This place is ok in terms of selection and pricing. I think DSW needs to have better pricing if they want to compete with the Dillards Clearance Outlet nearby. I remember when DSW used to do specialized clearance depending on the price tag color. Now it's a blanket 30% off which isn't a good deal at all. It's rather shocking to me that they price mostly mediocre shoes at such high prices. They did have some decent running shoes (Brooks) but otherwise, nothing worth the price tag. DSW, here's the thing: If you need a specific shoe for a specific occasion- you can always find something here that will work. And even if you are like me and ABSOLUTELY do NOT need new kicks, you can also always find something here. On this day it was a cute pair of super marked down Charles David heals with a sweet 3D flower on there (In black of course). $20 including clearance markdown, I could not say no. I brought them to the register and they were ringing up at like $30. But DSW doe NOT play, they honor their prices, and I got them for $20. (A long time ago something like this happened and they didn't have the correct coupon code - so I kid you not - I got the shoes for less than $4. I still have those shoes and get compliments on them every time I wear them. read more

The selection here is not great. Sizes and designs are not available. The service is average. Inspite of the large store, there is good reason why people prefer to order online. The advantage of going in store is to look for the design and colors you prefer but you cannot try the size you need unless you are lucky. Check online for availability before you go to the store. @DSW DO BETTER!!! This store has HORRIBLE customer service. Me, my husband and 3 kids went on Thursday June 11th 2026 around 530pm. We have a vacation coming up and needed some sandals. We always come to this location for shoes but not anymore. My husband went to go look around and I was left with my 3 kiddos. My two oldest went to look at something leaving me with the wild one year old. He just started walking and got into the sunglasses (like little kids do) he dropped 2 pair on the floor. Shortly (like 2 seconds later) my husband comes back as he walking up to me an employee in blue jean shorts and short hair (we were told her name is Chelsea) tries to get by my husband very politely moves out of her way in which she responds with an attitude "aren't you going to pick those up" he responds "yes I was letting you by first" she kinda laughs and walks away. I get frustrated and say "he was going to pick those up he was trying to be nice and let you pass first" in which she responds "sure I thought you were just going to leave it there" (again with attitude) I said " no he wasn't you don't have to be rude about it" she just said "ok" I then proceeded to ask for corporates number in which I was told it isn't corporate or franchise I was given a 1800dsw number. This was an EXTREMELY unpleasant experience and we will no longer be spending our money at this location. I have been in customer service for over 20 yrs and this is very uncalled for. Came here to pick up an online order which was super convenient. Before I could even pull up my order receipt, a staff member was coming up and asking if I was picking up an online order! I was both impressed and marginally freaked out. He asked me for my name and the brand name of the shoes I ordered and he had my purchases out to me in less than three minutes. I tried them on in store, and only returned one pair and kept the rest. Apparently they dont put the final charge through on your account until you verify what you are keeping from your purchase which is convenient. And I didnt have to schlep a pair of shoes around in my car for weeks until I finally returned them. Service was quick and easy, and I love the way the store is laid out with the shoes displayed and all the sizes they have immediately below it. It just made the shopping experience a lot easier as a result. I will definitely be coming back! I found a pair of chuck Connors for $12 and a pair of Adidas sneakers for $20!! Before you go to other shoe stores check out DSW! At this specific store there is a great variety of shoes at regular and clearance prices. I love that this store is easy to navigate and just browse. I feel like I can take my time and there is no pressure to grab something quickly and make a decision right away. The staff is always available, helpful, and honest. Also, I love that if something is not available in the store, but it is online they will order it and ship it you for free. We looked at three different pairs, all from different makers, and all three were very poorly made, with lots of "pleather". Very little real leather in them, if any at all. This is probably my ultimate favorite shoe store. If you sign up for their membership you get $10+ coupons to use for future purchases. Their clearance section is always great to start off with. Sometimes I come in and see shoes that go into the clearance section within even 3 weeks! The staff is also very friendly here and can assist if you need any help with anything. Even the regular priced items are priced very well, considering it being designer brands. I came in today to do a return for 4 shoes I bought online! I didn't get any attitude from the sales rep that I was returning a purchase that's so high! So I really love shoes and DSW is one of my go to places, and this location is by far the one with the biggest selection compared to the one in Highland Village and the one at Golden Triangle Mall. The place is almost always fairly busy yet the shoes are always all neat and tidy and they have it organized so you can shop by types of shoes. The employees are all so friendly and willing to help you any way they can. They have tons of great deals and if you have an account with them you can earn points and get rewards on your birthday. Who doesn't love shoe shopping? I love shoes, always on the hunt for the cute, unique, sexy, athletic, flat or tower-esque option that I must have. DSW is one of the best shoe shops in the area. DSW is huge, awesome, and more like shoe heaven!! DSW has a very nice selection of shoes, especially they are great for wedding shoes, boots and booties, and athletic options. I personally have a 50/50 shopping experience when looking for sandals or heels though. It is more like a hit or miss sometimes. Price is the deal. Keep it in mind, the best time to shop is at the end of the season with all the discounts you can walk out with 5 pair of shoes for about $100. The sale section is huge, but not a lot of options for me there, lets just say there's a reason those a lot of those pairs can't be sold at the original retail price. Staffs here are very nice and helpful. That always makes me happy :) Overall, I love coming here. I will be coming back next time I need a new pair of shoes for sure. read more

