This was my first time at this Nordstrom Rack location. I had found what I was looking for on the website the previous evening and went into the store to get it. It seems small compared to other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. However they have a decent variety of things, women's coats and jackets, active wear, pants, tops/blouses, intimate apparel. After some perusing, I found what I had came for. The quality of the outfit didn't look as good as it did online. Nonetheless I grabbed it and a couple other blouses and tried everything on in the fitting room. They had an attendant at the fitting room who was helpful and it was easy to get in and out of the dressing room. The checkout process was fairly quick and when asked the cashier let me know what their return policy was. I had until January (it was earlier this week when I purchased my items, so early November), with the receipt, all tags, and the items obviously never worn. I'm not sure if this is their usual return window or a special one for the holidays but its more than enough time to return something if you need to and I did so this was helpful. When I returned my items a couple hours later, after finding something that better fit my needs, the return process was a breeze and they refunded my money back to my original form of payment. read more

The selection of items was pretty good at this location! They were running a sale for an extra 40% off red tag clearance accessories and bags. There were some deals better than others but overall, better than I expected. The store is well kept. Associates were nice enough and the service was decent. I am more prone to shop where I like the environment and people so this isn't a 5 star location for me but it was good enough that I will definitely visit again. read more

I've had my eye on this Nordie Rack for a while. Each trip over to Galveston or towns along the way to visit fam, I've been tempted to pop in. But time never really permitted. Today, I had about 30 minutes to kill and was able to pop in, shop, try stuff on, pay an be out the door. This is the cleanest and most organized Nordstrom Rack out of the two I've been to (Uptown and Spring Branch). And this location - on a Wednesday evening - hardly had any other shoppers inside. It was like my own private shopping experience. Their jean selection wasn't as robust as the other two Greater Houston spots, but on a hot day like today, I wasn't too interested in pants! And they don't have some over the higher end or luxe clothing labels. But sunnies, hair products, makeup, shoes, athletic wear... I was set. Friendly staff too. read more

I may be a low maintenance female, but even a person like me likes to shop for good quality clothing sometimes, but that doesn't include overly expensive clothes. I may like majority of the clothing here and don't get me wrong some of the dresses that I spotted was simply beautiful and I absolutely fell in love with them once I'd seen them, but the disappointment came from the price tag. Yes, it was the tag hanging from the pieces. It wasn't the associates, the lack of quality nor quantity, but that sole white paper that states the numerical amount that frightened me the most. It may also be Halloween, so me seeing that sky high price gave me such a scare I don't think I'll be able to recover from.. I was shocked and surprised to find out that this place isn't equivalent to Marshall's, TJ Maxx, or Ross, but nope it's more like another department store that equals to Palais Royal, Macy's, JcPenney's, Dillard's and the rest of them.. Don't be fooled like my mum and I were. The prices were barely reasonable and it was at random we would find an affordable blouses or dresses that were $20 or even $14, but definitely nothing below that. Majority of the pieces we chose to browse was $30 and up, and that was even on the clearance rack too. Usually the clearance have good deals, but not here. I'd seen a super cute blouse originally priced at $49 and the sale price was $37. Now, that's not a big difference and paying that much for a blouse is ridiculous.. if you do have the money and even if you don't. I did buy a dress for $20 since the original price was $50; now that's a steal. The shoe department was very nice with some unique looks, but the same disappointment I appeared on my face. I really liked the modern baskets or if you say buggies. I'm thinking it was German made..since I've never seen them look so sleek and nice. Additionally, the associates were friendly, however the new technology with receipts seemed to be only geared toward the technology fiends or addicts: meaning: 1) you have to sign with your finger..now I'm not that old fashioned, but the fact that germs spread so easily and touchscreen devices aren't always the cleanest surface. 2) Not everyone is a smartphone addict expert and knows how to use one. I'm sure lots of people knows how to sign their signature with a pen, except for children nowadays as they aren't being taught cursive handwriting in schools.. 3) They ask for your email address and everybody knows having something that is considered spam or unnecessary that is being sent to your personal email can be an annoyance to deal with. The paper receipts are no good either, but at least you can trash them when you don't want them or let them accumulate in your car..but eventually you toss them away. This definitely wouldn't be the store for me and even when I start in my career..I don't think I'd give this store another chance.. read more

