They keep most of their furniture outside because the store is rather small. So at any time of day, you can drive by really slow and see what they have sitting outside. I usually see a few couches, tables, chairs, bed frames... and since I'm always looking for wooden furniture to refinish- it's a gold mine! As for the clothing selection, it seems like an average thrift store type of selection. And the parking lot can be rather challenging. It's small, gravel, and on Saturdays can get tricky to park in it. But as I said - gold mine for fresh selections of furniture every few days and fun knick knacks. Plus the proceeds go to support Camp Wartburg (an awesome Christian Camp for kiddos). I love bringing my donations here too.

Some items still have store tags attached. I have purchased four hand made baby quilts over the years. (donated by a church) I enjoy making donations and then finding something I can't live without! The people have been working there for years and are so very nice. Generally there is a "free" cart outside which may have toys, books or other interesting items. This is one of my favorite thrift stores. It is not fancy, but small and comfortable while looking to update items. This is the best place to buy table cloths, shower curtains and place mats.....check it out.

While the candy isn't a penny anymore some of the candy really took me back. Candy Cigarettes anyone? Sweet Sweet Lady! The new owner is the polar opposite She was the rudest person I have met in Sainte Genevieve so far. OMG ! We tried talking with her and she literally just stared at us. So Rude. Everyone in the group noticed We kicked ourselves for spending our money in there. The candy is Stale, Marshmallow candy was rock hard, Just about broke a tooth on the Malt Balls SAD! Think twice before going in here She is not appreciative of the customers that come in and spend money in the shop. In reading all of the negative comments about Sweet Things it looks like everyone who goes in and gives negative reviews have dealt with the Owner that runs and operates this business, so it is her they are reviewing as being poor customer service.
