I'm writing this review during the Covid-19 pandemic. My review might be skewed during this unusual time but here's my experience... I understand each business that opens during The Coronavirus has certain rules they must follow but DSW by FAR has the strictest, most unusual social distancing of any store I have been in. There were arrows tapped to the floor and you could only go ONE WAY down the rows. Also, there was only ONE CUSTOMER allowed per aisle. AND no trying on shoes in the aisles. I came in just to check out the clearance rack for a pair of shoes for my husband. Just getting to the back was hectic and a bit stressful. Then I went to check out some clearance shoes for myself and OOOPS! I went the wrong way down a ONE WAY aisle. (Luckily I didn't get busted!) Some positives were that there were very few customers in the store and that the staff were friendly. I did end up finding my husband a pair of sneakers on clearance! I'll have to come back once the virus is over. It wasn't an enjoyable shopping experience with all the precautions this store is taking. read more

I hate when they tell me they can't sell me any shoes, and Don't Say Why. But then that's why they're called Don't Say Why Designer Shoe Warehouse. This is my favorite DSW location because it's usually packed full of stuff and with hardly any people. So I tend to come to it whenever I get the chance because I will usually find a pair of shoes that I like and I'm pretty picky about it. My favorite so far of the DSW locations, and shoe stores in general, and Barbie is the one that brought me here and I appreciate it. read more

I love me some shoes and I wanted a fresh pair for a night out on the town. I looked online prior just to peep the selection. I saw what I wanted. My mistake was not checking if this store had the particular pair I wanted. I wouldn't come here again only because the men's section was severely lacking in inventory. Whatever they had displayed is all they have and there were many a pair with not many size options other than what was on display. A lot of the displays were missing too. Customers service sucks here. I rather just shop online. One bad experience is enough.

The service in the store leaves a lot to be desired. Each time I've gone in recently, I encounter long check-out times, with one person checking out customers (all customers with issues, of course, taking up a lot of time) and a second employee at the checkout area but refusing to get on another register and get those of us waiting checked out. I have walked out the the store twice without a purchase due to this issue. Also, the employees are not informed well of their own policy/ procedure. I tried to purchase an item that was $49.96 before taxes using the promotion that says $10 off of total sale of $49 before taxes. When I did get to the register, the promotion was not honored. The sales associate called someone in the back of the store who told her that the item had to be $49.99. But that's not what was advertised. The email that sent me specifically said $49.00 (with the .00 after the $49 showing on the email). They still would not honor the purchase with the promotion. I walked out without purchasing the shoes. I called their 1-800 number and was told that the reason why the promotion was not being honored was because of the brand, not the price. So I felt like the employees in the store were just making up excuses, instead of giving me the correct information. The lady on the phone said that she would give me the promotion, got my card info, and a few hours later, cancelled the purchase without an explanation. Sadly this store is not what it used to be. Not even their shoes. Last week I bought a pair of black Jessica Simpson pumps and they chip right the first hour while walk-in indoors (carpet flooring) and today I went to this DSW in 3137 Silverlake Village Drive Pearland, TX 77584 and the customer service was horrible... so unprofessional (disrespectful) I was kindly explaining the manager (the one with curly hair) that I needed a return because they were bad quality because that chip and she not even let me finish she was so rude and say she cannot take them back because will not be able to sell them again to anybody else. It's so sad how this store has change so badly. I will never return to any dsw. I strongly recommend anyone looking for good quality shoes with a respectful trustworthy store look somewhere else... Don't bother to call because the call will drop, no matter what number option you pick.

The phone number on their window for curbside pickup basically starts you on a never-ending loop of the same menu options. I don't guess they did any trouble shooting as the woman inside said "you're supposed to hit zero" and I explained that we did...multiple times. Otherwise, I've had solid experiences at this store pre-pandemic. read more

For the most part I can usually find something cute here. It's always a hit or miss for me. I've come in and have not been in love with one single shoe, and other times I find so many, I have to start talking myself out of some of them! Customer service is average. They're nice and there if you need them. Never have had a problem with them. It's not the courteous service you would receive at like Burberry, however big difference there. Lol! read more

This store is definitely on the small side, though it was neatly organized and had plenty of employees offering help. I usually visit the locations in Houston, but happened to be in the area and wanted to stop in peruse their clearance section. Upon entering the store and noticing how small it was, I was a little reluctant that I would find anything. However, I ended up purchasing two pairs of shoes that I couldn't find at any of Houston locations I had visited the previous week. read more

I'm sorry to be rude, but the people who work here are incompetent. I had a coupon for $20 off 100 purchase. I spent $130 and used a gift card and paid the rest in a credit card. They said because I used a gift card that I was unable to use the $20 coupon. I'm not sure what they don't understand about the fact that the gift card money wasn't given to me for free from DSW. It was a present that someone paid for. So why I wouldn't be able to use a gift card and a coupon, makes no sense. And there was no getting them to understand. Very confused. read more

I absolutely LOVE DSW ... however, I stopped in here today in between appointments to look for a pair of metallic platform sandals. I had never been in this location, but I frequent the Clear Lake location since it's closer to home. The store is incredibly small, as is the selection of shoes. I spent more time walking from the parking lot to the store, than I actually did inside the store. I guess I'll stick with the Clear Lake location since it's way larger and has way more shoes. This is my staple business for shoes. As a member, I should probably utilize their discounts but I never remember! The prices are decent enough as it is, so I never fret. Service is always great here. If I can't find a pair I want, they'll call around other locations to make sure they can hold it for me there, or vice versa. read more

I frequent this store and have never had any issues...until I placed an order in the store for an item to be shipped to my home. 11 days later she still no shoes! I called today only to discover there were issues that I should have been called and made aware! They were trying to apply a shipping charge, which I never approved, so my bank was declining the amount. Funny thing is, I was told it would be shipped free!!! I had to cancel my order, lose an entire item, and reorder the shoes! Seriously one of the worst customer service experiences. read more

I usually come into this store just because I feel like I need a new pair of shoes and I have some extra room in my spending budget, but I usually end up finding something that I love. I love love love their clearance section. It's easy to find a pair of shoes that are super cute but you know you'll never use them, so beware because they are very tempting! Every time I've visited I was greeted when I walked in, and when I pass an associate they greet me as well. They always offer me a bag, and during checkout they are super friendly. They even remind you about rewards on your account that are about to expire. Needless to say, I will probably be visiting this location again. read more

First time ever in a DSW, I'm not exactly a shoe fashionista; but my oldest son is getting married & I looked everywhere for the perfect mid height silver sandals. Although selection wasn't quite what I expected, staff was friendly & the young lady who had given me excellent directions also found me the perfect pewter purse (on sale!) Although I REALLY wish that half sizes had been available (she also checked online) as I hadnt expected to pay $79 (most of the shoes in that category were about $39), I'm happy to have a great 'quality' store with easy parking here in Pearland! read more
