes effortlessly. We had to adjust our timeline during the reception, including pausing photos and adding speeches, and he kept everything flowing naturally without awkward downtime. He also perfectly coordinated our unique sequence of dances with the DJ, making every transition feel seamless. DJ Otis: We didn't know who our DJ would be until the wedding day, and we were thrilled it was Otis! He absolutely nailed the music all night. The dance floor stayed packed until 11 PM because he knew exactly how to read the crowd. He mixed current hits with 70s-90s favorites that kept both younger guests and the older Vietnamese crowd dancing. The glow sticks and light-up glasses were a huge hit, and the energy never dropped. Day-of Coordinator Carina: Carina was incredible. She was warm, personable, and unbelievably organized. I thought my planning documents were detailed, but hers were even more thorough! She made me feel completely at ease leading up to the wedding and even drove to Pleasanton to run our rehearsal (an add-on that was absolutely worth it). Multiple vendors and family members commented on how efficient and organized she was. Photography & Videography: Our package included an engagement shoot plus two photographers and two videographers. Sam photographed both our engagement session and wedding, and his work was beautiful. We chose his light and airy editing style, and our engagement photos turned out amazing. On the wedding day, Sam and Christine were fantastic. They captured every moment while making us feel comfortable. One thing I'll never forget was how Sam noticed we hadn't had a moment to ourselves because of nonstop photos. He quietly pulled us away under the guise of a private reception reveal so we could enjoy a few peaceful minutes together. It was such a thoughtful gesture. Otis was kind with great attention to detail from the start. Ultimately, we decided with the glam package and our contract was very clear to understand with cost breakdown for removal of specific services / add-ons. I updated it many times with Jessica, our planner, as we made changes throughout the months, and she was always so patient and clear. Our MC Otis did a wonderful job with maintaining flow of the program. Otis was also working as DJ for a good portion of the evening, so props to him! We had closer to an hour compared to 1.5 hours of open dancing because we were behind schedule, but everybody was on the dance floor and he kept the party going seamlessly. Weddings are hectic and there are so many moving parts; we did get behind schedule but we were still able to do everything we wanted to do. Our photo & video services were set to end, but Otis was very professional in discussing with us if we wanted to extend our video services, communicative on additional cost, at the moment. Our photographer, Ben, along with the team Stanford and videographer, Christina, were so fun to work with. Ben was great at providing direction, which is especially helpful since we were not used to posing. I have not received photo & video yet as it has only been a week, but from an experience standpoint, they were attentive to detail, communicative, and glided effortlessly through the event. My makeup artist, Vivi, is the sweetest person. She was super attentive to detail and my particular skin type. I was worried about makeup because I don't wear heavy makeup often. I ended up paying for a make-up trial, and I was so happy working with Vivi that I had no worries for the wedding day. We also added-on make up for our mothers, which Vivi did the morning of. The reception decor turned out so pretty! Everything was set-up as scheduled. I was really happy with the welcome backdrop and name sign. It was also great to take pictures with guests with the backdrop since we had time during cocktail hour. We asked TDE to incorporate a large screen as the backdrop of our sweetheart table, so we found an example from a previous wedding they did, and it turned out exactly as expected. We added the photo-booth, which was so popular with the guests! There were so many cool props and our guests were having tons of fun with it. I also sent TDE a custom drawing that I wanted for the photo strips- and it turned out just like I imagined. We chose Grand Dynasty as our reception venue, and TDE communicated set-up details with our restaurant event manager, Esmond, in the days leading up to the event. I highly recommend TDE and the team that we worked with! Thank you for making it an unforgettable experience.

Without an assistant, she was fully occupied with setting up decor downstairs so the prime management of multiple hand-offs, dealing with vendors arriving at once, crossing off key happenings on the timeline was not entirely covered. Otherwise, the wedding would of been near perfect. At the end of the day, she genuinely cares about her brides and works hard to make your dreams come to life.
