He always does an amazing job, even when I walk in with only a vague idea of what I want, and somehow manages to work incredibly quickly without sacrificing quality. It honestly makes me so upset that I had such a poor experience, I love the drybar in WeHo in la but this was just awful. My stylist, Gotertiy, unfortunately, didn't listen to anything that I had said. she also has clearly never worked with a client with bangs because I actually had to blow dry my own bangs in her Salon chair- which should've been an indication to walk out. Had gotten my hair done and asked for big bouncy blow out with small brush pinned curls. Every time it has always looked amazing with any stylist. Today I went in and clarified I didn't want a iron used on my hair, and she only shampooed my hair once I still have hair oil in my scalp close to my neck, when she took down the pin curls my hair was flat completely then asked if she could use a iron. So I was just already unhappy with the turnout. Had to have somebody else step in and this is the final result after, but did not get a apology and still paid full price, which I work in retail and I do think if a customer is leaving slightly unhappy and having to spend more time for it to be redone there should be some sort of compensation! I want to start by saying that the team working when I visited was absolutely amazing! I went to Drybar on my birthday (02/11) for a bouncy blowout and was really looking forward to the experience, especially since I had never had my hair done at a salon before. The wash was great, and the service was phenomenal, but unfortunately, the final result was disappointing. Minimal to no product was used, there was a lack of volume, and the technique didn't meet my expectations. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but for $55, I was hoping for a higher-quality outcome. I would love the opportunity to try again with a different stylist in hopes of having a more positive experience and updating my review accordingly. First off I'm always a little nervous booking appointments because I have SO MUCH hair but. Boy lemmmmie tell you! I can't remember the name of the lady who gave me the head massage/wash. (She was nice and sweet and that massage was THE BOMB) but what I can tell you is Miss Alex put in WORK HUNNY! If zero stars were available, that's what I would choose. Coming from a licensed cosmetologist whose had multiple blowouts over the years, I can officially say this is the worse one I've ever had. The woman I had, was using a temperature at 387 degrees. I have very fine hair, you don't even cook chicken at that temperature!!!!! I recently visited the new DryBar location in Tempe by ASU and was pleasantly surprised by how easy the whole appointment was! I had won some gift certificates for blowouts over the summer from a Yelp and DryBar giveaway, so I came up to have my hair styled for a photoshoot. I've never been one to get my hair done, so I always feel a little hesitant going to these kinds of places. But, the check-in attendant and stylist were both really kind and accommodating. I have really thin hair that just does not hold any kind of curl or style for more than a few hours. We decided on the Cosmo-Tai style to give a little more volume and curl. Because, I don't have tons of hair to work with, I was in and out within about 35 minutes, even with the shampoo. It looked fantastic when I left and the curl managed to stay put for about 6 more hours. I know that is part of the vibe they are cultivating, but having the music blaring can make it hard to communicate with your stylist. Apart from the music being a little too loud for my taste, I really had a great experience here and, if I lived in the area, I'd be back regularly! Quite possibly the worst blowout I've ever gotten. Curly hair girls beware. My blowout loooked good for maybe an hour before it was frizzy and puffy. Today is day two and it is just unsalvageable. This location is horrible. I booked my daughter a dry styling appointment for 230 on today's date. She also wanted a small side braid and because there is no option on their website to click for a dry styling and braid I added that she wanted a small braid in the comments section. This is the way that we have always done it for the other locations and have never had a single issue. My daughter arrived around 210, since she got off of work early and they started her at 215. My daughter texted me upset that the stylist was extremely rude to her and told her that they were too slammed to do a tiny side braid. She said their app was terrible and she recommended just coming in to book. I've never had an issue with the SanTan Gilbert location in the app. My daughter called me at 230, and was already done. She has long thick hair and they finished curling her hair in 15 min? Major eye roll. I had called into the location and apparently it doesn't actually ring in to the storefront, it's a central number, and they were confused as to why they wouldn't have been able to do a small braid quickly either and said they would message the location. At this point, I asked my daughter to put someone on the phone. The girl who did her hair and was extremely rude identified herself as Gabriella and claimed she was a store manager. She was also very rude to myself and claimed I was lying about adding the braid in the comments section. What a ridiculous statement. She said they were too busy and down a girl and when I said a dry style in and of itself is scheduled for 30 min. They started my daughter at 215 for her 230 appt and she was done at 230. When I told her this she just continued to be rude. I told her that I was on the app at that exact moment and could schedule another dry styling appointment at 3:15 or 330 so why couldn't someone add this TINY braid?? She had no reply. I have never had someone be so condescending and rude in a service industry. My daughter left in tears for her sorority formal. As she was walking out, another employee named Cammy (sp?) saved the day. Someone like her should be the manager and represent the company. She had my daughter come back in and calm down and told her she knew how stressful important events like that could be and that she would braid her hair. She even did a much more intricate braid style than what my daughter was asking the other stylist for. What a class act! So Cammy gets 5+ stars for saving the day and the actual location and Gabriela get 1 because zilch isn't an option. Drybar should teach Gabriela some people skills and maybe tell her not to trash your website/app. read more

So I came for my 30th birthday and let's just say I won't be back. Worst shampoo experience I've ever had in a salon. The shampoo didn't even sud since my stylist (I don't remember her name) barely even touched my head. I asked her not to condition since my hair falls out of a curl if it's too heavy with products- she did it anyways. I asked for big, voluminous curls and she gave me tight ringlets that she didn't even comb out. They all fell out by the time I arrived at the location of my party. Let's just say I was more than disappointed. Someone contacted me since I took the survey and offered me a free service. I told her I would prefer a refund since I only get my hair done for special occasions. She told me no problem, she just needed to talk to her supervisor. Another person reached out, the client relations manager, and offered me the free service again. I explained the whole situation to her, again, asked for the refund and she basically told me no because they don't offer refunds. $60 down the drain for nothing. Dry bar get yourself a new client relations manager; one who actually can do something and wants to make it right. I won't be back because of how this whole thing was handled and I was not impressed with their services and I definitely won't recommend to anyone either. read more

Nice clean establishment but the girl doing my hair had no idea what she was doing, I get blow outs weekly and I'm on vacation here visiting, so I decided to check it out, considering this is a franchise I would think they would teach their workers how to properly do a blow out, she didn't even know how to wrap my air around with the round brush, she would finish a section and it was still wet, my hair wasn't even soft and bouncy after, just horrible, also my usual blow out lasts me 4 days and I live in a very high humid climate, less than 24 hours after getting my blow out here I already need to wash my hair. read more

Awful experience. To start the receptionist called me in the morning and asked if I could come in 30 minutes before my appointment time so "they would not be rushed & time would permit". Therefor I came in at 5:45 and was not seated until 6:15... 30 minutes later. Second I explained to the stylist that I wanted blown our curls and left with straight hair with a few waves. Not to mention the stylist was in a complete rush tugging my head, then asked another stylist to help so she could leave on time. The most unprofessional stylist I have ever seen.
