I have lived in our home for 3 years now, with 4 kids, and 3 dogs our carpet is well used. We have used other companies with our rental properties but nothing compares to dryex. During the selling process of our home the buyer requested the carpets be cleaned. We set up an appointment to have Mike come by on 8/22. I was out of town, but requested he contact either my husband or my realtor to clear the quote prior to receiving services. On 8/18 my realtor was contacted and asked if Mike could stop by earlier. It was not made clear that by earlier he meant that day (8/18). Services were completed without any discussion or agreement to a quote. According to my Ring doorbell Mike arrived at 11:04 am and left at 12:16 pm. The total cost of the services completed were more than my husband, realtor, and I would have agreed to pay for. Due the fact that we were not offered a quote prior to services completed, we did not have the opportunity to deny services. On 8/20, my husband stopped by our unoccupied home to discover that the door had been left unlocked by Mike. Our realtor had left a lock box with our key and provided Mike with the access code to unlock and lock our door. This means our home was left unlocked, while unoccupied to 2 full days. Upon discussion, our realtor contacted Mike to discuss our displeasure with the way services were completed without a quote agreement and that our front door to our home was left unlocked. We felt that we should have been offered some sort of price reduction off of the cost of the services completed without our consent and for our home being left unsecured. These guys are professionals! My dog urinated upstairs on the carpet, so my wife and I did our best with store bought products to get the odor out but were weary of how clean it was because our 1 year old baby girl plays on that carpet. Mike came over with his son took a look at the carpet and said that I had done enough with the store bought stuff to get rid of the odor, they could've been dishonest and charged me for the spot treatment. These guys are awesome!!! Michael and his son are professional, efficient, friendly, and helpful. I was amazed at what an excellent job they did on our carpets, which are frequently traumatized by cats, dog, demented elders, teenage boys, and sloppy middle-aged eaters (that's me). Did I mention our carpets are white? Sigh. Well, it didn't take Dryex very long to get them clean, spotless, and smell-free, and all for a very fair price. I was also glad that they carefully moved the furniture to clean and moved it back when they are done, which makes it very hassle-free. I also got a lot of great information about what to do and what not to do the next time I spill something on the floor (which will not be long, I assure you). I called Mike on a Tuesday evening with an emergency, and he had an appointment the next day, but came after working most of the day. We have a beautiful thick pile bedroom carpet, with a thick pad. I didn't realize that all that material wouldn't dry well. I shampooed the carpet myself for its first shampooing, after 4 years of our pets loving our carpet too. I put down too much water to get rid of the cleaner and the odor. And the carpet wouldn't dry. After 2 days of heat and 3 fans, it smelled like mold. I called 3 carpet cleaners and all 3 said the same thing - the carpet is ruined! If you can smell mold, it can't be saved and you're gonna have to replace it. Crap! This was the most expensive carpet I've ever owned! The 3rd person I talked to said, "If anyone can save the carpet it would be Mike at Dryex. He knows more about carpet than anyone in this area." When Mike came he showed us he really did know a lot. He couldn't make any guarantees, but it really worked. He had to heavily treat it, so we had to stay outside in our RV for two nights because of the odor, but he SAVED our carpet that everyone else said was a lost cause. It did take a while for the smell of the cleaner to subside, but I don't care. Mike is truly an expert and has the know-how to make a miracle. Mike isn't a bargain. But I do feel he must be the best in Olympia. As for us, he saved us at least $5,000! read more

We had these folks clean our hand tufted wool oriental living room rug and two matching hall runners. These kinds of items are all taken to their shop for cleaning, so they pick them up from your home and deliver them when the job is done. The owner, Mike, was diligent about getting back to us and letting us know when necessity put an appointment back by an hour or so. He was very informative about the process when he came to the house to inspect the rugs and give us an estimate. He said that it would take a week to get the job done at a minimum and that it might be a week longer depending on other work load. He actually got the rugs back right on time with his minimum estimate. The rugs were much improved by the cleaning, the colors bright and new looking again, with no trace of cleaning agent scent. He and his son, Hunter, put the rugs down exactly where they had been when they were picked up, moving heavy furniture to do so. Overall, a really professional job by a really professional firm. Scheduled cleaning by calling the number from their site. Appeared to go to the owners cell phone, who was on his way to a job. After trying to coordinate a cleaning, he asked to call me back once he got to his next site. A few minutes later he did call me back, and we were able to exchange information, he gave me a rough estimate, and we scheduled a date/time 2 weeks later. The day of, Mike and his son, showed up at our arranged time, and asked how he could help. I walked them through the rooms/areas I needed cleaned, and they did their laser measuring. Prior to this, I had cleared out the areas, and left minimal furniture in the rooms. This was a personal choice, as it gave my wife and I a chance to clean the rooms as well. Because there were so few items in the room, Mike gave us a discount for, "vacancy", since he and his son only had to move a bed and crib from one side of a room to another. This brought the final tally down quite a bit, well below what I was given as an estimate. Once done, I was given the opportunity to walk through the areas prior to their leaving. The carpets were wet, but I was assured it would dry in a little over a day, which was accurate, and that I could walk on it while it dried (w/ clean feet/shoes). Additionally, there was no residue feeling as Mike had stated earlier as well. Overall, the cleaning was great, they did a fine job. I felt that the pricing, and description of work was clear, and he also provided additional information as far as recommended care and regular maintenance. I can't compare them quality or price wise to others in the area, but I think taking into consideration that the rooms were cleared, and applying a discount without me asking was a great customer service experience. read more

