"For laundry, it's really cool" In my quest to become the Yelper with the most laundry reviews, subsidized by my constant moving apartment in ridiculously short intervals, I stumbled upon this gem. This is an old school place, where most people trace their roots back to the old country (somewhere near Krakow, I'm sure) and perform their own laundry duties each week. I'm a drop off guy and headed straight for the counter. There, I encountered what appeared to be the owner, who was congenial but asked when I needed it straight away. I said tomorrow, which got him into a bit of a kerfuffle, and he replied, "well you need to drop that off by 1 pm normally for that service". But he floated me a grace and said, "well, we'll do it tonight for you, since you are a new customer". Sure enough, the next day I walked in at 10 am the next day and it was done! And a cut above the rest. Not only was it clean and smelling fresh, but my socks were actually matched pretty well. As a bonus, they separated my underwear and socks, encasing them in their own plastic bundle, apart from the rest of my laundry. First time I have seen this done. Bravo! I moved a block away over a year ago. The first week there I came in with 2 bags of laundry and a baby in a stroller. No small task. They were very curt with me. The first thing the owner said to me was, what do want? Not hello or good afternoon. "What do you want?"!!!!! I said I wanted to drop off and he said we don't do children clothing. It's been this way for years. There was a lawsuit. He didn't direct me to another place to go or anything. Just dismissed me. My landlord raised her kids in our apartment. She said she did her washing at that laundry mat. She told me story after story of how easy it is to have it right there on the corner and the owners was sooo nice. It was one of the many stories that sold me on the apartment. But I guess it was just that ....a story. I tried again recently and got an equally curt response. read more

This is a great laundry mat Machines always work , clean and dry efficiently no complaints ever . Establishment is always kept neat and tidy . When you drop off laundry they actually use tide and downy I've never seen that before , I've only see laundry mats use the factory bought ones . Only reason for 4 stars is because I have a new born and they stated they do not fold , baby clothes because it takes up to much time . I hate to write this review because I've been a regular & loyal customer for about 3 years. This is a family owned/run business. The father & son deal with the drop off wash service (weight and bill). The mom wash & folds. The older guy is just not nice, not ever. Most days he is argumentative & aggressive. His son's attitude is not much better. The most unpleasant attitude's I've ever encountered from owners. Every time I go in it's an unpleasant experience. I've put up with such awful customer service for so long because at one time I had left some cash in my laundry & they returned it to me. But I just can't take it anymore. The service is so slow at least 48 or longer turn around on drop off. Today will be the last day that old guy owner will lecture & yell at me about when to drop off my laundry. Con - There aren't many washing machines. The regular-sized ones are $3 a load, but those were all taken. Bigger machines cost $5. Pros - Their dryers are very big and cheap. Drying a full load of laundry, including a coat and jeans, only cost $1. The guy working there yesterday was nice. Their coin machine works really well. It took my crinkly dollars with ease. Lots of counter space if you want to fold your clothes. It's clean and in good repair. read more

This place is so clean! The washers and dryers are nice and quite quick: there's also a lot of seating in here which I love. I've never dropped anything off for wash and fold so I can't comment on that but I really appreciate this place. So many laundromats in NY are filthy and crowded... Dry Cleaning: Terrible!!! They ruined 3 of my items. I brought a coat, wasn't sure what the best way to clean it was, and the gentleman behind the counter said OK, he knew what to do. When I came back to collect it, the coat was faded, washed out. They had washed it rather then dry cleaned in. Ruined forever. That's the thing with cloths. It's not a meal that you can remake when something turned out bad. Damage is done for good. Same with 2 other items. When I pointed it out, the younger guy got aggressive and argumentative as if it was my fault. I was really disappointed. Not just because of the ruined cloths but for the attitude. Never went back to the place. Laundromat: Great, used to go even though it was out of my way. Very clean facilities, good working machines. Don't know about the water situation, haven't gone in a while. read more

I walk past another laundromat to get to this one, and there are probably even more closer. The staff is polite without being overly friendly (which I prefer, really, when someone is handling my underwear) and they can sometimes do amazingly fast turnaround for wash & fold. Machines are big, clean, and well maintained--dryers get hot enough that drying time is cut down, which means saving money. The only downside is that it can get crowded on weekends, but that's to be expected and not worth docking a star in my opinion. Plan around it or drop your clothes off and you'll be good. read more

I hardly ever feel compelled to write a review these days, but I feel so spoilt that this is my local laundromat. So clean, so well looked after. The few times I haven't managed to get back in time before closing my clothes have been in a plastic wash & fold bag in the back for safe keeping. I very seldom write negative reviews but was taken aback by the hostility of the owner/manager. I'm a paying customer handling laundry, both things one would think entitled me to use of the bathroom to wash my hands. The machines and facilities are clean, but the staff is EXTREMELY rude. The things they talk about their customers in Polish (yes, I understand despite the fact that they may think I don't) is horrible. I have been going to this laundromat for several years now. Recently I left some laundry in the dryer and went to do some grocery shopping. I got delayed and when I came back the staff were extremely rude with the boss cursing me out. I've never been treated with such an aggressive attitude in any establishment. I was so disturbed by this incident that I forgot my stroller which I had used to bring the laundry there. When I went to do my laundry the next time I asked about the stroller and this time the boss's son began to shout at me about leaving my laundry in the dryer. He then told me to get the F**k out of his establishment, that he didn't need the business and that he didn't give a sh**t about ass***les like me!! He said that he had thrown over 40 people out of his laundromat. Whoa......talk about being hostile!! The guy denied knowing the whereabouts of my stroller although he did say that he had stored it for a few days. I reckon that his tyrant dad decided to throw it in the garbage!! Nice!! Thank you for your courtesy! There was absolutely no reason to deal with this situation with such an aggressive attitude. It makes me wonder what is is like to be so unhappy? The young guy is obviously following in his father's footsteps. Ugh.... Being helpful, polite and friendly are not things that you will find in abundance here! read more

Finally. A CLEAN laundromat with no mold in the machines, clean floors and surfaces, and clean, comfortable waiting areas. What more could you ask for? It's a family-run place, staff is friendly and helpful, and it's right next to a small gourmet supermarket, a great cafe, an excellent taqueria, and a seamstress. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews of this place. I drop off laundry here twice a month and they almost always get it back to me the same evening. They're meticulously clean and organized and return everything in perfect condition, and their prices are so good! It's a family run business and yeah, the older man can be short sometimes but he's professional and if you're kind to him he'll be kind back. So thankful for this spot! read more

I have to agree wholeheartedly with MJR. While I have not patronized the other laundromat she mentions, I did pass by it and I agree that it seemed dingy and unpleasant. The quarter machine is a godsend, the $3 machine is HUGE, the owners are nice, and the place is clean. And finally, there's a nice place to fold all of your laundry before you schlep it back to your apartment (this is highly important for a fastidious folder such as myself). read more

i've been in brooklyn for 12 years and this is the first reasonably priced dry cleaning i've come across with quality results. they open early for people who work late, and the owners are all super nice/accommodating. they are so aware of their customers, they can literally pick your dry cleaning out of the rack with no number as they know all of the pieces that have come in. great business, thanks! read more
