Highly recommend this driving school. Very easy to make an appointment with them. I purchased their 2-hour driving practice + DMV behind-the-wheel test. Come the day of the test, Nik drove to my location on time. Nik was very helpful and detailed. He thought everything about the behind-the-wheel driving test process from A-Z. He emphasized on the things where I needed to improve and do his best to help correct those mistakes. He was very calm while he was observing how you drive so I never felt nervous throughout the practice. Prior to this, I failed the test 5 times. I made an appointment with them and then they cancelled last minute which was stressful for me considering I had a driving test hours before. This is coming from someone who has taken good amount of the driving lessons before from someone else not associated with Nik Driving school and when I say I was terrified of driving I'm not kidding. Nik was so great and diligent in helping me improve my driving and practice for my driving test. I really respected the fact that he was so careful and safe considering the pandemic. He disinfected the entire inside of the car, door handles, his hands, my hands and even the seats. So rare to find people who care this much about doing the right thing. Needless to say, I passed my test with just 2 practice sessions of 2 hours each. And I could not have done it without him. I love Nik Driving School. The people who work there are so nice and accommodating. I've been helping a couple of Ukrainian refugees take driving lessons and their driving test with the DMV. We have changed our pick up location a couple of times and also rescheduled some of our classes but they have been so kind and accommodating every time. The instructor who has been helping us is a very nice woman (I'm so sorry that I don't know her name) and very patient with the refugees who are still learning English while learning to drive. Course does not prepare you for the DMV written test. Even if you ace the practice tests provided through the course, do not expect to pass the DMV exam. You must get the DMV handbook and study it. My son scored in the 90s to 100 on all of the practice tests provided by Nik's and failed the written test. Upon leaving the DMV, the test administer asked how he prepared for the exam. He told her that he took Nik's online drivers ed course. She laughed and handed him the DMV handbook. He studied the handbook and passed after waiting the requisite 8 day period. (Also, strangely, one lesson in the course specifically says that in the US we drive on the left side of the road. Has anyone else caught that mistake?) read more

My son completed 3 driving lessons with Carlos and he learned so much! Carlos was professional, communicative, always on time for the lessons, and overall just very easy to work with. My son felt very comfortable practicing with him and was very grateful to get him for every lesson. As a part of our package, Carlos took my son for his DL exam after he completed all 3 driving lessons and my son passed the exam on first try in about 10 minutes with very few minor mistakes! Nik provides excellent customer service. With only 2 weeks for my daughter to get her license I called around and was most pleased with the professional telephone service and availability to accommodate our timeframe. Based on previous Yelp reviews I asked if Ramesh would be available for the driving lessons and he said yes. He directed us to register online and then call back to schedule the lessons. She had two sessions that week and 1 the next week. Ramesh conducted the first 2 sessions and Nik did the last one. They were on time arriving no more than 2-3 minutes after the scheduled time. My daughter passed her test the first time. They prepared her well for the test. They gave her good instructions. I gave 5 stars because I highly recommend Nik's Driving School. We choose this place for our nephew since it stated that it had a office in Burbank Ca, but after paying $249 we received a text from the company telling us that we would have to pay $51 more because we are 10mins away from Burbank (Shadow Hills). They also told us if we were not willing to pay the difference we would need to call the credit card company ourselves to try to get it refunded. Which I felt was absurd because he's a merchant and should be able to issue a refund! Worst customer service ever! They have fake claims and website is false. I'm literally dealing with a text war with this company! I hope no one ever has to deal with this! read more

Just had my driving lesson with Nik and used the car for my test too. Dealing with Nik was so hassle free. Just call him and let him know of your schedule, pay online and confirm your schedule with him once paid so he can block off date. There were few times he missed my call but he immediately calls back right after. From speaking with Nick, I immediately know he can be trusted and he really has patience (important for beginners, lol). He came to fetch me on time! During the drive, he gives the instructions very clearly, tell you how to position your side mirrors, tells you technique how to manuever and etc etc. He was very calm and gentle that even when you make errors you are not rattled and stressed. He will just point out what you did and how you should do it next time. He has really coached me to pass. Yes! I did pass the driving test -- 1st try!! =) Thanks Nik!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This business practices false advertising. We purchased (and paid for) their 10 hour driving program. We scheduled the first appointment for our daughter. Then, two days later we were contacted and told that instead of $420 we "should have paid" $520. They refused to deliver what we paid for. I demanded a refund. We don't do business with disreputable companies that practice false advertising and try to extort more money from us. read more

i took the 10 hour package for 5 sessions and i successfully got my drivers license !! ms. ramesh is such a kind, funny, and the best driver instructor anyone can ever ask for. she makes u very comfortable, gives you the best advice, and has many years of experience. on the 2 hour session before my 11:40 pm drivers test i was very nervous and i surprisingly had trouble parallel parking, ms. ramesh taught me a different technique and i did it perfectly once she showed me another strategy. i just wanted to say that if u ever pick nik's driving school make sure to request ramesh as your driving instructor she's the best and i would give her 10 stars if that was even possible, 5/5 i recommend. i also wanted to thank ms. ramesh again for being very patient with me, this was such a memorable experience thank you !!! read more

Nah...... I hired them tho teach my son because my neighbor used them and because I'm on a budget we went with them . They're cheaper than the big names driving schools out there. But you get what you pay for!!! Ramesh was my son's instructor. She was friendly and patient but her English is not that great and sometimes it's hard to understand her. Same thing with the guy that answers the phone. Their cars are OLDER!! And they always took my son on the same route, all 3 lessons. I do not recommend them!! I'd say pay a little more and go with a better driving school. read more

They are disorganized, undependable and miss their scheduled appointment times and don't show up or even call to reschedule. Then, they do not take responsibility for their errors but try to blame the customer. This happened a few times. We had to arrange to be home early from work to watch the 2 year old grand child so mom can take these classes so it really inconvenienced us all with their umprofessionalism. We ended up paying over $700 and we did not receive all the services they advertised. The idiots switched cars on my daughter at the DMV driving test because the car my daughter had trained in was "in the shop". The vehicle they brought was much different and she wasn't sure where some things were in the car. Now, she has to take the test again and these jerks want to charge for the car again. Don't ever hire this company. Just the worst. read more

Very frustrated with this driving school. Had to get lessons for my daughter - 3 lessons of 2 hours each. What they didn't tell you is that you have six months to do it. We did the first two lessons, and when we went to register for the final lesson, they said sorry, even though we were only a few days late. It's fine to hold to policy, but this was never communicated to us so we could plan and anticipate it. Most other driving schools get that families have busy lives and lessons are not always finished in 6 months, so they give you a little leeway. The lessons seem fine - always meet at the same place, and they're not great about helping you find them in that parking lot, but it works out fine. Very disappointing communication and, while one of the cheaper ones, they maximize their dollar instead of being customer friendly. I recommend against. We went elsewhere for our final lesson because they were unwilling to work with us. read more
