First off....If I could give 10 Stars. I would!! Dr. Shah is a Master of his craft. He is a smile creating genius of a man!! I have always been self conscious about my smile. It was Gummy. Had gaps. Odd shaped teeth. And had enamel erosion on the front top 4 teeth in the form of grooves and pits. After having consults with 6 other dentists, I was recommended by a friend to check out Dr. Shah at Dreamscape Dental. As I first walked through the door. I was greeted by multiple people of his friendly staff. I was able to sit down one on one with the Dr as he examined my dental issues. The time he took made me feel at ease. It wasn't rushed, Pressured nor was I uncomfortable in any way. He answered all my questions and concerns regarding my dental needs. Previous dentists suggested crowns on my front 6 teeth. Some recommended veneers but couldn't provide any before and after pics of the work they have done on prior patients. That had me concerned. Dr Shah recommended veneers and a gingivectomy(laser treatment to raise my gum line to make it even with the other teeth). I spent about an hour with the Dr. He showed me a book of different veneer options. Pictures of before and after of patients he had worked on before. When I left his office, I knew as soon as I walked out, Dr Shah was the Dentist I've been looking for all along! His staff reached out to me a couple days later with the numbers and I said let's do it!! I went in a couple weeks later and we began the process. His staff would text every couple days to see how I was doing and even call to inform me of the status of when the veneers would be done in the lab and if I wanted any changes. I went back in a couple weeks later for the final appointment of cementing in the veneers. My mind was blown with the transformation of my smile. The shade, shape, size are all perfect. No more gaps. No more Gummy smile!! I have had numerous compliments on my smile and its only been 3 days since the last appointment! Im constantly smiling ear to ear!!! To be honest, we have neglected our dental care for awhile, but I had a bad tooth abscess which ended up needing a root canal, and Dr. Shah referred me to the specialist in San Marcos (he is excellent by the way...my first root canal, no pain, good music :) But, that being said, we signed up for the dental plan, which is $55/month per couple (I think it is $35/month for a single person). It covers two cleanings per year (with a $15 co-pay), but also large reductions on other procedures (my root canal was $900). My husband and I have gone in for our cleanings. His was fine, but I have very sensitive teeth, so I had to come back when the Dentist was in the house, so I could be numbed. My hygenist was Sheila and she was AMAZING. She felt so bad about my pain (I was shooting out of the chair), so when I went back today, she numbed me up, they also played good music and I got through with no issues. I do have fear of the dentist, I had some bad experiences, but I am soooo glad I found this place. I read the reviews before I went in, and they were all 5 stars. I will also add that the girl at the front desk is awesome. Kaylie. She always greets me by name, and I have had almost no wait time every time I have had an appointment. Today, I walked in the door, and Sheila was ready for me, even though I was 15 minutes early. I really do not like waiting. So, this is MUCH appreciated! What else can I say? Oh, I had to see Dr. Shah twice, once to recognize the need for my root canal, and then to do the filling after. He also filed down my tooth (it was an eye tooth, so non-weight bearing), but it was longer than the other.......so now I am even! There is no UP SELL here, they just do what you ask. I highly recommend them.. The business is in a converted house, so it has no "Industrial" feel. More like a "Ma and Pa" shop. I like that very much. Oh, and my husband had a cracked crown......he had to have it replaced, and with our insurance, it was half price (can't remember off the top of my head). But, money well spent. A long overdue update.... I have been a patient of Dr. Shah for many, many years and I cannot rave enough about his office. Every staff member is wonderful, especially Brenda and Dr. Shah. Brenda handles all the billing needs so if you have questions about anything, she is your go-to. I truly appreciated the treatment plan I received via email which also showed what my insurance would cover. Dr. Shah also cares for my two kids. Now, this is not one of those crazy pediatric offices, but I have to tell you....I trust Dr. Shah with my kids. My kids love going to the dentist. The office is calm and soothing plus every exam chair/room has a tv in there. What's prompting this updated review? It's simple...I was long overdue for a checkup. Life happens. Kids come first. Well, by the time I finally got in, I was in pain and I knew something was up. During an overdue cleaning, Dr. Shah discovered 5 cavities. Without judgement, he assured me 'we'll get everything back on track". I was really concerned about having all 5 filled at one time, but Dr. Shah assured me it would be fine. A follow up appointment was made, but after I started having more pain, Brenda was able to move up my appointment. Dr. Shah did all the work in an hour and NO pain. I felt nothing...it's true. Nothing. 5 cavities and I felt nothing. Even after the novocaine wore off, no pain. 5 stars! Highly recommended! read more