A lady named Iqra in the makeup section went out of her way to help me with my makeup and taught me what works for my skin and how to apply eyeliner, lipstick, and eye shadow. I really appreciated her kindness and compassionate heart and it was obvious that she wasn't trying to sell anything. Overall a great experience if anyone goes to the makeup aisle from Nordstrom and meets this kind young lady. read more

I love the Baybrook location. I am there at least 2-3 times a week! One it's convenient and 2 it's as if I have my own personal salesperson Alyssa, greets everyone who comes into the store. She has such a wonderful personality and let's me know where to find the new items they have received! I would rather go to Baybrook than to head over to Nordstrom in the galleria. read more

Overall impression: Really great products and clean store but service is super slow. Overall, this Nordstrom rack is pretty nice. Free parking, good organization, no overcrowding of racks, excellent selection, lots of fitting rooms, clean. Unfortunately, for some reason, the line for checkout took forever. There were only 3 people ahead of me but they only had one cashier for most of the time. But otherwise, the employees were all really nice and generally helpful. read more

Grand opening today! The store is massive with a wide variety of selections for very affordable prices. The best part is that the designer items are affordable as well! I love saving money when im shopping, and Nordstrom Rack is the best place to go to for good deals! There is the option to do mobile checkout which cuts down the wait time at the register. Look for the associates in the bright green shirt! So excited that I don't have to travel 45 minutes to the Galleria area now! read more

I'm here at least twice a week. You won't find the high end labels found at the one in the Galleria but you will always find parking here! The inventory is always good. The store is kept very neat. The staff is very helpful. They are always willing to help you find what you are looking for. Be sure go ask them to check the inventory at other stores so you won't make a blank trip. read more

I've been here a few times. I actually came on the grand opening day last March but it was so crazy that I waited for the crowds to die down before I tried them again. It's your typical discount designer store. It all depends on what you're looking for so some things are great finds and others are not. My favorite parts are the shoe department, handbag, and accessory items. Many things in these sections you can find cheaper than outlet stores, so that's a plus. Me personally, the women's clothing department is hit or miss. Overall, a good addition to Clear Lake. read more

The first Nordstrom Rack I ever visited was the one in the Galleria area and that one is crazy packed! I am so glad that the Clearlake area has added a Nordstrom Rack! I love that this location is not overly packed. It's a hit or miss at any Nordstrom Rack but I do think they have a good selection of items! I was in search for some horse riding boots and I actually found them at the Galleria location but they did not have my size so I came to this location and BAMM they were there! I was just discriminated against in this store, I have a disability and wasn't even asked why I didn't have my mask on and was immediately asked to leave which is a violation of my rights. I will not be shopping here again but being forced to leave is against the law. And as for the manager who asked me to leave, didn't even consider there might be a reason why I wasn't wearing a mask. Woo Hoo!!! Clear Lake now has its very own Nordstrom Rack... Exciting! Or is it? I noticed two weeks ago that they were working on prettying up the space that formerly housed DSW. When I drove by, they had a Nordstrom Rack bus in the parking lot and a huge group in the typical green t-shirts posing for a team picture. Boy was I excited! Fast forward to the grand opening this past Thursday, March 26th... I was greeted by a very nice young lady and was pretty excited to see what they had been brewing. So, what you'll find is a pretty typical Rack store in terms of layout. It is indeed smaller than the one in the Galleria area. As far as clothing selection, it's decent and priced right, but not much to write home about. The shoe selection is a notch better compared to the clothes, so I had a blast checking them out. The one thing that disappointed me a tad is that I did not see much selection of the shoe gems I've found at other racks around the country (I'm looking at you, Chicago), like Via Spiga, Alessandro Dell'Acqua, and Diane von Furstenberg. Also, the handbag selection was limited. Although a nice addition to the area I think it still has a way to go to be competitive with other stores in its market. Since they are super new, let's hope it can only get better. read more

Very clean and big store! Much cleaner than the galleria location I am used to going to. Also the staff is very friendly and look cheerful in their bright green shirts! Love the ease of mobile checkouts and most of the time you do not need to do mobile check out because the cashiers get the line down very fast! I do have to say I am in love with the boy with the green hair! He is very pretty, very friendly and helpful and has a wonderful smile that makes you enjoy his presence! I suggest checking out with him and opening rewards with him as he is very knowledgeable on that subject and convinced me to open one! Thanks to him, I am now earning points per dollar and getting my way up to free spending money with nordstrom notes! Just ask for Tyler when opening an account! read more

