Drone Doctor took payment for an item they did not have in stock. Further more, they lied to me every time I spoke with them. I called immediately to ensure the item was in stock before placing the order. Was told yes and that it would ship in 48 hours. 5 days later, no updates. I called and was told "There are other orders in front of yours but it will be processed by the end of the week". Another week went by, no updates and order still not shipped. Lied to again and told it would be out by the following week. Eventually communication stopped altogether and no refund was issued. This company took over $1,000 of my money and delivered no product. Quoted me 2 weeks for a drone repair (broken arm) in mid October. Just got my drone back yesterday and one of my batteries is gone. Don't spend your money here. The they couldn't even repair it so they had to send it to DJI to do it but ended up getting a new drone since he" couldn't snap casing back on" I could have done that myself and saved a month and a half!! Additionally, they charge an extra 100 on pickup without explanation. I just wanted to be done dealing with this mess. Useless, unorganized, no communication. This definitely isn't the place for getting work done. Your better off going directly through your Manufacturer. See the other reviews that clearly aren't employees trying to shine up the business. And the "media manager/ technician" that replied to this likes making dramatic stories up. No police were called and no insults were given. Just asked about if they could check around for the battery and they immediately said it was sent as is. They stole a previous clients memory card according to a review here. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! ZERO STARS if I could. I believe what this guy did is equivalent to STEALING MY DRONE!!! I brought my DJI Mavic Pro Drone in for repairs of May 2024. This guys was dishonest and deceptive from the start. I had a broken arm and damaged gimbal from a crash. It began with him taking several weeks to attempt to repair the drone saying "he needed a gimbal sent all the way from china." He never updated me once on the status of my drone, it was always me calling and checking on the repairs. After several weeks when the drone was finally "ready" and I already paid $250, the drone was still not functioning properly. It would not fly at all and there was an error message when I turned it on. He then told me he needed to "send it to the nearest DJI repair shop in LA to get it fixed." After several more weeks of waiting, I'm told I would need a new motherboard and that it would be an additional $600 on top of the $250 I already paid. I had enough and requested to get my drone sent back to me. Several more weeks go by and I never hear back from this guy. I reach out to the number on my receipt and I come to find out that the shop closed/moved locations and that this guy took all the equipment with him. After finally tracking this guy down, he tells me several conflicting stories. First, he says "the old company was sold and he doesn't have any affiliation with them." He then says "all equipment was left at the store." He then says "all equipment was sent to a refurbishing center." He changed his story several times. When I find out where he reopened his new location, I continue my attempt to track down my drone and equipment. I tell him I'm coming to get my equipment back (my carrying bag, 2 spare batteries, SD card) he continues to tell conflicting stories and obfuscate, then flees before I arrive instead of giving back my equipment. He leaves his new unsuspecting new employee to deal with the mess even though she has no idea what's going on. To top it off, he messages me saying "I was harassing his employee" (I was nothing but nice to her knowing she has nothing to do with this) and that he would call the police. He hides behind the statement on the receipt saying equipment left after 30 days can be claimed by the store but fails to acknowledge that they do not tell you when your equipment is ready or where it is. I feel this guy is a complete and total scam. I should've done my homework before bringing by drone to him in the first place. Based on other reviews this guys has a history of being deceptive and dishonest and his business practices may be why he had to close up shop and relocate in the first place. ZERO stars. Now I have to go the legal route to relocate and attempt to obtain my equipment back if he hasn't already sold it to another unsuspecting customer. BUYER BEWARE!!! I feel TOTALLY SCAMMED. Called ahead to be sure they could repair mavic air 2 gimbal due to it acting erratic after new ribbon replaced. They confirmed they could, brought it in and after three weeks of no calls or emails, I called them. They said they were replacing the ribbon and it would be here tomorrow. No phone call or updates after one week. I called back and they said they are waiting for the new ribbon. I said that I was told it would arrive last week, she had no news and no tracking information. It has been now 5 weeks and I got a phone call to say it was ready. I went in two days later because I was out of town and picked it up. They asked, don't you want it repaired? I laughed and said you already called me to say it was repaired. They said, oh yeah, it's ready. I could not test because there was no technician. Got home and tested once batteries were charged. There was absolutely nothing done and was in the same state as when I dropped off 5 weeks ago. I called in and they said sorry, the tech is out of town for a week. I explained I needed it in three days for an event out of town and it's been 5 weeks. They said sorry, but when he returns he can help. So no, after paying the $55 diagnostic fee and waiting 5 weeks, I have not changed my situation. And now am out of a drone for my event, have to wait another week, which will be about 7 weeks from dropping it off and paying, just to get it diagnosed. If they cannot repair within 2 days of dropping off again, I will need to get my money back and write another review about the horrible customer service, waste of time and waste of money. Go with fixacrash.com for your drone repair because you will end up wasting time and losing money with drone doctor. Update, got my drone back only because I never got a promised phone call back, information, update, nothing and just went and picked it up! Tech said when I just showed up that it's a$129 to fix, 4 weeks. I said no thanks, got home to inspect the drone and the brand new yaw arm, that I replaced before bringing to them over 7 weeks ago was completely broken, missing a screw on the bottom plate and foam motor guard nowhere to be located. I am returning in the next few days to demand my part back that they switched out, the screw and guard. Really hoping somebody would have called, returned a call, an email or responded to this review during the last 7 weeks, but nothing. They can check all their videos of me arriving, and history with their crappy service and see they are at fault 1000000% and have zero integrity. Hoping a manager or somebody with responsibility will speak with me. But based on all my experiences, I won't hold my breathe. read more