Recently my tooth chipped while enjoying a piece of Halloween candy. Since it was Thursday night and my dentist was out of the country, I knew I needed to act fast. I texted several friends and within 30 minutes had 5 recommendations - one was Dreamscape Dental. Miraculously, I was able to text that same evening with Brenda, who works at their office. Even though it was after hours, she offered to check my insurance and confirmed an appointment for me the next day at 9:00 am. I could not have hoped for a better outcome. Excellent customer service that went far beyond what is normally expected. And same-day crown service! I was in at 9:00 am and out by noon. I spent about 1 hour and 20 min of that time in their very comfortable waiting room reading leisurely while Dr. Shaw made my crown with his special software and equipment. A crown made at my previous dentist was a two-appointment process. So it was a welcome change to only have to deal once with the numbing injection and drilling and eliminate the need for a temporary crown. Dr. Shah was very gentle in his approach and we discussed my options before proceeding. I was pleased with the entire experience from start to finish - so much that I decided to switch to Dreamscape as my regular dentist. Highly recommend! read more

I found out during Covid that I had a heart condition that required surgery and got some new parts installed. This process took a couple years and a few surgeries to complete. I was advised during this time frame to only have dental care that was an emergency and to push out regular maintenance until it was safe. Fast-forward a couple years and I'm finally cleared for normal cleanings. I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience at Dreamscape Dental. The "texted" appointment scheduling, the liberal use of numbing agents and the very-friendly staff made this experience truly stress-reducing. My Hygienist was very-thorough, made me feel absolutely comfortable & talked me through the entire process. Followed-up the cleaning with a quick filling repair and I was on my way. The Dentist was very-nice and also gave me the gameplan as he worked then took the time to explain some concerns he had seen that we will follow-up with. The office itself is great. I really liked that they had tv's in every room playing "comfort" shows like Seinfeld. They also had some good music piped in as well playing low-volume in the background. This dentist is worth commuting an hour plus for if needed, thankfully I live nearby. My previous dentist would perform routine dental cleaning and stated my teeth were perfect every time. Because my insurance changed I tried Dr. Shah and was extremely impressed with him and his staff. My teeth and gums were no where near perfect. I had receding gums (which I noticed in the mirror after Dr. Shah pointed it out) and bruxism at night. He suggested a night guard and after months of wearing it I can see the dents made on the night guard due to my grinding. My receding gums have stabilized! I also have received other advice and now my gum measurements have improved. His staff is always welcoming and friendly. A big shout out to SHIELA. She is a very thorough dental hygienist and I can easily tell the quality of care I receive from her differs from other hygienist. She actually CARES about your teeth and gums. Was looking for a new dentist around the area so decided to try Dreamscape Dental. First appointment I was told I would need a night guard, a deep cleaning, and had 13 cavities. I decided to go back to my family dentist for a second option. That dentist did their own x-rays and said I had no cavities, but maybe 1 spot to watch and that a night guard and deep cleaning we're not necessary treatments. Since then I have seen another dentist with no diagnosis of cavities. I must add that when I let the Dr. Shah's office know I would need the X-rays they took so I could send them to my family dentist, I received a personal text from Dr. Shah saying that not all the cavities would show in the x-ray. read more

Really sad to be writing this review about Dreamscape but the front desk staff has no regard for patients, specifically Kaylie. My mom has been coming to Dreamscape Dental for years and referred me here after I started experiencing tooth pain. I waited a week after initially requesting an appointment online (it doesn't seem you can call the office to book). When the office finally did reach out to me, it was via text to offer a service I didn't request with only 15 minutes notice. I let them know that wouldn't work for me before they started asking for insurance info. I work during the day and was unable to respond to texts immediately, would've really appreciated a phone call that would have condensed a very simple conversation to 15 minutes rather than days of texting. Kaylie proceeded to double text me about insurance info until I responded, disregarding all my other questions and when I did send my insurance information over? No reply. I waited for days for someone to reach back out and nothing. I texted them again asking if this is how they typically handle new patient appointments and again? No response. Extremely disappointing, I've never had an experience like this anywhere. Had higher hopes of professionalism and care, and unfortunately they lost a long-term patient with a potential new patient. read more

