Asked the owner for an appointment to get an estimate on smaller repair. He said take a picture and he could give me a quote from that which I did. Quote was sent via text. Asked for a written estimate for insurance purposes as this was part of a larger claim. Next thing I know I have some other guy interested in the job texting me. Sent a text to Drywall Perfection again inquiring about this other guy. Was told that he gave my number to this other guy because he was busy with other jobs and that he would send a written estimate to me. Never heard from him again. My advice: keep looking. read more

Contacted the owner about getting an estimate for popcorn ceiling removal.Was told he would come by at the end of the day to look at the job.He never showed. Talked to him the next day, said he would try to come by at the end of the work day and if he could not make it he would come by later during the week. Never showed again. Our garage ceiling was starting to sag. Bill came out right away (over the holiday break!) and fixed it in one day. He removed the popcorn coating and reinforced the entire garage ceiling. Bill is a nice guy who is knowledgeable about his craft. His prices are fair, too. His work is in high demand, so be patient when you are waiting for a response, and treat him well if you are lucky enough to have him take on your job. If you send him measurements along with pictures of the space, he will give you the quote through Yelp, saving the step of a trip for the estimate. I asked Bill for an early start when they removed the popcorn ceilings in my new (to me) house. When I showed up at the house at 5:55am, they were already there and had their equipment neatly lined up at the front door to go to work. Bill and I walked through the house to survey the work they'd be doing, and by the time we were done 10 minutes later, his crew had one room completely taped off and had started on the second. They don't waste any time getting it done. My "complaint"? Bill's attention to detail ended up causing them to finish an hour later than he originally estimated. I went back the next day after everything had dried and it's perfect. You can't even tell where the old swamp cooler vents were at because the drywall repair job is so perfect. It's a 50 year old house in need of some updating and when the next round of drywall work comes up with the remodeling project, I won't hesitate to call Bill and his crew first. Also, I had my doubts that their "no mess method" was really going to be no mess. Popcorn ceilings are an awful, messy job by their nature. But - it really is no mess.
