For alterations, as a person who came from a tailor family, I would say the zipper alterations is just ok, the zipper was supposed to be changed to a new zipper, but instead the seamstress that this dry cleaner has just sewn to cover the broken part and shortened the zipper up making it somewhat hard to wear, so I would say that's a cheat way to fix the zipper not the legit way. On another occasion, I think I accidentally first paid in cash and then paid using a debit card on another day for the same items. When I asked the guy at the register to check if I had paid twice for the same items, he said he could look at the recording from the camera to check if I had indeed paid in cash. When I asked to see the recording, he said he didn't have it. He further went onto argue with me and was extremely rude, unpleasant and unprofessional. If my review can effect a change in their customer service for the better, then I would consider it worth my time writing it. This place is a magical land where all of your stains disappear…read more I don't know how they do it. One time I brought them a garment without even knowing what I got on it. They said to me- (verbatim) "hopefully it's just oil" Absurd?! Does nothing scare them?! What kind of sorcery are they doing here? I don't know, but in 11 years they've never even blinked an eye at the superfluous amount of random drinks and food I've spilled on myself. I ended up moving far away, and I still drive almost an hour just to get my clothes done here because simply put- they are the best. We now have the freedom to buy what we want and actually wear it without the fear of ruining it. This spot is in a very busy shopping center. They usually do a good job when I drop off my items…read more(slacks, dress shirts and polos usually). Sometimes the owner is there but usually it's the hard working ladies who are around when I come by. The place has racks full of cloths so it's very popular in the East Meadow area. Everyone is usually friendly. I'm not big on chit chat myself so I understand that after letting them know what needs to be done with my clothes I get a ticket and leave. The clothing is always ready when they say it is. Most recently I have noticed that some of my shirts have gotten mysterious holes and cuts. I went to take the plastic off a shirt to wear for work and there was a tear on the lower sleeve. And when I went for my most recent pick up they point to a fresh tear/cut. They tell me they cannot clean the shirt because it was damaged (of course they minus the shirts off the bill) but I know that the shirts were fine when I brought them in. The cuts/tears look to be made by something sharp like scissors or a blade and is closer to the wrist and forearm. The most movement and wear and tear usually occurs near the elbow area naturally. I'm not sure how they process the clothes or where they are stored before dry cleaning. One of my favorite button shirts was ruined and the lady joked how possibly it can be turned into a short sleeve. This establishment seems very good for alterations and patchwork and my polos are still in tact. I may have to look for another place for my dress shirts, pants and button downs to be dry cleaned. I cannot fathom anything happening to any of my suit jackets or blazers...
