Thanks to Yelp, I found this super cute hole-in-the-wall book store! At first look it doesn't look like much, but don't let that fool you. This is the perfect spot for any major bookworm like myself to offer up trades and revive a decent store credit. Majority of their books are between $3-$5. They have a decent selection and lots of collections/sets available. The book tender is super helpful and a writer herself, how cool right? One thing I thought was pretty neat is they put out a monthly newsletter, full of the up and coming books, daily sales, prayer chains, local and community news! It reminded me of the College Daily News I used to check for each month, but set for all the book savvy readers. They also have an AMAZING sale on Wednesday's and Sundays, all books $5 and under for $1, score! I personably found three Jodi Picoult hardback books for roughly $9, all in excellent condition. They also have little nick knacks and random items available for sale (jewelry, bookmarks, etc.) My son was with me and of course he found four trucks that he wouldn't put down, but for .50 a truck, I couldn't pass them up! He's been playing with them non-stop for the past few hours, best $2 I spent in a long time, haha! For roughly $11 I have things to occupy myself and my son, win/win in my book! read more

Will I ever go E-book? Perhaps, but not for the foreseeable future. My many titles are a big part of my home, they give more soul than it already has, a source of conversation and comfort. Three hardcovers from the outside Sale Table for a dollar is not to be passed upon. Learning or enjoying from some words, costing just a few cents is music to my ears. Gradually graduating from hinged arm to basket, to box to cart, I had my fill --- for the day. And to think, I was that close to driving by and missing the posted sign reading BOOK SALE, clearly the reading gods were on my side once again. Now at the checkout desk, I spoke with the owner just for a few moments. The woman before me allowed me past, I believe she was asking for credit -- credit for books, immediately making me both happy and sad. I wanted so much to give her money but thought better of it for the possible embarrassment aspect. This store is a special place, a return to the good and simple things in life that I hold dear. Rows of books, writing implements, candles and a peaceful easy feeling you can not get just anywhere. read more

Dreamalot Books on Old Highway 52 in Moncks Corner is a great place to go for all things books at a good value. I really like the location and the selection of different books that they have here. I have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made from here. read more

We have a few book series that are missing one or two from the set, so we've set out on a used bookstore quest to fill in the gaps. The man who owns this bookstore originally started out when his wife wanted him to sell 1,000 books from their own collection. Nine years later he's still going! It's located in the same building as an Allstate office and a lawyer's office. Sunday and Wednesday are dollar days, where any book that is priced at $5 or under is on sale for a dollar. We managed to pick up two books, one a nice hardcover in mint condition, for a dollar each! The selection isn't huge mainly because it's a small store but they do have a ton of romance books, a large shelf of science fiction and quite a few shelves of general fiction with some popular authors. I think we'll be popping in here quite frequently to check out the new additions. While we were there I think there were two or three other people selling boxes of books, so the influx of new books seems pretty constant. read more

Five star bookstore has moved to next door to General Dollar at Creekside Shopping Center

We popped into this place yesterday to check it out. It has many romance and sci fi ooks, as well as a large collection of records. We ended up getting eight books of assorted fiction and a cookbook. We also ended up getting two records. Sunday happens to be one of there dollar days so we got our books for super cheap! They also have homeschool books to lend, which was very cool. Everyone was super friendly in the shop and we plan to return. However I do wish the store could have been a little cleaner, especially the bathroom area. read more

This is a hidden gem. I just moved to Summerville and went to a local book store and was very dissatisfied with the service/prices there. I was getting an oil change done and was chatting another customer waiting for her car. She told me about this store in Goose Creek and I am so happy I met that woman because this store is amazing. Friendly employees, great prices, and a HUGE selection. Do yourself a favor and visit today. read more

The store is usually dirty and disorganized. I love to browse through bookstores, but this is just a little too dirty to browse. If you can stand it and look around, there are some deals to be had. read more