Love this place. For a few months they were lacking on men's clothes but now everything is back. Great deals on casual clothes gym clothes and suits. I come here all the time. They could stand to have a little more in the men's department and more in the men's shoes. But overall always great deals good clothes and good service. read more

So they had some stuff here at ok discounted prices. I wasn't too impressed. I think I'll stick with other bargain stores instead of here. Maybe this location just doesn't have a lot. I was able to find some nice smelling candles and scarfs for some of my gifts. As far as cleanliness, the store was rather clean and clothes rack neat. Easy to find your sizes on the racks. Customer service was average. No one going out of their way to help me find stuff. Their home decor is very limited. Their workout gear limited as well. I'll try it again in the future just in case I have a different experience, but not eager to come back. read more

I'm not sure this location deserves the full 4 stars. This location is so hit or miss. I am glad that it was added to all of our Clear Lake shopping, but you can't be guaranteed to always find something. It's a great location, right across from Baybrook Mall and easy to get to, along with plenty of parking. The store is usually kept clean and organized, sometimes the jewelry is a mess, but the dressing rooms are always kept up and the clothing areas seem to receive attention. I can just never find clothing that I truly love and must have, not the way I can at Nordstrom. They usually have a great shoe selection, but lacking in the handbags. I like stopping in here just to see what they've gotten in recently, but the selection doesn't vary super often. The line always moves fast at checkout and cashiers usually offer mobile checkout towards the middle of the store if you are ready. I had an issue with the manager here a few months back and ever since, I think I've been turned off from giving them my business and have started swinging into DSW or over to Baybrook Mall. I was quoted a price from an associate on the floor- he shared that this specific pair of shoes was on additional discount as part of clear the rack sale. After going to check out and being told otherwise, I walked away and left the shoes. I called back the next day to talk to the manager and shared that I really wanted them, but wanted the price I was quoted to be honored. She agreed and after going back to the store and chatting with her in person, she advised me that matching this price again wouldn't be an option because that employee has language barriers and she can't just match a price because he didn't understand what I was asking. Again- I was really turned off by how she handled it and how curt she was with me. I am always impressed with Nordstrom customer service and being a card holder, I would expect to be treated decently. Being a "rack" store shouldn't change that. I wouldn't let one person change my mind on my overall view of the store- the cashiers are always friendly and there is usually staff around the store to help if needed. I just hope she doesn't pass her attitude on to the rest of the employees. I'll continue to shop here, but I do prefer ordering directly from Nordstom or visiting the Galleria location when I am in the area. read more

I came in here Wednesday afternoon to do some shopping. I love Free People and I always find great deals on shoes here. I was standing at the Free People feature trying on jackets not even 2 minutes later a girl walk towards my way giving me the side eye. She then proceeds to stand on the pad next to me looking at me try on jackets. I made my way to the shoe department and I peep loss prevention STALKING me. Here's the thing, I have been in retail for 7 years so I can peep loss prevention. As I was trying on a pair of chuck Taylor's he pretends to be fixing up sandals staring at me the entire time. He follows me to the line and purchase the sandals... but he was just over there in shoes fixing them up???? I left out of the store and the sandals guy never came out after me. YOU'RE LOSS PREVENTION! You seen a young black man and made a nasty assumption. I was going to call him out but I decided to just purchase my items (2 pair of shoes) and leave. NEWS FLASH NORDSTROM! Bought a lot of stuff here while visiting Houston. The store is kept very organized and clean! The only other NR I have ever visited was disorganized and extremely chaotic (Seattle). I noticed the sale attendants putting clothes back on the racks as soon as customers were done with them in the dressing rooms, this made for an organized and clean dressing room as well. I felt there was a good selection of brands and different things. The prices are as always amazing. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is because my cashier, though nice, made me feel dumb because I didn't want a NR credit card. When I repeatedly refused the credit card she said I could do a debit in which I thought about but wasn't paying with a debit card so it would have been pointless anyway (as I visit a NR every few years) so then it was back to the credit card push. This store has an extremely small men's section compared to the other racks I've been to. However, it is a nice and clean (and new) store, and the employees are very friendly. I've even overheard them talking to one another saying that they're not quite certain about the clientele they are targeting. They need to rethink the men's section!
