I have done CrossFit for over two years and before that worked out at one of the bigger gyms in North liberty, regularly attending their group fitness classes. I say that to level set my experience. I guess I was expecting more of the pseudo high intensity classes that are offered at the bigger gym. You know what I am talking about. The type of class where more attention is paid to the activewear that someone is wearing as opposed to the actual workout intensity that they are putting forth. Let me tell you. The work out at versa was intense! I can honestly say that it was one of the more high intensity workouts that I have done in a long time. While it did not focus on the weightlifting aspect that I was used to from CrossFit, I found the cardio portion just as intense. Before the work out began I felt there was an adequate amount of time dedicated to stretching and warming up. While the workout was going the instructors were supportive and helpful in their coaching. While I am not a member I would not hesitate to recommend this location to anyone looking for a high-intensity workout.

Yelp had an event with them a couple months ago and I have NEVER been so sore after a workout. But I had also never felt so ACCOMPLISHED. I am a sucker for a runners high -- stress melting away with elation and a decreased ability to feel pain due to the endorphins released after countless miles. But, with Versa. I'll take all the pain for the gain. (Cause trust me... there will be some pain.) After the Yelp event, I wanted to join right then and there. No joke. But with a little still at home and constantly being a mom taxi... plus the gym being ALLLLLL the way across town from me... it's just not in the cards. Yet. Anyways. Imagine my excitement when I saw Versa was offering twice a day classes online during this hot mess? AND that they were free?! Nick, Josh and Ashley are amazing to workout with. So much passion and knowledge. (And did I mention heart? The gym literally loaned almost all of their equipment out to members when this COVID-19 businesses shut them down.) Last night I enjoyed a wonderful kettlebell class with Ashley. We did three sets of four exercises -- four times. What an amazing way to destress as you quarantine! They even have body weight only options for exercises... so no equipment necessary. Thanks, Versa Fitness!

In April 2016 I was introduced to CrossFit and specifically the coaches here. The coaches invest themselves into your training and well being as an athlete. They balance pushing you to do your best with knowing your current limitations. Each workout is tailored to your individual needs and individual coaching is given throughout the entire session. I cannot recommend this box highly enough. Not only are the coaches friendly and welcoming, your fellow box members are also wonderful individuals who cheer and encourage you every session.

It is more spacious than any other…read moreplanet fitness in this state, the staff always are friendly and courteous, and I've never had anyone attack me like they did at the Iowa City location because they wanted to use equipment I was on, in fact I've never even needed to wait for a machine and usually you can even have a nice amount of space between people. I have the Black Card membership because I travel frequently and it allows me to work out wherever I am, plus use the hydromassage and tanning beds. You can also bring a guest for free with Black Card membership.

For $250 your child and 24 of their friends can swim for 90 minutes. Its mostly available on Saturdays in the late afternoon (4pm) or evening (6pm). You swim for 90 minutes then go to a dry area that you're able to decorate to enjoy some good eats, presents and fun. You can make reservations over the phone months in advance. My son raved about the party! Just be warned parking/drop-off can be a bit tricky.

First of all I drove 40 minutes out for the interview and when I got there I was only supposed to coach the warm ups but I decided I'll stay and help out how I could through the whole session. after I was ghosted by the manager/hiring team, not even a text to let me know if I was hired or not or let me know how I performed and also not even a follow up with the owner like the interviewer promised. HE LITERALLY SAID THAT THE OWNER WILL SEND YOU A TEXT AND LET YOU KNOW HOW IT WENT. I can't judge the personal training aspect I still rate it a one star basically a waste of gas, waste of time and left me feeling like maybe I'm not wanted or adequate enough to be a trainer.
