They can tailor a workout both to an individual's goals and to any special needs (I'm in my mid-40s and have a few minor injuries). The members are a diverse group, covering performance-minded college students through an older group focused on more basic mobility. I find value and challenge in the interactions with members of such varied backgrounds, abilities, and goals. The gym is clean, but it pretty much ends there for it being a good gym. The equipment is old, cracked and missing pieces so things like the 45lbs plates are rarely 45lbs. You could also pay $10/day, which is then 130% more than a week pass. With other gym options available, like Planet Fitness who actually give you one free day there are other more gyms friendly to out of town guests.

I tried several classes and enjoyed them all so I joined at the Team Training level, which is basically small group personal training. It is more spacious than any other…read moreplanet fitness in this state, the staff always are friendly and courteous, and I've never had anyone attack me like they did at the Iowa City location because they wanted to use equipment I was on, in fact I've never even needed to wait for a machine and usually you can even have a nice amount of space between people. I have the Black Card membership because I travel frequently and it allows me to work out wherever I am, plus use the hydromassage and tanning beds. You can also bring a guest for free with Black Card membership.
