This is a great place to stay in St. Genevieve Mo. It's an 1880's era building in the historic part of town. Lots of charm. Comfortable and quiet. The owners are wonderful people. Patrick (the owner) made our stay here super great. Started with a little tour around the house, pointing out some interesting facts and telling us more about the art selection. Our room was on the second floor, it had everything you need, the bed was very comfy and had good selection of pillows. Breakfast was really good, made with local ingredients and everything was just delicious, Patrick was around talking to everybody, making introductions and keeping the conversation flowing. There was wine, cheese and crackers at 5pm. We had a good time during one of the happy hours with some friends of Patrick who were visiting and we ended having so many things in common which made the conversation very interesting. Love this place. Have stayed here multiple times and have always been very pleased. It's become like home and they treat you like family. The decor is beautiful and there is such attention to detail. The towels are soft and the bed mattresses and bed sheets are so comfortable. The breakfast is amazing!! Yogurt, homemade bread, quiche, potato casserole, vegetables from their garden, French roast coffee, soothing music. They even have pet friendly rooms with jacuzzi tubs and separate showers. The owner is so friendly and hospitable and has a wealth of knowledge about the town. read more

I am often in Ste Genevieve and if I ever stay over night I always choose to spend my night here. This inn is absolutely fantastic and so beautiful! The first thing I noticed was the decor which is so creative, tasteful and fun! Every time I visit, the inn is always maintained in excellent condition. The whole house and every individual room is so meticulously decorated and you can tell a lot of love and care was put into designing everything in the BnB. The innkeepers are a lovely couple who are very easy to talk to, frequently present and are around to make you feel at home. All staff make an effort to get to know their guests really well. Over the Christmas season, they put up a large Christmas tree in the sitting area which makes the whole inn feel homey, festive and cozy- I could spend all night sitting in front of the fireplace and the tree! They provide breakfast in the morning which is always delicious and plentiful. The blankets and pillows are of high quality- they are thick and plush and so comfortable. The service here is top notch with a true touch of class and is always a very nice experience. Great for all types of travelers/visitors- solo traveling, romantic getaways, girls trips or family getaways. I would definitely come back over and over again! read more

Welcoming from the moment we stepped out of the car. Patrick, the owner, was so engaging and full stories about the home and town. We enjoyed his company and the tour of the home. The amenities were well thought out for couples or friends. We enjoyed a Beautiful patio with a wine reception in the evening. Then we padded out still in Pjs to the coffee cart placed on each floor. My husband and I booked the Rendezvous Room at the Main Street Inn for our wedding night based on reviews from another review site. It was the best B&B stay we've ever had! If you stay here and want a romantic time, definitely book this room. It's like a suite - large and very private. More private than any other B&B room I've ever been in. It's the only room in the wing and shares no walls with other rooms. You walk in and there is a queen sized bed, sitting area, gas fireplace, and a large 2 person jacuzzi tub. They even provide little electric powered candles around the tub! They offer you wine or drinks in the evening and have games, a fridge, and several parlors for your use. Everything is clean and nicely decorated. The owner was very nice in booking the room and accommodated my dietary preferences (vegetarian) for the breakfast, which was very fancy. It was a custard with baked apples and cranberries. Yum! Nestled in downtown Ste. Genevieve, you can walk to a lot of shops & restaurants from here. We plan on going back for our anniversary. The Main Street Inn is an experience! The host, Patrick, is the perfect host with so many facts, stories, and a warm welcome to all guests. The Inn has a welcoming tone set from "hello" and then onward to the history, meeting guests, visiting, and enjoying time together. This gem is wonderful with accommodating and professional staff without any "stuffiness". It felt very much like a place of belonging to enjoy. The food is unreal with the "farm to table" concept served with every breakfast. The wine & cheese hour is a bonus to meet other guests and visit. I just returned from a short visit to Saint Gen. I stayed at the Main St Inn. It was easy to find and is conveniently located in town. What a lovely building and area! Cute as can be bed & breakfast. The owner gives a friendly welcome and a tour/history of the Inn. He showed me to my perfect, cozy room and I was upgraded for free! I stayed on the 3rd floor. The stairs/walk was not that bad. I enjoyed the privacy. Owner recommended Audobons for dinner which I very much enjoyed. I walked around town and bought wine, candies and got a delicious latte/dessert at Stella and Me!! What lovely women who work there. At the Inn, my bed was heavenly and I slept very well. Coffee is conveniently located on each floor. Everything is clean and gorgeously decorated. Breakfast was amazing and they catered to my vegetarian diet. I'll definitely return :) read more

You won't find more gracious hosts anywhere! Both Ken and Karen bend over backwards to make you visit with them a memorable experience. The evening conversations over a few glasses of wine along with meeting new folks was very enjoyable. In the morning you wake up to fresh coffee served just outside your room in anticipation for the scrumptous breakfast to follow in the dining room. This house is beautiful through and through. The decor and charm are very appealing. The room was incredible, quiet and made for a peaceful nights rest. We stayed two nights and were wishing we could continue our stay another day or so ...... Make sure you stop in the studio to admire the interesting work she does with wax .... I was amazed! read more

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast with extremely nice and interesting host (if they have not yet moved to Maine). They have a the largest cat in Ste. Genevieve at 20 lbs. My husband and I went here in 2011 and had the most fabulous time. Ken highlighted a map to show us where the best Winery's were. We stayed out and listened to music in the streets and ended our night talking over a glass of local wine on the porch swing. What a great first for us at a B & B! It was so nice. Sheets and pillows will he hard to match. Breakfast left nothing to the imagination. Yogurt, muffins, ham, veggie quiche the hubby liked, & fried potatoes. Evening offered a wine and cheese happy hour too! Owner greeted us as his wonderful staff quietly served. So great. My girlfriend and I decided to come to Ste. Genevieve for our two year anniversary, and decided to stay here during our stay. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the owner, Karen, who was very friendly and told us about their amenities, asked about if we had any allergies or strong dislikes as it pertained to their breakfast, and gave recommendations about places to see around town. We entered the room and it had all your basic amenities you'd see in a hotel room, cute but minimal décor, a whirlpool tub, and shower (which was a little short and tight but probably works well for an average sized person). The breakfasts here were quite good and the two people who staffed this facility were very welcoming and excellent hosts. My primary complaint about this place was that it does not have central air conditioning, nor do they have AC's in each room. They have a space AC placed in each hallway and a fan in each room, but it was still quite hot; I had to fill the tub with cool water each night to cool down. Overall though, this was a good stay and would strongly consider returning to this B&B when vacationing in Ste. Genevieve. read more

I would not stay here again, the breakfast was bland and the new owner was pushy, nosey and opinionated. On top of that she charged $25 to my card in addition to the price for the room simply because I wasn't out of the room right at 11:00am without telling me she did that. read more