I'm one of those people who is addicted to good shoes. I'll freely admit that I'm that asshole who side eyes shoes under $100. Not on other people, mind you....but when shopping for myself. Down whatever isle I'm in and up again. Strut strut strut...Beyoncé doesn't even know ..... This particular DSW has a sprinkling of the designers I love. Chinese Laundry, Vince Camuto....the occasional Michael Kors that succeeds in turning my eyes. I came in yesterday to pick up a pair of shoes I'd called ahead about the day before. When I called, the woman in the phone was really kind and sweet. I thought for sure, all they wouldn't have had to do was look up in some database of inventory if they had the shoes in the size I was requesting. But apparently, they went and physically hunted those shoes down. It took a while, but I'm not complaining. I was sitting on my ass, netflixin' and chillin' while it was happening. The next day, I came in and there was the sweetest guy working behind the counter. He had cute little locks and a generally warm energy. Mind you, I'm stoic AF...so I'm sure while he was thinking ..."damn, heifer, can you smile once?"....I was thinking..."I really like this cat, he made my experience shopping here." Well, I'm actually not a huge shoe person, so I'm grateful when I get to a shoe store and am left to just browse if I want to - and then have extremely helpful staff available when I want them. This store does a great balance of that. There always seems to be someone available, but they don't badger you. The deals on the sales rack are awesome here too, and the prices are quite reasonable on the regular priced shoes as well. What really through it over the top though was I fell in LOVE with a pair of shoes. They didn't have my size, and the lady really went out of her way trying to find it. She spent a good half hour searching databases to see if this shoe was available - in any other store, online, anywhere that could be shipped, even sister-sites trying to find this shoe. DSW carries a nice stock of size 11, and I normally see at least 4-6 good pairs of size 12. That's awesome, because I haven't found other fashionable shoe stores that carry cute shoes in my size. I shop in at least 4 DSWs in town. I am also a rewards member and love receiving my $10 off every month or so. I can't count how many times we've bought great shoes under $5 and $10. I purchased a pair of Clark's shoes and wanted to get both Black and Brown which was not in stock (in my size). DSW tried two separate times to ship the color they were initially out of and both times the shoes arrived scratched! The first pair arrived with multiple scratches on the left shoe, the second pair arrived with a 1" scratched area on the top of the right shoe. This resulted in me making now my THIRD trip to DSW. I asked, could I get a discount on these as they are, the manager was called over and offers me a 10% discount which equalled $7 and change. I politely replied how about 25 % (nope), 20% (still no-go). Now, I wasn't going to pay full price for brand new shoes that arrived two times already scratched! Mind you this is now my third trip to get the shoe in the color I wanted and you're going to take $7 off for my time? No thanks, you can keep them and I'm pretty sure they will be restocked at the back of the store in the SALE section. read more

I went yesterday to the Lewisville store and spent around $200 and forgot a coupon at home. The cashier stated I could bring the coupon and they would honor it. I went today with the receipt and the coupon. The cashier called another lady I imagine the manager since she never identified herself. She first asked if I had the shoes. I said no that they had not told me that. Then she said that they do not honor because it says it does not apply to previous purchases. I was confused and asked again and she said no they would not honor it. Never provided an apology for the misinformation. She is a blonde lady with no respect for customers. They have lots of shoes however nothing for big and tall. Only a very few size 13 or larger and almost nothing Wide or EW in 13 or larger and they do not carry anything in EEE range. We visited this location and several others. The employees were not helpful in trying to find something that would work. If you wear a 12 of smaller you will likely find some options. read more
