Having a teenager who is driving for the first time is stressful, but honestly Drivers Ed Direct made the process so easy and put our minds at ease. Their website is well laid out, and everything can be done online including signing up for the initial drivers education and scheduling the driving instruction appointments. Upon completion of the drivers ed class, you receive the certificate and a paper that clearly outlines what you need to bring with you to the DMV (no having to go to the dmv website to figure it all out). The behind the wheel training is fantastic! Every instructor shows up on time, in uniform and in either a newer model Lexus or Prius, (made us relax knowing our kids were in very safe cars). They follow a set curriculum to maintain consistency, and the instructors are knowledgeable, professional and personable. Our kids loved each one they had and learned so much- beware your kids will notice (and tell you) everything you do wrong when you are driving. We loved receiving our kids' report the next day with what they worked on, what their strengths were and where they needed more practice. On the last lesson, they give the kids a paper that tells them everything they will need to know for the test, and reminds them what to bring. Customer service is great too. They call to confirm every appointment and remind you to have the permit. Rescheduling is easy. They are also very diligent about maintaining safety for the instructors and kids during COVID. They wipe down the interiors in between each session, take the kid's temperatures, wear masks of course and keep the windows down. And most important, your kids will be confident, well prepared drivers, and the entire process was painless for you! Can't recommend them enough. There was a delay before she could go take the test, but she was able to do as many practice tests online as she wanted beforehand and she passed! I used drivers Ed direct when I was 15-16 years old before I got my license and I had such a pleasant experience. The instructors taught me everything I need to know about driving and how to pass my driving test. They were all super nice and made me feel super relaxed and safe while driving. I had 4 lessons with them and each time I had a different instructor but all four of them were extremely sweet, patient, and just made my learning experience great! I think you can ask for a certain instructor if you would like to but I didn't. I would 100% recommend using drivers Ed direct! Also their customer service is amazing! They are also super sweet and they try their best to find you an appointment that fits to your schedule. Our experience with this company was top notch! My daughter has not yet taken her driver's test, but if she doesn't pass (which she will) it would be my fault for not taking her out to practice. Every time she went out she had a different trainer and each one was incredible with her. After the drive, the trainer explained to mom (me) how the drive went and what her strengths were and what she needed to work on. Within a couple of days I got an email detailed with events of that drive and what number drive that was. I read reviews before booking and paid in advance and I did have to cancel an appointment less than 24 hours notice so I had to pay the fee, but that's part of the deal guys. We know that when we get into it. It sucks when it happens, but it's our issue not theirs and it's part of the contract so stop giving them bad reviews for your screw ups. Also stop giving bad reviews because you aren't taking your kid out to practice. You need to do your part. Your kid can't learn from just the few hours they are with these amazing young people. I have 2 teens and we tried a couple schools in Valencia, CA. Drivers Ed Direct was definitely the best. Both kids said so. We had a few different instructors and all were very good. My son was 18 so didn't technically need the full 6 hours but I highly recommend getting that amount even if you're 18 or over. read more

When I had trouble scheduling the last appointment, Eric took care of it immediately. Just a few months later, I signed up my younger son and I purchased the 10 hour package as that included freeway and canyon lessons. It was a breeze and I had no issues scheduling all of his lessons, even during Covid. The instructors were all great, nice and really helped build both of my boys driving confidence. Used a Groupon and called in to sign up my daughter. My daughter said that the entire website was easy to use and easy to understand. The sign up process was quick and hassle free. Stay away unless you can schedule 3 weeks ahead of time. They have only 1 car on the Westside thus it is impossible to schedule anything inside 2 weeks. We gave up after taking 3 lessons out of the package of 5 I purchased for my daughter. Very disappointed ! UPDATE: Owner was concerned and contacted me. Offered satisfactory alternatives to improve our experience with his firm, which I took him up on and he followed through . These guys are amazing! SO professional. So accommodating! So friendly and patient with my teen driver. I love the way they carry you all the way from Drivers Education to get your permit, through to actual on the road training to get your license. First things first--- our granddaughter passed the DMV driver's test successfully on the first try! She took the 10 hour driving course plus some supplemental driving practice. Every driving instructor was an excellent teacher ( we had five different instructors). The instructors were friendly, patient, on time, and had no trouble establishing rapport with our granddaughter. The office staff was extremely helpful and worked with us when we had scheduling issues. Best Driving School in the area. My oldest daughter chose them for their environmentally consciousness...they use Hybrid cars..fairly new ones, so you know they are safe and clean. My first daughter didn't need the online tests, as she had drivers ed at school, but really learned a great deal from the driving instructors who were always on time, and easy to understand. My youngest daughter just made it through the online training and took several of the practice tests -- passed the written exam with flying colors...now on to the driving. I'm sure she'll do fine. There were a couple of other instructors but he mostly worked with Sean, who was really personable and a perfect fit for him. I always saw their cars with brand stickers all over them driving through my neighborhood, and it worked well for them cause I recalled their name when I was looking for driving lessons. I did a 6 hour driving lesson with another company but wanted more in-depth lessons. So I went onto Drivers Ed Direct's website and saw all that the packages offered and went for their 10 hour lessons. I was so glad to see that they had the option of doing the lessons in an SUV. But I didn't like that I had to pay first and then be able to see time availabilities. I had already purchased the package and then got to know that they didn't have open slots until a month later. Besides that, I was really satisfied with my lessons. I had a different instructor for every lesson (Jen, Alejandra, Jay, Mercedes, and Brian). I personally enjoyed my lessons with Alejandra and Brian. The feedback they gave was practical and helpful in improving you as a driver. Overall, the lessons were pricey but they helped me feel more confident on the road. I especially liked the assessments they sent after each lesson, sharing with you your strengths and areas to improve. read more

We used Drivers Ed Direct for my daughter. She liked all of her instructors, they all gave her helpful tips and she felt comfortable with each of them. Everyone we spoke to was always very helpful, and we ended up adding on the driving test prep lesson where they took her out before her test and then took her to the dmv - highly recommend that! I would not have been able to put her at ease the way they did because I was probably just as nervous as she was. She passed her permit test first time and she passed her driving test, no problem.
