I am staying at a friends in the area for a couple weeks and needed a drop off laundry place, as I have no patience in waiting a couple hours. I looked this place up (on yelp, of course) and had good reviews, and didn't seem extremely expensive compared to what I see in the Manhattan area. I walked over and dropped off a bag and they weighed it to equal about $27, which wasn't bad at all. I returned the next day and everything was clean and folded. Very nice service as well! I waited two days after carefully making detailed washing instructions and even texting with the service getting a confirmation for pick up on Thursday. If you don't have laundry in your building, you live in the Williamsburg area and are not using Laundry Taxi, I do not know what you are doing. This crew is incredible. I trusted them with my laundry for the three years I was in the area and there were very few mess ups, one mess up occurred and they forgot to deliver half of my laundry one day, they called and texted to apologize and brought it right away. Came here for dry cleaning services. My shirts, dresses, and pants were fine, however each of my delicate pieces I brought were completely destroyed with holes. They did not warn me about the damage and I only realized as I unpackaged each piece. Really upset as each of these are irreplaceable and no warning or compensation was offered after spending +$95 here. I checked all of my pieces before dropping off and know these holes were new. Want to give 5-star because the people in-person are lovely. Lisa is so sweet in particular. I have been using them for almost three years and the laundry is good/consistent, but the service has gone downhill. 1. wait time to get a pick-up and time between pick-up and drop-off if you aren't at home in the middle of the day has gotten too long (~3 days for pickup, 3 more days for the service) and just learned they cut the hours to end at 4pm 2. Used to tell you your total in advance (they keep cards on file so now I have no idea the cost til I look at my bank) and now they don't do that and won't respond if you ask 3. lately have trouble keeping laundry and dry cleaning together/will drop off one and not the other and never follow up about it read more

Very sweet staff. They have a clean laundromat. Recently have switched over to a laundry card format to pay. Two bucks for the card and it's reloadable. Prices are on par with neighboring spots. They also do wash and fold for those busy on the go! read more

This company WAS great, but I think that recently they've been running some kind of scam. They kept insisting my card was declined despite Chase having no log of the transaction at all and the card working for all other transactions but theirs. After being hounded with texts and calls during work, family functions etc., I went early on a Saturday and retrieved cash FROM THE VERY SAME CARD THAT WAS SUPPOSEDLY 'DECLINED.' I'm not sure what's going on, but it's definitely suspect. The texts and calls I received from Lisa (their main point of contact) were extremely rude despite the problem obviously being on their end. If you're concerned about price, don't worry--this compares very favorably to other laundry services that don't do door-to-door pickup and delivery. I couldn't be happier with them. I've consistently been impressed with the level of service and willingness to accommodate my needs. Lisa and Jackie are prompt, personable, and easy to work with. My laundry and dry cleaning always comes back quickly and well-treated, tied up in a ribbon to keep the small things from scattering. Due to the quarantine and lack of washer & dryer in my building, I had several garbage bag worth's of dirty laundry, and the laundry spot I used to frequent was closed. Laundry service is fast and convenient. They coordinate picking up and drop off with you via text. And once they drop off your laundry, you can pay with credit card using their portable card reader. I had a good experience overall, but I think the communication and coordination with the company is rather informal and can be a little too blunt and unclear if you don't ask for confirmation and further details (like date/time they're coming). I have been coming to this business since they were on Metropolitan Ave. My clothes always come back smelling hella fresh and folded neatly. I also really enjoy all of the ladies that work there. They are nice and have a great sense of humor. My only complaint is that I wish the owner would turn on the a/c for the employees that have to work in front of hot dryers all day and for those who are doing their laundry themselves inside. Phenomenal experience- everyone at the company has been so helpful, especially Sal and Lisa. I had just moved to the area and unfortunately the laundromat next door was undergoing construction, and I was in desperate need to wash my stuff with the new work week coming up. This was my first time using Laundry Taxi, and setting up a pick up time/date was very simple using the form online and via text confirmation. My clothes were picked up promptly and were delivered just when I had asked, with the driver's even waiting some extra time for me to get back from work! I do not have the words to describe how much I LOVE this laundromat and how AMAZING they are. You will never find a laundromat so incredible anywhere else. For five years, Sal and the incredibly nice women at Laundry Taxi have taken the utmost care of our clothes. Every single item down to our socks are ALWAYS accounted for, no exceptions. Everything is in perfect shape after years of wash as if I had carefully washed it myself. They are also excellent with special instructions, hang dry, etc. Their dry cleaning service is quick and perfect and their taxi service is terrific. On a personal level, they have also made us feel like we are part of a great community, always friendly and warm. It has made our Williamsburg experience feel like a neighborhood. We are moving and am devastated to not have them nearby. If you are going to a different laundromat in this neighborhood, you are making a serious mistake. I've used this laundry service a handful of times, I recently stopped using it for other reasons, then decided on using them again only to realize how downhill their service has gone. Their employee Jose used to walk up to the door and it was made so easy for me, he was very sweet and it was a pleasure. Now, some other slightly obnoxious lady doesn't even walk it to the door and is never on time! This place really needs to reevaluate their business if they want customers to keep coming. And their prices aren't even that great, I can get amazing service from a place a few blocks down with no inconvenience. Stay clear from here if you can. read more