Finally a dentist we enjoy going to! I came across them via our dental insurance network and thought the reviews too good to be true. From the moment we made appointments they have been so great to work with. Making new patient appointments was fast and easy since they were able to do it over text. 7 months of different procedure's and Dreamscape has fixed my teeth .Dr Shah is outstanding and the front desk is great. They do take VA Commuintu care and the front desk is very good with the VA. If you have a dental emergency and have VA Dental you can be seen and have 72 hours to contact VA for what procedure was done. For routine dental after u get your initial exam with VA you can request to be seen at Dreamscape Dental. Dr Shah is a great dentist and will go above and beyond to ensure you get the best dental care. Always made time for me if I had any issues and was very flexible with my schedule. I really great treated great the moment I walk into the office. As a retired veteran I am so greatful that I found a dentist that listens and will ensure you get taken care off. Communication with the staff is unbelievable. I highly recommend this place and for retired veterans that qualify for community care this is the place that will take care of you and ensure you get the results you need. I have never been to a kinder GENTLER dentist. You need to try him out. I've been going to Dr. Shah for over nine years. He only does the work that I need done and can afford. He is so gentle and always make sure I'm comfortable. I don't live close to his office but I would travel hours to see him. I have had horrendous experiences at Dentists, from being charged for things that I did not need to being used as an example of someone with a horrible teeth to another dentist. Dr. Shah told me exactly what I needed done in fact other work that doctors told me had to be done and he told me didn't he has saved me lo ts of money and time. One doctor told me I needed my whole mouth done in implants. Dr. Shaw save me thousands of dollars I have gone to him for over 10 years. Don't go here if you are expecting to be seen by a dentist! First they screwed up on my appointment. When I went in they said I wasn't on their calendar and that their new girl had made my appointment but somehow didn't add me. They booked me another appointment so I returned and got a cleaning and X-rays. So then I was expecting to be examined by the dentist because that's how it usually works, right? Not here! Instead the dental hygienist told me Dr. Shah was out of the office, but would review my X-rays and call me if anything was wrong. Weird. It had been over a year since I'd had my teeth checked and I've never been to the dentist before without actually being examined by one...IN PERSON. The next day I called to see if he had reviewed my X-rays and was told by Brandi that he did and everything looked ok. I told her I had wanted to be examined in person and why was I booked on a day when Dr. Shah was out. She said this is their standard service. I was just here at dreamscape again today for my cleaning and as usual - Anna was amazing as was everyone else at dreamscape.

My wife hated her teeth and feared dentists. She had zoom done at another dentist and tried every whitening product available to no avail. I could rarely get her to smile for photos, so rare I could only find one "before" picture from over a year ago. We went to Dr. Shah at Dreamscape Dental and the experience was wonderful. From Renee in the front office to the assistants and especially Dr. Shah, she was happy and decided to fulfill her dream of getting a Hollywood smile. Dr. Shah was honest and didn't try to sell her a whitening product and told her that her lack of enamel would make it a waste of money. In the end she got 8 veneers and the "test drive" lab created temporaries in her selected color. It took until her late 40's to smile for photos, now I cant get her to stop. She refused to wear red lipstick before, now she's got every shade. He was surprisingly priced lower than I expected and lower than others in the area. Now the whole family goes there and when I call for appointments, Renee treats us like family. Reasonably priced, honest and they never make you feel bad because your teeth aren't perfect, isn't that why you go to a dentist, to fix what you'd like fixed without judgement. I spent half a year looking for the BEST of the best, to do my veneers. I looked on Yelp for the highest reviews. Then I realized, most reviews, were a reflection of the staff or the cleanliness of the establishment. "Friendly staff", "Very clean" - were the typical types of nearly ALL reviews. I was looking FOR QUALITY. I didn't care about how "nice" the staff was, or how "clean" the interior was. I was looking for a dentist to give me an amazing final product and veneers that I've always wanted. I COULD NOT CARE ANY LESS, IF I SHOWED UP TO A RUDE STAFF & LAID IN A FILTHY PUDDLE OF MUD- AS LONG AS THE FINAL PRODUCT WAS OF SUPERIOR QUALITY. When I called Dr. Shah's office, I was very pleased with the lady who I spoke with. She spent about an hour or two helping me by calling multiple different insurance companies to figure out what kind of dental insurance I had. The dental