I spoke with the owner to explain my experience, as I strongly prefer to support local businesses whenever possible. During that conversation, he indicated that he did not believe a seven-month delay was an issue. I requested a modest additional credit of 10% of the order total due to the prolonged delay, which he declined, characterizing the request as usury. He then made an inappropriate and offensive personal remark. Interactions are always two-way, but the owner asking me if I'm rich and suggesting I have a handicap was uncalled for.

Yes, they do from every shape and style of shade to glass bulbs, to fixtures, switches, bulbs, to antiques, to new stuff -- they appear to have just about everything for lighting and lamps. A designer friend told me about Lili Marlene and we had custom shades made for the lamps. They were perfect. I then needed a small decorative lamp and used an old base and shade and asked Lili Marlene to use a piece of fabric that I had to make a new shade. Because of the size and weight, it cost an additional $1,200.00 to have the ceiling reinforced and hung. This piece is now over $4,000.00! Just one week from the three year anniversary of purchasing it, the chandelier just quit working! The manufacturer, Troy Lighting, simply said, essentially, Too Bad, you've only got a one year warranty. UL, however, stepped up and connected us with a specialist in the lighting repair and restoration field and determined it could be repaired!!! We began purchasing from UL nearly 20 years ago and, today, more than 85% of the fixed and non-fixed lighting, and at least 35% of accessories, in our home are from them. Because of their professionalism to not just helping the customer, but also taking a proactive approach to doing what is right, our future lighting and home decor needs will come from UL!! No one came to see if we needed help. Three employees, no customers except us and they couldn't be bothered. All staring at computer screens. It's really awkward and I'd rather just leave. I would not have posted, but this happened when I bought out door lights! I had to wait at the counter until someone finally offered to help. We were literally ignored. I spent over $2,500 (not much, but enough that you would think they'd show some interest). Loved the quality and why we came back. My guess is they work on large remodels or new construction and spend most of their time and effort working on large quotes.
