Mauri is absolutely wonderful and welcoming! Just a ray of sunshine. Wesley has been here, different shifts, since we got here, and is helping everyone, and Becky and Melody, they do the breakfast rush! And it is impeccable! They are so happy to accommodate. I can not BELIEVE what a buffet we have had!!! My daughter's room is on the 3rd floor and it is equally nice. The breakfast buffet in the morning is, quite possibly, the BEST and nicest we have seen at a hotel in a LONG time. I can't imagine what else they could do to make it more appealing! The halls are quiet and calm, you can't hear any noise from rooms on either floor. The pool is indoors, and it is clean, doesn't burn your eyes whatsoever, and it doesn't take you out from chemicals when you walk in. The gym is really nice, and I loved having a spot to relax that was just for me. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again. If you are traveling and need a nice, calm, yet fun (pooll and gym) place to stay, I say this is your place! Clean, safe, quiet, without being stiff and rigid, with the best staff at any hotel we have stayed at, in quite a long time.

Her husband Andy, also so lovely, has great stories and made me want to sit and talk to him for days!! :) This place is a gem and MUST VISIT destination. The house is pristine and decorated so beautifully. The hard wood floors are immaculate and the bedrooms are super inviting and cozy. The house is a wonderful place to stay but then you go to breakfast and you are transported to culinary heaven. Chef Sandy is brilliant. Her food is perfection. She makes different dishes each day of your stay based on your preferences she obtains when you book your trip. The food is always fresh, mostly from their own garden. I can't even describe how amazing our whole experience was. The house is located very near many townships but it is so quiet and peaceful tucked away on a nice plot of acreage. The yard is massive and landscaped so beautifully. The minute you arrive, everything is just perfect down to every detail. I recommend booking early and request the bedroom with en suite bathroom. The king size bed is so comfortable and the linens / towels are 5 star hotel quality! The house has a beautiful outdoor deck overlooking the yard with shade cover. I could go on and on but really this was the best hospitality we have ever experienced. 10 out of 10 definitely would recommend!!!

We just booked our third stay at Timmermann House. I'm driving cross country & up until now, have usually stayed at Motel 6's for the $50+ nightly…read moreprice... plus, since I'm leaving early morning each day to drive, I don't need fancy or a fridge, coffee pot or m/w... just clean. But, they've become awful places to stay in the past 2-yrs, mainly due to the types of dicey guests they draw & many are in terrible 'hoods. So, I was on the search for a new hotel & all I've had the displeasure of staying in, in the same price range, are absolutely deplorable... Econolodge, Red Roof Inn, Super 8, Days Inn, Budget Inn... well, all of them. In the times when I've needed to bump up to a $100+ hotel (for a better night's sleep or as nothing else was available), I've always skipped Holiday Inns as I've been to 2 & both were annoying experiences, with extremely rude front desk agents & higher than I wanted to pay prices. But, I needed to get off the road & this was the best of what was offered in the area. I'm glad I stayed, as HI's are my new go-to hotel & I even joined their rewards program for member prices. Pros: * Everything about the room... clean, updated, super comfy bed, central a/c-heat, lots of lights & outlets including a couple of USB ports, fridge, m/w, Keurig with decent coffees & teas, very nice bathroom wall caddy with upscale shampoo, conditioner & body wash, great, forceful showerhead with lots of hot water. * Super Covid clean. Not a speck of dust to be found. I make sure to tip housekeeping well for doing an extra good job. Cons: * Still, true to form, surly front desk agent... why do H Inns hire such strange rangers with dicey customer service skills? But, since I only need to see them upon check in & out, I don't care. * Price... $135 inc tax is a lot to shower, sleep & leave before sun up. * HUGE mounted TV with swivel, but... oddly, their lack of channels was surprising. Just a few & only 2 movie channels... HBO & HBO FAM, I guess, if you'd got kids tagging along. Good to know: * They won't honor any online lower price (they seem to be $20+ more as a walk-in), but will tell you to make an online reservation, if you want it. I don't get it cuz Marriotts & Hyatts often honor the lower prices... but... since I'll be in hotels for the next few weeks & may be staying in HI's for at least 1 of those weeks, I joined their IHG program. They have an app, too, so it's easy. * Even during Covid, they still offer breakfast from 6:30-9:30am... I left before then, so have no idea if they offer their usual hot breakfast or just fruit & packaged muffins. Solid 4* out of 5. -.5* for price & -.5* for the surly front desk.

I stayed for one night earlier this week, as I was in town for a work trip. The room was fine. Bed…read moreis on the firmer side if you like that. Pretty typical room. I just need a place to sleep and shower. The hotel seems to have questionable staff, borderline on the sketchy side. The staff seemed nice in general interactions (during check in/check out). However, someone with key access did attempt to enter my room while I was sleeping. This happened between 10:30 pm-midnight. I woke up with very clear evidence the door had been opened. Definitely ruined sleep for the rest of the night, as you can imagine. I checked out around 6:30 am the following morning. Upon check out, the front desk staff immediately apologized for the "housekeeping trying to access the room this morning". When I said it was not this morning, it was last night, the front staff explained that the housekeeping did not finish cleaning some rooms the night prior and were trying to finish it up. I've stayed in many hotels over the years and have never heard of "housekeeping" cleaning at 11 pm at night. Be very cautious sleeping here. I tried to pick the "best" hotel in the area, and still had an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.
