    Fish sandwich
    Warren R.

When I walked into this place, I felt unwelcome. The cook had a look of discuss or something on his face, like he didn't want us there, it was very uncomfortable. Me and my buddy sat at the bar and there was no service at all. I asked for a menue and they told me it was over by the cash register so I got up and got my own menu which I thought was weird. The menu itself was very limited probably because it was before lunch but not a whole lot to choose from. There was some appetizers on the top of the menu everything I wanted from that section I was told they didn't have that. So I ordered a fish sandwich but I was curious about what kind of fish it was and the girl at the cash register didn't even know nor did she ask the cook to find out what kind of fish it was. It was all so strange. I ordered the fish sandwich anyways and some chicken noodle soup. As food the fish sandwich it was pretty good, I enjoyed it but as for the chicken noodle soup, that tasted like it came straight out of a can you buy at the supermarket. My buddy hade the Philly cheese steak sandwich and that was pretty good as well. Everything there comes in packaging as if it was all take out which was odd to me as well because I didn't say " to go please ". All in all I would say I you're in the area give this place a try but don't go out of your way to go there.

Chicken Kabob over rice with a salad and white sauce

Sorry there isn't too much to see from the salad. It was great food. I was looking g for this place for over a year when a co-worker told me about it. It's reasonably priced and the food is amazing today I ordered the chicken Kabob over rice and a salad (which was fresh) it was a great light environment. The chicken had a little spice to it which was a pleasant surprise. The salad was composed of lettuce, tomato, cucumber and feta. I love that elements were added to the salad and not just lettuce.

Excellent and affordable cafe styled restaurant. Healthy options for breakfast and lunch mixed with a adequate coffee menu. A must try if you're driving to/from jersey city and Newark.

Personally, I can't see where the big hype comes from,as ,I found the coffee to be overpriced ,and ,especially, for the amount given. The coffee was ok, but, the price was a bit too much. The staff members were nice and there is ,also, a small backyard area ,where we took our dog too, which was nice, but honestly, there are cafes with better scenery around, as ,the backyard... looked very messy and just have a view of walls, really.Of course, to each their own, but I rather, at least have a good view of something when I'm out trying to enjoy a nice coffee. I haven't been back and don't plan on it. Just giving my Own honest opinion of my own experience. If you are driving, parking is hard to find, as West Side is always a busy street. However, I would suggest giving this place a try as maybe your taste and experience may be different than mine but I honestly didn't enjoy it and won't be going back.

The family that owns the store is extremely nice and also serves with a smile. I have seen first hand numerous times where customers were rude and ignorant to the owners and despite that fact, the owners continues to serve them and serve with a smile. To the comments about the temperature, if you want your drink extra hot, you should say extra hot but then know that if you burn yourself, don't go crying about it and attempt to sue over it. Clearly, these other reviewers, don't know the many lawsuits that occurred over people suing for being burned with hot coffee. There are guidelines on the temperature of drinks for precisely that reason. Regarding the prices, you can't compare gourmet coffee, expresso and premium ingredients with Dunkin Donuts on Route 440. You get what you pay for. If you can't afford a nice cup of coffee, then go stick with the standard Dunkin Donuts. The Coffee Beanery's prices should be compared to Starbucks or Oren's or any of the other high end coffee shops. To that end, Coffee Beanery's prices are far less than those other establishments. If you want quality coffee, kind service and all at an affordable price and conveniently located, you should visit the Coffee Beanery.

Unfortunately, Cozy Cup was one of the more disappointing experiences. The biggest issue for me was the customer service. When you walk into a small business, especially one that only has one other customer inside, being acknowledged matters. Even a simple "hey, we'll be right with you" changes the entire experience. That never happened, and it immediately set the tone. I still wanted to give the place a fair shot, so I ordered multiple items, including the Spanish latte, to really get an overview of what they offer. The drinks and food were just underwhelming overall and did not match the expectations I had based on the atmosphere and reviews. I genuinely wanted to enjoy this place because I love supporting local coffee shops, but the combination of poor customer experience and average food/drinks made it hard to justify returning.
