UPDATED Review: The team reached out to me previously and offered to fix the issues. In our conversation, Rubi assured me that they will fix whatever is wrong with the project. I was hesitant because she said that one day would be enough to do it. When Gilbert arrived, he was by himself (unlike previously when he had an assistant) and said he would take care of the issues. I asked him if he can sand and stain the areas instead of painting in one day and he said it would take more than a day to do that. Given other circumstances, I really needed to reclaim the room that was being worked on and more than a couple of days of renos is something I couldn't do anymore. So I reached a compromise of him smoothing out some of the surfaces and painting instead of staining. Not what I wanted 100% but it is growing on me. I want to highlight that Rubi and Gilbert are genuinely nice people that would be willing to work with you regarding your project. Generally speaking, closing the loop in communication probably would have prevented mishaps. I can't give the 5 stars just because it is not what I had envisioned, but had the circumstances had been different and I had the ability to give their team more time to do exactly what I wanted, I truly believe they would have delivered a 5-star service.