hygienist, the one who prepares your teeth before there dr sees you, was the sweetest thing. He was so thorough and explained what tool he was about to do and the purpose of using each instrument. He kept me in the "know", about what was going on and would continuously apologize for any pain or discomfort when I expressed to him how I felt. He'd then keep reminding me that he was almost done and apologize for the pain again. I could tell it wasn't just a fake apology. I could tell he genuinely, did not want to cause me any discomfort. The actual dentist, I could write a ten page paper on how he blew me out of the water. Completely shattered my expectations. The next day he personally texted me to check in and see how I was feeling. He then text me again once more to check in a few days later. Once my permanent veneers were done being created at the lab and he received them, he contacted me. He sent me a picture and told me that he was not pleased with the final result. He said he was going to send them back and have them completely MAKE NEW ONES. (How lucky did I get?) I could tell that he would not settle for anything less than COMPLETE PERFECTION. And that is e x a c t l y the type of dentist I needed for my veneers. I was nervous when I went in to get the permanent ones put on. I had not seen them yet and was completely terrified. I saved up for a long time in order to have the money to pay for them. These are going to be on my face forever and I knew they had to be perfect. I'm beyond pleased with the staff, dentist and finished product. I said I didn't care about anything but the final finished veneers, which is true. But boy was it refreshing to be treated so royally in the process. Needless to say, I'm switching to him as my new dentist. (I could write so much more, but my fingers hurt. I hate going to the dentist, as a result I waited several years between visits. When Dr. Shah gave me the dreaded news that I had cavities after my cleaning I was terrified. Not only would I need fillings, but I'd need five of them, all in separate parts of my mouth - requiring four needles. I HATE needles and definitely don't want them anywhere near my mouth. However, having just finished my fillings today I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Dr. Shah and his office worked out an option for me to use nitrous oxide to calm my nerves, which is a life-saver and worth every penny if you're extremely anxious when it comes to dental work and needles. Other than a slight pinch one time, I hardly felt the needles (which is saying a lot, considering I needed four and have a very low pain tolerance). The entire staff was patient with me and Dr. Shah even let me use the music he had downloaded on his phone, when I wasn't able to access a signal to stream on mine. Overall, great patient experience and a really nice staff. I came here after a recommendation from a co-worker and now I'll be referring everyone I know as well. read more

I use to pass the practice when going anywhere from my old house and was always curious about going there since it was so close. Then, my co-worker told me she had been going there for 7+ years and loved Dr. Shah. So I tried them out. Love the ease of setting appointments and also, one thing I really love about them is they do appt. confirmations and follow-ups via text. This is a + in by book as I never answer phone calls I don't know and since I don't save my dentists number in my phone, I would miss these calls. I've even set up an appt to get my cavities filled via text message! Text message is fast becoming a primary method of communication and it is great Dr. Shah and staff are keeping up with social changes. I recently got my cavity filled here, and like most people, am extremely afraid of getting work done on my mouth (even cleanings) and Dr. Shaw was quick and efficient. First of all their communication skills are horrible. When you call they do not answer, when they call back it comes from a restricted number. They do have the option of texting but I feel as though that might be worse. I would text two different questions at once and then would just get a yes we can do that as a response most the time. As far as care goes, I have spend so much money on my teeth because there always seem to be a problem. I had received invisalign to close a gap in my front lower teeth. however a couple months in I noticed my gums were receding. I had them removed and had to see a specialist who told me I should have never got them in the first place. Not only do I still have that gap but now I am out $1,000 because they said invisalign could not give me a full refund. As a dentist he should have been aware that I had gum issues and should have recommend to get it checked out before I got them. I know I am stubborn but I am not a dentist and do not appreciate not being told the entire truth about my teeth. Another thing was every time I asked to get a quote it always seem to take a couple of weeks to hear from my insurance. This makes no sense when another dentist I saw had the quote in about 10 minutes. The staff might be nice but I feel as though the patient's well being is not taken into consideration when it comes down to things. I have paid a lot of money to this place and wish I had gone else where to a place that could actually help fix my teeth issues. read more
