    Long line. Only two cashiers.

Full disclosure: this is more of a rant than a review. It's Saturday at 3 pm. Checkout line is 15 customers deep. Only two cashiers. You'd have figured they could plan their staffing better for this very busy Thanksgiving weekend. Total wait about 15 to 20 minutes. All the more reason to buy online next time. Also, unless you have a DSW account and the coupons that come with it, you'll be overpaying. Walmart and online are cheaper.

Always find a killer clearance deal here! Service is pretty slow occasionally, but it's a good store.

Donna took one look at my face and said, "I have the perfect dress for you." I'm between 12-14 and am working through some insecurities, so when she said that, I said "yeah, right." Donna told me I deserved to feel delicious in my dress, so I tried it on. My God. I looked and felt like a mermaid Goddess. The dress is a beautiful mermaid/trumpet style gown that hugged my curves in all the right places (I'll update with pictures soon!). It was affordable and very well-made. Normally, I would've walked right by it. Thank God I listened to Donna's advice. She is honest, smart, so so stylish, and she sees and celebrates the beauty of everyone who walks into her boutique. I felt like Cinderella and Donna was the fairy godmother (the Brandy/Whitney Houston version with the sassy and fabulous Godmother!). I could go on about our wonderful, h uplifting conversation, but I'll end my review with this: Stop in and say hi. See what's there. I guarantee you will leave feeling "delicious!"

Unfortunately the follow through sucks. Placed an order and paid for rush shipping, called twice to confirm the status of my order advised each time my order was on schedule. So at 8pm on the day my order should have arrived I called again and was finally told my order had not even been printed yet and that a new delivery date had not yet been set. I was furious. Now to their credit the service representatives were all very polite. The final young lady was super accommodating she refunded my rush shipping fee and offered me a $20 voucher for a future purchase one I highly doubt I will be taking advantage of. I understand things happen short staffed, supply chain, equipment malfunctions etc. My main complaint is the lack of communication and accountability. They knew my order was delayed and would not arrive on time yet assured me twice that everything was right on schedule. They assured me I would be notified if there was any problem, yet no one ever called or emailed me. Each time it was me who initiated the contact with them. So no I wouldn't recommend using them next time I will go to a local brick and mortar shop. It will probably cost more but at least I they have to look me in the eyes and answer my questions. Hopefully my order will eventually arrive

This job required blue jeans, an article of clothing he previously shunned. I knew we'd need a variety of sizes and cuts for him to figure out what was most comfortable. So off we go to Old Navy, me happily and him looking like he was in the Bataan Death March. He's not a clothes shopper. As expected, they had their Wall Of Jeans, grouped by cut. We got there early, just after opening. What was surprising and disappointing was the disarray on the shelves. Jeans heaped in piles. Sizes all over the place. Sizes plain old missing. If looked like the end of a busy day, not the start. I plowed through, sending Sir Grumpy off to try on different cuts and measurements. Fairly...almost too quickly- he deemed a pair or two "perfect". Fine. I then browsed for some shorts for me, found a few great pairs. Done. This particular location is cavernous, as it was a Penn Fruit grocery store in a previous life. It's decent laid out and well lit. The staff were fine. Where it fell short though was in the disarray- either poor restocks no management, or none. Given that the big is an odd size tight now I likely will be going elsewhere in the future, where the stocking is better and the size availability is complete.

I haven't been here in years, but since I was in the area, I figured 'Hey, why not?". The moment I entered the door, the older lady working the counter gave me a dirty look, including a once-over like she was better than me or something. Not cool. But, brushing it off, I decided I still wanted to visit their infamous "Dollar Room". I found a cute pair of white cutoff shorts with a dark blue nautical anchor pattern on them for one dollar! Of course, when I went up to the counter with the shorts, the lady tried to make nice with me by discussing what a great find they were, but I just smiled, paid, and left. The jewelry in the other room was so-so, and the prices were normal for main line thrift stores. (Too high for my taste though!) I didn't even look upstairs so I don't know what else they had. Maybe someone else will brave the beast at the front desk and check out the stuff upstairs. I just didn't have the patience to play nice with a snob,

Quality of the clothes (dirty/stained/major pilling or wear). This usually doesn't bother me at thrift stores since obviously the clothes are preowned, but I encountered SO MANY dirty, stained, pilling, super worn-out clothes. One white button-down from the Gap had huge, brownish armpit stains! Gross! The shoes were pretty dirty, too. And this ties in to the next issue-- 2. Pricing (too high considering the quality!) Clothes were obviously priced according to their brands rather than their condition. This makes sense...to a point. I get it. But selling a fleece jacket that is completely misshapen, faded, pilling, at the end of its usable life for $15 just because it is North Face seems wrong somehow. Most of the quality-brand clothes I saw (J. Crew, Anne Taylor, etc.) had such pilling and wear that the prices just didn't seem justified. 3. Rude staff. I don't have too much to say about this because I don't want to call anyone out--I get that it's a volunteer operation--but, seriously. The lady working there was just plain rude. 4. Counterfeit/fake items. I saw several fake handbags for sale. Their printed price tag for one of these actually said "Burberry handbag--fake." What??????? The real designer bags were locked up in a glass display case while several fakes were knowingly placed around the store. Selling counterfeit handbags is illegal. It's also tacky considering the emphasis on high-end brands. All in all too many cons for me. If they lowered their prices, were more discriminating with their stock, and worked on customer service that would make a big difference. If you decide to visit, make sure you're feeling patient and ready to hunt really hard for a good deal. And bring hand sanitizer! :)
