I want to start this review by saying that this is not intended to come across as hate toward Droopy's, especially not the owners, because they have always been a pleasure. I've been going to Droopy's for a while now and have always loved it, but I wanted to share an experience I had tonight because it was disappointing. My friend and I went to the snowball stand a little before 8:30 PM. The line was only to the fence, so we waited around 10 minutes before ordering at the window. I ordered a small Droopy and a small chocolate stuffed. The line behind us continued to grow, but it wasn't unusually long. As we waited, people who had ordered after us began receiving their snowballs before we did. At first, I didn't think much of it because that can happen from time to time. However, when the entire line behind us had received their orders and we still hadn't gotten ours, I started to become frustrated. After waiting more than 20 minutes and seeing that there was no longer anyone in line, I politely went to the window and asked if our order had been forgotten. The girl at the window didn't say anything, made a face, and walked off. When she came back, she told me they had just started working on our order. I understand that mistakes happen, but an apology or acknowledgment would have been appreciated. We finally received our snowballs about 10 minutes later. The only thing said to us was a very monotone, "Sorry for the wait." I completely understand that employees can get overwhelmed during a busy rush, but it wasn't busy at that point, and no customer should have to wait that long only to feel dismissed when asking a simple question about their order. I'm not writing this to be hateful or dramatic because I understand that things happen. It was simply a frustrating experience, and I believe the situation could have been handled much better. I will still return to Droopy's because I've had many positive experiences there, but I hope the way the window operates improves. I truly love this place and wish the best for the owners and everyone who works there. read more

Omg this is probably one of my favorite deserts I've ever had. It does not even seem like it's a snowball. I got the Cookie Monster snowball. It was their original droopy flavor, stuffed with vanilla ice cream and topped with whipped cream and Oreos. Wowwwwwww! The "droopy" flavor really is hard to explain, but it's so delicious. We stood in line for about 20 minutes. It was raining, but they had umbrellas at the front so I was able to shield myself from the rain. Really really really loveeeee this snowball. You 100% have to go just to experience it for yourself. The line is worth it. read more

We had to try Droopy's since it has such great social media posts. We went on Saturday around 5 and we had to wait approximately 30 minutes. The line was not as long as we've seen so I'm sure the wait time is longer. A great thing is that they supply large umbrellas to hold for shade. We all had different flavors and we all liked them. Their ice is super soft which I loved. I also liked that they weren't overly sweet. However, on the same note, I could barely taste Vanilla in my husband's Orchid Vanilla. The sizes are nice for the prices and there are a lot of flavors and different creative treats to choose from! My rating is 4 stars because it didn't make sense that they serve and take orders from the same small window. While I was placing my order, the girl was taking it, yelling at the workers what she was still waiting for and handing out other people's orders. read more

I've seen the hype over Droopy's Snowballs all over TikTok for the last year but never visited because I just didn't want to deal with standing in what people say is a 30 - 45 min wait in line. Until yesterday, we decided to make the hour drive over to the stand. We hit the jackpot with the line because literally no one was there but it was only an hour after they opened. We ordered two snowballs. Droopy, and ice cream cream flavors. I gave my review two stars because they have really smooth ice but I'd give them zero stars for flavor. Neither snowball flavor was good. Especially the obviously over hyped droopy. I genuinely felt stupid for driving an hour over there after the fact! I'll never cheat on my favorite local snowball stand here in Mandeville again. Lesson learned! read more

Wow, Droopy's is a must! This hidden gem is located in Harahan and serves ice cream, snowballs, and milkshakes. It is cash only and the line can be long, but it is worth the wait! I ordered the Cookie Monster milkshake and it was delicious! I will definitely be back to try more! read more

We went here and got 6 snoballs/ice cream concoctions. Two of them were the smores ice cream sundae and the kids liked them, one was a cookies and cream milkshake which they said was just a regular shake, I got a salted caramel shake and only had a few sips and thought it was just a regular caramel shake. Our youngest got the droppy snoball and liked it. Overall it was nice to try a different place. If you're coming here please note it is cash only, we had to leave and get cash. read more

Best snowball stand in the area. I ordered the chocolate with condensed milk bmt. Bottom middle top. That means they'll pit condensed milk on the bottom, middle, and top. And boy do they! They submerge your snowball with syrup and whatever else you add. They have ice cream you can swirl. They have a huge menu and so many different flavors. I am so very happy that my friend told me about this place or else I may never have visited since it is a little out of the way. The staff are friendly and perfect. Highly recommend. Went on a Wednesday and it was our second time. The first time was right after Covid and they have grown so much since. They had a bit of a line but it moved pretty quickly. Droppy's is one of my favorite snoball stands! Their flavors and options are amazing and they deliver every single time! We recently went and my girls decided to get milkshakes, the Cookie Monster and Cookies & Cream. I got the Pina Coloda/Raspberry with condensed Milk BMT (on the bottom, middle, and top, YES, 3 layers!!), with cherries and coconut flakes. We also got the nachos with peppers. Talk about a well kept secret. If it wasn't for family I wouldn't have known about this place. Droopy's is a local legend that has made a long awaited return. It's a fantastic snowball. For me, a great snowball has to have smooth ice that doesn't dry out quick and great flavors. These elements make the best snowballs in my opinion. I'm happy to report the legend is real because Droopy's delivers on both of these fronts. They have shakes too, when I went they had the cookie monster. Try the Droopy! It's a mystery flavor. The best snowball I've ever had was at Droopy's!! I got the cream, which was explained to me as being made with evaporated milk. Of course, I also got the condensed milk added as well. It was the creamiest snowball I've ever had - it almost tasted like ice cream.
