I turned again to YELP to locate a company to remediate the results and find the cause or source of the problem. Alan's Restoration had the highest number of 5-star reviews so I took a chance and contacted them - now wary of the highly rated YELP reviews. Turns out this outfit is worth their 5-stars - and then some. EXCELLENT customer service including accurate and frequent communication, fast response, quick turnaround, friendly people and most important - when a substantial problem (that they did not create) developed during the project - they came back after completion and corrected it the next day. And I'm sure it was probably at their expense. Not many companies like this around anymore. I know that for sure from nearly 70 years of experience with 50 in project management. It's a real crap shoot these days when contracting with anyone on YELP or pretty much anywhere else, as I unfortunately found out with that cable company that caused this entire problem. So, I could not rate this company any higher and I recommend them more than any other I've dealt with in many decades. They yanked my bacon outa' the frying pan on this one.

This is a long overdue review. I used their services back in spring of 2023. This was after I had…read morecalled several other companies which didn't call me back and one sent someone but they just looked at it and never contacted us again, and another never showed up. I read lots of amazing reviews on Mundae and requested a service. They were so responsive and talked me through the process. It wasn't long before someone came out to take several tests that consist of an air sample outside and inside and an actual sample of the mold, and a walk around to see if they spot more mold anywhere else. The report came back quick and scheduling of the mold remediation was quick. 3 workers were sent and it took half a day total since it was just our upstairs that needed it. Everyone we encountered was friendly, kind, and informative. Responsive whether it was text, phone call, or email. Appreciate the speediness in which the issue was resolved and felt very pleased with the service. Also I can report back that since then no more mold has appeared. I highly recommend them and have their info saved in case I need them in the future but honestly I hope I really don't.

Despite it being 10 pm, he was in full uniform, wore shoe covers, gave his business card etc. which was utmost professional. He identified that it was a small leak in the roof that was making its way into the attic and drywall and what we really needed was a roofer and not a restoration expert or a plumber. So all we did was to put a bucket to collect the dripping water where Nadir identified it. We got the roof taken care of later, but Nadir refused to accept any payment of any sort (we even offered to Venmo him) despite it being afterhours and without him we would've stressed all of Christmas and holidays. The damage from the fire itself was isolated to one area, but smoke filled our entire house. When Chris told us all of the work it was going to take to repair our home and belongings, we thought he was crazy. How could a relatively small fire cause so much damage? We ended up going with a different contractor who didn't take such a radical approach in the beginning. It turns out that Chris was correct. All the work he mentioned did need to happen to our home.