The Laundry Taxi is by far my favorite laundry service EVER! They're super nice and professional, the clothes come back clean and folded, with a cute bow on top. They coordinate via text which is very convenient. The service is very fast; usually get my laundry back within a day or two. Lisa is really nice and super strong!! I don't know how she carries all three of my bags! The only thing I would change is that maybe they could wrap the clothes in a twine or some sort of string that is more environmentally friendly (instead of the balloon ribbon). But that is so minor that they still get full five stars from me I will continue to use Laundry Taxi for the foreseeable future and continue to recommend to my friends! read more

I never write reviews, but after having one of the most ridiculous iterations with this company, I need to make this does not happen to anyone else. I dropped off in person on a Monday evening and was confirmed to pick up the same Friday. I had a few sweaters, a shirt and pants. When I came on Friday, the male manager claimed that I was lying to them about my delivery confirmation because they misplaced my items. They eventually found my finished pieces, and when I inspected them, I found that a $499 shirt with all all sprinted artwork damaged, numerous holes on armhole and additional brown stains at armhole. The male manager first claimed that I was lying again and that the shirt already had these damages, which it did not as why would I get it cleaned if it had holes! They told me that it was my fault because 'all dry cleaners would have done this' - well guess what honey, my job is literally to write care instructions for clothing and I know this was not the case. They used a cheap toxic cleaner and I now have lost $499 shirt. All they needed to do was cover the decorative trim on front face, and wash the food stain out of the neck hole. After he fought with me, he told me my $40 bill would be free, which is a terrible deal given their damages. After being verbally accosted from this man, who claimed I was lying multiple times to cover up their faulty management, I want to urge you from supporting this business. I will say that all the female workers were lovely and tried to help. DO NOT DO YOUR CLEANING WITH THIS SERVICE, YOU ARE BETTER OFF HAND WASHING AT HOME! read more

Great laundry service! They do a good job with a pretty quick turnaround. They offer different laundry detergents. This is great because we have detergent allergies in my family. All in all, my laundry returned to me as if I washed it myself. It was nicely folded and smelled fantastic. Unfortunately they recently stopped servicing my part of town. They are sorely missed. The laundry itself comes back fine. But their whole system is ridiculous and the customer service is horrendous. You enter all the info online but then you get 50 texts regarding it. But they are always cryptic. For example "instructions please". Another time I got one that just said "bell?". I'm busy and I don't have time to answer these rando texts. They should READ the information people list when filling out the form and not rely on harassing them after the fact. They get confused coming to my very normal doorman building. Then their credit card machine always seems to take 20 minutes to work. One should be able to pay online. I used them a few times hoping they would improve, but I'm moving on. there are too many other options available. read more

