The daily round trip for treatments between her home in Longmont and the hospital is 100 miles. My daughter doesn't drive and her loving hubby was burning through his FMLA benefit at work. He had been taking time off of work since the discovery of the tumors in April to take his wife to her numerous (and scary) medical appointments and treatments. When I returned to Chicago, a friend asked if I had researched whether there was any shuttle or transport services similar to what we've seen in our hometown. The next morning, Sunday, I sent an email to a couple transport service companies based in the Boulder/Longmont area looking for resources. Within an hour, Simon, had responded to me and he immediately proposed a transport solution that would support both my daughter's daily medical treatments and her hubby's dwindling benefit days.