Awful service. Completely unprofessional - Yelled at his son in front of me and was a plain bully. Do not recommend this guy especially if you are a woman. He and his son forced his way into my home and cleaned the carpets without my permission even though I was there telling him I did not want them cleaned that day. I finally have to pay this guy after refusing but I guess he did do the work even though I asked him not to do it. Here is my story, I called for an estimate, he said he'd come out. When he got to my house with his son he gave me an estimate and I stated ok, let's schedule something for after my payday. He said he doesn't do that, if he comes out and does an estimate he does the work period. I said that isn't what your ad says and you didn't say that when we spoke on the phone (while we are talking his son is moving things out of my house without my permission). I say I cannot have you do this today, first I have to wait until payday, second, I have to get to work, we are in the middle of an audit, and third, I am watching a friends dogs so I have no where to put them and having those dogs is why I wanted to get the carpet cleaned so it would make sense to do it after they leave. His response well, this is my policy, if I'm here I'm doing the work period, you can pay me on your payday, you can leave for work and we will make sure the dogs are locked up when we leave. Ok, well that's all fine and dandy but you're son has already left the fence open 3 times when I've asked him to shut it behind him and I've had to chase the dogs down the street, clearly you aren't paying attention, I'm not going to come home from work and have the dogs missing because I am 100% positive that would've happened. I got written up at work for missing a critical meeting and lost my quarterly bonus. I refused to pay him, he took me to small claims court, the hearing date was when I was on vacation so now I have no choice but to pay him - but please if this helps anyone who is just looking for an estimate - this is definitely not the guy you call - He will bully his way into your home and do the cleaning even if you refuse. read more

This was what I considered a tough job! My husband and I and our 6 young children have worn this carpet out over the last 5 years! Pets as well. We thought we were getting rid of the carpet when we moved out and our landlords moved home. It turns out it wasn't the case. Panic! :-) So I knew I couldn't simply rent a carpet cleaner from Home Depot or something to do a quality/sufficient job. I took a lot of time to research every carpet cleaning company in our area. There is zero doubt in my mind that Dryex was the best when you compared the facts and experience to anybody else. Our carpet is 5 years old and some of the stains are 5 years old too. I knew it would be impossible for it to be renewed to immaculate/new condition but coming home to see what they did definitely exceeded my expectations! The quality difference is night and day. To my surprise, almost every stain was gone... and the ones I knew would be permanent were drastically faded. He was very upfront before hand what he felt the expectations were for our carpet and I think he was able to exceed them. I appreciated that carpet smelled great, and it was light and fluffy to walk on... which has not been the case for a long time! I appreciated that Mike was always prompt to immediately return any phone calls and also texts easily, which I find very convenient. He was on time. He is very efficient. Although initially very responsive and professional in communications, the day of the cleaning I was asked to be home earlier than the scheduled appointment. I complied, then Mike was about an hour late (right @ our originally scheduled time). Instead of taking responsibility or providing a small credit for the inconvenience, I got excuses (personal pet peeve). The carpet cleaning was good, but the $$ was over THREE TIMES what we normally pay (almost $300 for 3 bedrooms). I won't use Dryex again. read more

I was not impressed with their professionalism or their service however they did respond quickly to calls. The father and son bickered in my presence and when they spoke with me about my questions and concerns, they talked down to me as if I was dumb. When they had to move furniture and items to reinstall the rug, they referred to my possessions as "crap". They cleaned my oriental wool rug, but when they reinstalled it, I could see clouds of dust and debris rising up in the air, so I was pretty surprised by the amount of dust and dirt still left in the rug. They offered a service called mold resist and I asked for the MSDS sheet on the product. They said they would email it to me, but merely called me on the day that the carpet was to be delivered assuring me that it was "safe". I declined the service since I could not review the safety information and was never given a copy of the information. The owner expressed dismay when I declined the mold resist treatment because he had gone "to a lot of trouble" to find the information. This is information he should have available if he is selling the service to customers. My conclusion after using them once is that I will not call them again for any of their services. read more

Let's start with the 'pet spots'. I told Michael about them, he assured me that the hot water extraction method would remove pet spots. Why did he then try to get me to pay for additional cleaning of 'hot spots', which were caused by pets? Without the additional 'hot spot' cleaning, Michael wouldn't guarantee the work...and I thought it smelled like a 'bait and switch' tactic. Michael said the pet spots would 'wick' back (I assume he meant the process would not remove the spots), then why didn't he tell me when I called for info and mentioned the pet spots? And the truck parking? I suppose I should have known they would block the driveway, but I didn't...and Michael never mentioned it...and we had to cancel a medical appointment. Not major, but still, annoying. On the plus side, he and Hunter, his son, were quick and polite. We only had two small bedrooms that have carpets and the beds were put back properly. read more

Dryex is the worst carpet cleaning service (any service) we have ever paid for. The owner told us how big and powerful his machine was, how it is the biggest and most powerful in the market, how nothing can clean better, how his service is the greatest, etc. We tried it and were completely unsatisfied. The owner is apparently more experienced working with businesses than he is with individuals and their homes and spent more time arguing with us then he did cleaning our carpet. The cleaning was not at all thorough and the expensive machinery meant nothing because we later found out that it wasn't used correctly. The owner cleaned our carpet with a wand and also used a "claw" in some areas. The claw was also used incorrectly because not enough (or too much) solution was used in those areas and he did not give the solution enough time to sit prior to sucking it up with the wand (we called the manufacturer for the appropriate directions). He also did not start in one spot and move away from the edge of the room, so he walked over the carpet he just cleaned with his shoes. If you want horrible carpet cleaning service and if you want to invite an argumentative, egotistical, unprofessional maniac in your home, go with Dryex. read more