I don't live in Williamsburg but I will be using these guys again! The owner came to my door (I live in the Slope - he said the distance was no problem!!) and picked up my laundry personally. He was very nice and went over the preferences I had filled out on my online form with me before taking my laundry. They even picked up my laundry on a holiday! Now that's good service! Can't complain...I mean I apparently had 19 lbs of laundry....usually that costs me $10-15 to lug down the road and do it myself and for delivery it was $22.95. The turnaround was amazing, they picked it up around 7p last night and worked with my schedule and got it to me a little after 9p today. I love LOOOOOOVVVEEEE love these guys. Best laundry service I've used in Williamsburg or Bushwick. I've only used them a couple of times, but so far so great. I give very detailed, pain in the ass instructions and every time my expectations are exceeded. Last time I sent out 28 lbs of laundry had all loads separated by color, dried on low heat, and had ten items hung dry-- it only cost $33 and was delivered back to my doorstep a day and a half after I sent it out. I will say some of the hang dry items came back damp, but that didn't really bother me because they were still on the hangers, not folded damp... so i just hung them in my bathroom to dry. nbd. To the girl who lost her irreplaceable international item, that sucks; like really really sucks. I feel your pain; I do. I lost a vintage tshirt that belonged to my dad to a different laundry service and they wouldn't even return my calls. Laundry taxi has never lost any of my items, but I also don't send out one of a kind, irreplaceable pieces to laundry services anymore because it is devastating if they aren't returned. Really awesome service! I live in Williamsburg on a 4th floor walk up and these guys come haul all my laundry down the stairs and return it perfectly sorted folded and washed! Oh and they come back smelling delicious! I will use them over and over, and have religiously for months. Wouldn't want my delicates handled anywhere else! I like the fact that they text me each time to ask how I want my clothes washed. Sometimes I may want things done differently than the last time or have a new dress that I don't want dried. The process to sign up is completely easy, and painless. Once they have your information on file, everything is done through text to arrange pick up, special instructions, and drop off. They fold your clothes, bundle your delicates, and will even use your own detergent. You can choose to pay cash or credit card, and the prices are the same as the local laundromats in Brooklyn. DO NOT USE. I had them hang dry some stuff for me. They charged me $60 for my laundry, which I'll admit was a lot of laundry, but still. Upon delivery, they forgot the hang dry stuff and had to deliver the next day. I hung the clothes in the bundle they gave me, and when I went to untie the bundle, I realized all the clothes were still wet and at this point, all reeked of mildew. When I called to complain, the manager told me condescendingly "how 99.9% of the customers want the clothes back still wet." Not me. Better off doing it yourself. read more

Not good, not bad. Definitely not terrible. You could do worse, but you could also do a lot better. The Good: They have not lost or destroyed any garments of mine. (I'm sure I've lost a sock here and there, but who hasn't?) If you're comparing/contrasting, they're far better than Fly Cleaners, whose main office and customer care are the Flunked Rodeo Clowns of laundry service. (Note: Fly Cleaners drivers are very nice though. They were the one highlight.) The Eh/Bad: Customer service and pick-up/drop-off correspondence and process are not great. As a customer, you formally schedule a time for pick-up/drop-off. When I've used other laundry services, that typically means the employee arrives w/in the established window and buzzes or sees the door person. With Laundry Taxi, they treat the buzzer as a last resort, and instead send you a series of texts or calls asking if you're home, often well in advance of the scheduled time. (I.e., be prepared to start receiving "Are you home?" texts at 8:30 am, if you have a pick up window of 9-10 am.) At first it's chuckle-worthy-if-weird, then quickly evolves to annoying. The text correspondence with the main office is, again, not terrible, but also not professional. It's a weird thing when you start to take your texts from your laundry service personally because they're a little rude or gruff. The prices appear to have gone up, and I've noticed discrepancies between the amount I've been charged (in lbs) vs the amount it weighs when I place it on a bathroom scale. read more
