I took my license test here. The instructor made me cry. He was very rude, unprofessional, and negative.

I had the best experience at this tag agency getting my Real ID. Karina was super friendly,…read morehelpful, and efficient. I walked in and only waited about 5 minutes before being helped, and the whole process was done in less than 15 minutes. By far the smoothest and most pleasant tag agency visit I've ever had. I'll definitely be making this my go-to agency from now on. Highly recommend for renewals or Real IDs!

Drivers License Exam Station - Front view of the Edmond DPS. Yes, it's still open! IDK why Yelp shows them as closed!

This place is beyond the pale...By far the worst DMV/drivers licensing office I have ever had the…read moredispleasure of visiting. Wait time is 3 hours in a small room packed with narrow, uncomfortable chairs. No television playing news, no elevator music overhead. Just mind-numbing silence with all of the other cattle. AND they couldn't be bothered enough to disinfect the vision test machine during the coronavirus outbreak!

Like others have said, some of the people that work here are very nice. The district manager is…read morevery friendly and helpful. The guys working behind the desks were good too. The guy that came in to tell everyone that they'd have to get new numbers, since their system was down, was pretty crappy. Very bossy and sarcastic. He either really hates his job, or he was picked on in school. The inefficiency is almost indescribable, but I'll give it a go. We got there at 7:00 AM this morning. There was already a sign on the (down) kiosk that said there would be a 6-hour wait. I found that hard to believe. I mean, I've sat in the DPS waiting room before, but am normally out in a couple of hours. Nope, these guys were almost spot on. 5 1/2 hours later, we got called and taken care of. Out of 5 windows, there were only 2-3 being worked (mostly 2). The "bossy/sarcastic guy" even laughed when someone joked about the long wait. He said that it didn't bother him at all, but couldn't say the same for everyone having to wait. I was able to use this experience to teach my oldest son about how freaking incompetent and inefficient government-run entities are. They have a monopoly on licensing, can treat people like crap if they choose, and can take their own sweet time. If you've been there all day, and it gets to be their closing time, they're happy to tell you that you can come back the following morning and try again. The only way around this is to pay them to reserve an appointment, which is 3-4 weeks out at the earliest. Let me get this straight.....you have to PAY them, on top of what you already pay them with your tax dollars, to reserve a spot. How about hiring more people? How about reviewing the existing processes (clearly broken)? While these complaints tend to be the norm for most DPS/DMV offices, add in the "Edmond attitude" (everyone outside of Edmond knows what I'm talking about) to this place, and you've got the perfect combination for a miserable day. Your tax dollars at work!

Oklahoma Department of Public Safety - Good luck getting someone to answer here. On hold for an hour and 20 minutes and still nobody answered. Completely ridiculous.

Please take notes from Indiana. We went to this location after having a horrific experience at the location off I-240. Avoid the pain and don't go to that one, but this one instead. We were at the counter within 25 minutes of getting our tickets at the door. The girls were sarcastic, which I very much enjoy. My husband walked up after the other agent's client walked away and the four of us had a pleasant transaction. It was pretty quick and painless. We then sat down for a couple of minutes before being called up to pay. There was a computer issue that slowed down that process, but she was very pleasant as well. I will definitely go back to that location if I have to make another trip to the license branch.

I was on hold for FOUR hours and once someone answer was told I should have push 2 instead of 1 for the information I was seeking. Instead of transferring me I had to call back and select 2. Right now I have been on hold now for THREE hours and they are about to closed. I have moved back to Texas so no way I can go to the office in person and take another day off from work for nothing. This is so so unprofessional to be an government office. Wish I didn't have to give any stars because they do not deserve that. As an veteran of the US Army this office really make the State looks bad. If I knew who was over it I would call them, but no one would answer. SHUT IT DOWN. So sorry!
