There are some things I miss about the place that disappeared over the years like some of the bars that you could just stop in at even if you weren't coming for a show. But I am sure Covid and other factors caused retrenchment. . I still think it's worth seeing the building for the views inside and out. More importantly, their plays are excellent . We saw Macbeth. Really well done show. You cannot beat the Guthrie for theater.

The tickets are reasonably priced and you can usually get one last minute of needed. The staff are really helpful and friendly in my experience. The seats are comfortable and there really isn't a bad spot to sit in order to have a great view of the stage. Parking is all street parking, so it can be a challenge on a busy night to find a close spot. After the shows I've been to, the actors all line up to say hello and sign your program. It was lovely and the seats were amazing. It was a great opportunity to go and see something different a little outside of your standard Friday nights events. Each dance did a fantastic job and they even had a male who was on toe, quite impressive. I would recommend this to any couple / family as a great outing. I have also heard they have children performances where the kids and come and go as needed throughout to make it easier on the little ones, what a great idea!

This is what I take from the performances: Classical ballet foundations applied to contemporary art, cultural and social issues, human ironies, imagination, humor, beauty, and the search for meaning.
